The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 470: Chapter 470: How Dare You Give Orders to Your Master?

The old matriarch nodded without hesitation. ”Of course, not a problem. Is this Xiaocheng a very good friend of Qiuyu’s?”

Yang Qiuyu suddenly smiled, a beautiful yet tragic smile. ”Revered Teacher, Cheng Yuan killed my son! My only son!”

The members of the Yang Family’s second generation frowned slightly, especially Yang Haoyu. They were all somewhat bothered by the fact that Yang Qiuyu had a child.

However, they soon got over it.

The old matriarch had borne even more children, and even though she was nearly eighty, the Old Dragon King and Yang Jian were still smitten with her.

’Yang Qiuyu had only borne one child. What was there for them to be bothered about?’

The old matriarch’s expression instantly darkened. ”Qiuyu’s son is my own grand-disciple! Qiuyu, rest assured. At the disciple acceptance ceremony, I will get justice for you!”

”Thank you, Revered Teacher!”

Yang Jian suddenly remembered something and said in a low voice, ”Sister-in-law, Old Jiu was also killed by this Cheng Yuan!”

The old matriarch’s gaze hardened, and she shot a cool glance at Yang Qiuyu.

Yang Qiuyu wasn’t flustered in the slightest. She met the old matriarch’s gaze calmly. ”Revered Teacher, Qiuyu came to the Yang Family for the sole purpose of avenging my son! Master Jiu went to Dongshan to help me get that revenge!”

The old matriarch’s expression softened slightly. ’Yang Qiuyu’s calm admission meant she had a clear conscience. Old Jiu’s death was simply because his skills were lacking, not because he had been lured into a trap.’

”I remember Dongshan valuing literature over martial arts. It’s at the very bottom of the Dragon Country Ancient Martial Realm rankings, with barely any Martial Kings. For this Cheng Yuan to be able to kill Xiaojiu... interesting. Is he a diamond in the rough? Or a prodigy taught by one of my old friends? I’ll have to meet him for myself.”

After speaking, the old matriarch turned to her eldest son, Yang Lingzhi, and gave a cool command. ”Lingzhi, contact Dragon Flame personally. Fax an invitation to Huangfu Yanyi.”

”Yes, Mother.”

Beside them, Yang Jian clearly grew nervous. ”Sister-in-law, that old bastard Huangfu Yanyi has always had designs on you! You can’t let him bewitch you!”

The old matriarch smiled gently. ”Jian, are you still calling me Sister-in-law?”

Yang Jian was visibly taken aback for a moment. ”Then... then what should I call you?”

”If you’d like to call off our earlier bet, I have no objection.”

”No, no, no! A bet’s a bet, and we must honor it. We can’t just call it off.”

After a pause, Yang Jian called out her name softly, slightly embarrassed. ”Fang... Fanghua.”

A nostalgic look appeared on the old matriarch’s face. ’How many years has it been?’

’How many years since someone last called her by her name?’

’She had almost forgotten her own name.’

The old matriarch’s gaze toward Yang Jian softened considerably. She waved her hand gently. ”I am a bit tired. All of you, arrange a place for Qiuyu to stay and show her around the Yang Family estate. I will begin teaching her tomorrow.”

”Yes!”

The group quickly took their leave with Yang Qiuyu, leaving the old matriarch and Yang Jian alone.

Even as an old man in his seventies, Yang Jian was still a little shy and flustered in front of the old matriarch, his face even turning a little red.

The old matriarch suddenly felt the urge to tease him.

”Jian, I’m tired. Shall we go to my room and rest?”

’Go to her room and rest?’

Yang Jian subconsciously gulped. ”This... wouldn’t that be improper?”

”Why would it be improper?”

”We haven’t had a wedding ceremony yet.”

The old matriarch rolled her eyes in exasperation, raised a slender finger, and poked Yang Jian on the forehead.

”Jian, we’re old enough to have one foot in the grave. Why get hung up on worldly formalities? As long as we’re happy, that’s all that matters.”

Yang Jian laughed. ”You always see things so clearly, Fanghua. I’ve made a fool of myself. It’s just...”

”Just what?”

”I am so old, while you, Fanghua, are as stunning as ever. I’m not worthy of you.”

The old matriarch smiled faintly. ”It seems you still don’t understand what the Merak King Body is, Jian. As you are now, you’re right, you’re not worthy of me in appearance. But by this time tomorrow, you will be.”

Yang Jian’s eyes lit up. ’He always thought his elder brother looked younger than him. So this was the reason?’

With his worries gone, Yang Jian was no longer hesitant.

Yang Jian scooped the old matriarch up in his arms and strode toward his courtyard.

A cunning smile flickered across the old matriarch’s lips.

’Huangfu Yanyi, if you were to see Jian regain his youth, I wonder what you would think?’

’Would you regret the choice you made back then?’

...

「Dragon Flame, the Old Dragon King’s Secluded Chamber.」

Liao Kai, Commander of the Old Dragon King’s Personal Guard Army, strode forward and saluted Yang Qianhuan. ”Greetings, Dragon Head.”

Yang Qianhuan asked with some curiosity, ”What happened? What requires Brother Liao to personally request an audience with my teacher?”

”The Jinling Yang Family sent an invitation via fax. They are inviting the Old Dragon King to attend a disciple acceptance ceremony in three days!”

Yang Qianhuan’s pupils contracted slightly. ”Is the old matriarch taking a disciple?”

”Yes. Otherwise, this subordinate would not have dared to disturb the Old Dragon King.”

”Give me the invitation. I will present it to our teacher shortly.”

”Very well. Thank you for your trouble, Dragon Lord.”

Half an hour later, the chamber door slowly opened, and the Old Dragon King’s voice drifted out. ”Qianhuan, come in.”

Yang Qianhuan quickly walked into the chamber, came before the Old Dragon King, and bowed respectfully.

”Teacher, the Jinling Yang Family has sent an invitation. Madam Murong is holding a disciple acceptance ceremony in three days and invites you to attend.”

The Old Dragon King’s eyes snapped open. Finally, he let out a long sigh. ”Reply to the Jinling Yang Family. Tell them I won’t be joining the festivities.”

Yang Qianhuan was startled. ”Teacher, but aren’t you...?”

The Old Dragon King smiled faintly. ”Qianhuan, were you going to ask if I’m not in love with Murong Fanghua?”

Yang Qianhuan gave an embarrassed laugh. ”This disciple wouldn’t dare.”

”What’s there not to dare? Who in the entire Ancient Martial Realm doesn’t know that I, Huangfu Yanyi, am in love with Murong Fanghua?”

”Then why...?”

”To be honest, I wronged Fanghua. Back then, your teacher and Fanghua were seen as a golden couple, childhood sweethearts. Everyone thought we would end up together. But, in order to cultivate the Supreme Forget Love Dao, I personally severed my feelings for her and drew a clear line between us. To get back at me, Fanghua threw herself into the arms of that good-for-nothing Yang Song. Later, my cultivation of the Supreme Forget Love Dao hit a bottleneck. Only then did I realize I was wrong! Terribly wrong! So, I tried to get back together with Fanghua. You know the rest. Fanghua despises me for abandoning her and has never given me another chance. Even if I go to this disciple ceremony, I’ll only be humiliating myself.”

The corners of Yang Qianhuan’s mouth twitched uncontrollably. ’So that was the tangled history of love and hate between his teacher and Madam Murong.’

”Teacher, I’m afraid you might have to make this trip to the Yang Family.”

The Old Dragon King glared. ”Qianhuan, you have some nerve! Are you daring to order your teacher around?”

Yang Qianhuan ducked his head. ”It is not this disciple who is arranging things for Master, but Little Junior Brother.”
