The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 476: Chapter 476: Cheng Yuan, You Will Never Get Past Me

The three were lost in their own thoughts.

They rode the rest of the way in silence.

Fifteen minutes later, the car arrived at a street lined with bars.

He Zhixuan and Liu Ruyan, knowing the way, led Cheng Yuan to a light music bar called Lanxin Bar.

The owner of Lanxin Bar was Chang Lanxin, another one of He Zhixuan’s best friends.

Unlike Liu Ruyan, Chang Lanxin hadn’t been He Zhixuan’s classmate in elementary or middle school; the two had met in college.

To be precise, they had met by chance on the train on their way to register for classes.

As classmates from the same hometown, they gradually grew closer and became best friends who could talk about anything.

Chang Lanxin also knew all about Cheng Yuan. She had even accompanied He Zhixuan to watch Cheng Yuan play soccer on many occasions.

Delighted to hear that her two best friends were coming, Chang Lanxin went to wait for them at the bar’s main entrance.

Having grown up terrified of poverty, Liu Ruyan would absolutely not allow her best friend to marry some broke ex-con.

Chang Lanxin, however, was completely different. She came from an affluent family who had given her the money to open a medium-sized bar right after graduation.

Chang Lanxin didn’t care at all about a partner’s family background; to her, love was more important than anything.

So, when she heard that Cheng Yuan was coming too, Chang Lanxin was genuinely happy for He Zhixuan.

Chang Lanxin craned her neck, looking around eagerly, hoping to be the first to spot her two best friends.

Her anticipation soon paid off. Chang Lanxin spotted He Zhixuan and Liu Ruyan, and then Cheng Yuan, who was walking behind the two women.

Overjoyed, Chang Lanxin waved at the three of them. ”Zhixuan, Ruyan, over here!”

Not far away, the door of a Rolls-Royce opened, and a slender young man with a pale complexion stepped out. He looked somewhat frail.

The young man’s alluring eyes glinted as he sized Chang Lanxin up and down, a strange smile playing on his lips.

The young man raised his hand, pointed at Chang Lanxin, and asked, ”Who’s that woman?”

An underling beside him answered respectfully, ”Young Master Lin, that’s Chang Lanxin, the owner of Lanxin Bar.”

”Interesting. Come on, let’s get a private room at Lanxin Bar and have a few drinks.”

”Yes, Young Master Lin.”

...

Unaware that she had been targeted, Chang Lanxin enthusiastically welcomed He Zhixuan and Liu Ruyan into the bar and got them the best private room.

”Zhixuan, Ruyan, the usual?”

”Mhm.”

The two women nodded slightly.

Chang Lanxin smiled and looked at Cheng Yuan. ”Cheng Yuan, what would you like to drink?”

Cheng Yuan was taken aback. ”I’ll have whatever. Ma’am, you know me?”

”Of course I do, Cheng Yuan. You were the most handsome guy at Luocheng Medical University. Back when you were dating Wang Shanshan, you broke countless girls’ hearts.”

As she spoke, Chang Lanxin glanced at He Zhixuan with a teasing smile.

”Ma’am, you were an upperclassman too?”

”Of course. Not only was I an upperclassman, I was also Zhixuan’s best friend in college. I often went along when Zhixuan went to the field to watch you play soccer, you know.”

Cheng Yuan fell silent. ’Was I blind back then?’

’How did I not see her? How did I only see Wang Shanshan?’

Liu Ruyan couldn’t help but frown. ’Is Lanxin trying to set Zhixuan up with Cheng Yuan?’

’This can’t happen!’

Liu Ruyan decided to send Chang Lanxin away. ”Lanxin, we’ll have plenty of time to catch up later. Hurry up and go mix our drinks!”

Chang Lanxin laughed. ”Ruyan, you’re still so impatient. Alright, alright, I’ll go make the drinks.”

Chang Lanxin walked slowly toward the bar.

Liu Ruyan shot Cheng Yuan a discreet glance, then asked casually, ”Zhixuan, didn’t you want to learn bartending from Lanxin? Now’s the perfect chance. Why don’t you hurry over and learn a thing or two?”

He Zhixuan didn’t think much of it and smiled brightly at Cheng Yuan. ”Cheng Yuan, have some fruit and pastries. I’m going to go learn with Ruyan for a bit. I’ll be right back.”

Cheng Yuan nodded slightly.

The moment He Zhixuan left, the smile on Liu Ruyan’s face instantly vanished.

”Mr. Cheng, Lanxin grew up sheltered and doesn’t know how cruel society can be. She might not mind you being with Zhixuan, but you’ll never get past me.”

Cheng Yuan gave Liu Ruyan an indifferent glance. ”Miss Liu, you think a bit too highly of yourself, don’t you? I don’t need to explain my actions to you! And I certainly don’t need to ’get past you’!”

Cheng Yuan’s words nearly made Liu Ruyan choke.

Fortunately, a few servers arrived with their drinks, easing the awkwardness.

The servers carefully placed six bottles of Ace of Spades champagne, each a different varietal, on the table. ”Miss Liu, sir,” one said respectfully, ”your champagne has arrived. Please enjoy.”

Liu Ruyan’s confidence returned. She pointed nonchalantly at the champagne and said, ”Mr. Cheng, do you know what this is? It’s Ace of Spades. One bottle is 8,888. In one night, we can drink away your entire annual salary. What makes you think you can give Zhixuan happiness?”

8,888?

To an ordinary person, that was indeed a lot of money—an astronomical price.

But to Cheng Yuan? ’You call this money?’

Yuanxi Pharmaceutical was already worth tens of billions.

Of course, Cheng Yuan couldn’t be bothered to explain. Liu Ruyan was already looking at him with prejudice; she would definitely think he was just bragging.

Cheng Yuan said flatly, ”You can buy this champagne for 2,000 yuan at most outside. I really don’t see what you’re so proud of, Miss Liu. Is it that fun being a sucker?”

”You!!!”

Liu Ruyan was about to explode with anger, but fortunately, a sudden cheer from the bar distracted her.

At that moment, Chang Lanxin had reached the front of the bar.

Chang Lanxin grabbed a cocktail shaker and skillfully tossed it into the air.

As one of He Zhixuan’s best friends, Chang Lanxin was already gorgeous enough to be considered the prettiest girl in her class. Combined with her cool flair bartending, her charm instantly skyrocketed.

She became an absolute goddess!

The absolute center of attention!

The young men in the bar grew instantly excited!

In an instant, the bar was filled with whistles and screams.

Young Master Lin, who had gotten a luxury private room, stared at Chang Lanxin with a burning gaze. ’Damn, what a feisty, captivating woman!’

’I have to have her tonight!’

Young Master Lin snapped his fingers. A server immediately hurried over and asked respectfully, ”Sir, would you like to order a drink?”

Young Master Lin pointed at Chang Lanxin and asked, ”What’s that bartender’s name?”

”Sir, that’s our boss! Sister Lan.”

’The boss?’

Young Master Lin’s eyes grew even brighter.

Clearly, the fact that she was the owner excited him even more.

”Bring me a Grand Divine Dragon set, and have your boss make me a glass of your most expensive drink.”

The server was instantly thrilled. A Grand Divine Dragon set was 188,000, and the boss’s most expensive cocktail was 88,800. He was going to make a huge commission on this!

”A Grand Divine Dragon set for Private Room One! And one Supreme Emperor Brew!”

The bar’s hype crew immediately set off confetti cannons, and for a moment, confetti rained down!

The hype crew started shouting, ”A Grand Divine Dragon set and a Supreme Emperor Brew for the VIP in Private Room One!”

Instantly, the eyes of many girls and bar shills in the bar lit up, and they all started swarming toward Private Room One.

”Sir, you’re such a big spender! We were wondering if we might have the pleasure of drinking with you?”

”Hey handsome! You’re so generous! Care to have a drink with us?”

Under normal circumstances, Young Master Lin would have taken them all. They were throwing themselves at him, after all—it would be a waste not to take what was offered.

Unfortunately for them, Young Master Lin had a very clear goal today.

Young Master Lin shot the girls a cold glance. ”A bunch of tacky sluts. Get the hell away from me!”
