Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1489: Chapter 1491: It’s All Pig Food

The entire second floor is quite spacious.

The Tang Family had reserved the whole level, in addition to the five tables they set, there was still a stretch of space and two empty tables between the sofas and where the banquet was held.

So actually, many people didn’t notice what was happening here before, thinking it was just children making a fuss.

Now a few of them are dealing with the incident here, which isn’t drawing much attention either. Of course, except for Elder Lei, Old Gan, and a few others who knew the situation.

”Was the child hit by a walking stick? Where were they hit?” Chiang Xiao looked at the child.

Kuang Yun Xian stepped forward and added, ”Let me have a look.”

Xiao Guang’s Mom immediately hugged Xiao Guang tightly and took a step back with him. ”Are you a doctor?”

”I’m not a doctor, but I know a bit about first aid for trauma. Let me check first and then we can take him to the hospital. It’s not good to delay,” Kuang Yun Xian spoke gently.

Xiao Guang’s Mom hesitated but let go of the child.

Kuang Yun Xian asked Xiao Guang, ”Tell Uncle, where did you get hit?”

Xiao Guang sniffled and touched the side of his head.

Kuang Yun Xian touched it lightly, looked closely, stood up straight, turned back to Chiang Xiao, and said, ”It’s just a bump. Shouldn’t be serious.”

Xiao Guang’s Dad was immediately displeased, ”You’re not a doctor, how can you just touch and say it’s not serious? Will you take responsibility if there’s a problem?” Pointing at Old Meng, he said, ”I think he should go with us to the hospital!”

Chiang Xiao stepped forward, turned her hand, and with a magical gesture, took out a piece of pastry, offering it to Xiao Guang, ”Tell me who hit you, and this treat is yours.”

The pastry gave off a tempting sweetness. Xiao Guang couldn’t resist the scent, reached out quickly to grab it, and pointed to the child who had grabbed the walking stick earlier, blurting out the truth, ”Xiao Wei! He took the old man’s walking stick and wouldn’t give it back, just waving it around and hitting me with it!”

Chiang Xiao let him snatch the little piece of pastry, which he stuffed into his mouth all at once.

Xiao Wei was such a small kid, he couldn’t have had much strength. The bump on Xiao Guang’s head would probably heal in a day or two; a concussion seemed unlikely.

Moreover, she had given him a piece of pastry.

When the woman from before heard Xiao Guang naming her grandson, she immediately became reluctant, calling out, ”Xiao Wei is so young, what does he know? It was Old Mr. Meng who gave him the stick to play with...”

She hadn’t even finished her sentence when Chiang Xiao gave her a look and retorted, ”A walking stick is fun to play with? Are you an idiot? Why would he give his walking stick to your child to play with, someone he barely knows? It seems your head doesn’t think, and your skull must be stuffed only with pig feed?”

Kuang Yun Xian almost couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

When Chiang Xiao was in a foul mood, whoever provoked her was unlucky. Her insults were completely merciless.

He himself couldn’t curse at people like that, but listening to her was strangely satisfying.

Chiang Xiao was indeed in a bad mood and angry. When she first came in and saw Old Meng trembling and surrounded by these people, even on the verge of being attacked, if she hadn’t shown up, wouldn’t he have been bullied to death?

She was angry with Old Meng and didn’t want to bother with the Meng Family, but after all, this was Tyrant Meng’s own grandfather, an elderly man advanced in years.

She and Tyrant Meng were simply ignoring each other, so what right did these people have to bully him like this?

Besides, she didn’t believe a word they said. Would Old Meng give his walking stick to a child he didn’t know to play with? He wasn’t a fool!
