Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 693: Chapter 694 A Group of Women

Duan Qingqing slightly lifted her eyes and glanced at him, then curled her lips disdainfully.

That day, Fong Jianye had not regained consciousness.

Gao Wei finally felt a sense of relief in his heart.

He felt very conflicted now. As a friend, he did not wish for Fong Jianye to come to harm, but what if Fong Jianye woke up and told the truth?

The relationship between the Fong Family and the Gao Family could not become hostile, as their fathers had always been supportive of each other and knew each other’s secrets. If they became enemies, it would be bad for both parties.

Moreover, he did not want Meng Xinian to get off scot-free in this matter.

The doctor said that the longer Fong Jianye took to wake up, the more dangerous it became.

A day and a night had already passed, and it seemed that Fong Jianye’s chances were slim.

By evening, the Fong Family’s emotions were becoming increasingly uncontrollable.

Taking advantage of their gender, Fong Jianye’s two sisters started wailing and charged at Meng Xinian, swinging their hands to scratch his face.

”If anything happens to my brother, you couldn’t make it right even if you died a hundred times!”

”You bastard! Give me my brother back!”

Meng Xinian’s hands clenched into fists, his knuckles cracking loudly.

”I don’t have a habit of not hitting women.”

”Then hit us, if you dare! Let’s see how outrageous your Meng Family can be! We, the Fong Family, will fight to the death against you!”

”Aim for me here!” Fong Jianye’s second sister thrust her chest toward him provocatively.

Meng Chaojun had a lot of work to do at his unit, and since Duan Qingqing seemed to be in very poor spirits at lunchtime, his heart ached for his wife, and he took her home early.

Old Meng, however, was worried about his grandson and stayed there all along. But after sitting there all day, his spirit was languishing, and he had just closed his eyes for a moment.

Now awakened by the noisy quarrel, he stood up anxiously, but the sudden movement was too much, and he blacked out, collapsing to the ground.

”Old Meng!”

”Grandpa Meng!”

The two Guard Officers left by Meng Chaojun were originally holding back Meng Xinian from laying hands on the two Fong sisters. Seeing Old Meng fall, they were startled and quickly rushed over.

The next voice, however, belonged to Du Jinruo.

It was not until evening that Du Jinruo heard about the incident and hurried over, just in time to witness Old Meng fainting. She dashed over like a swift swan, reaching Old Meng before the two Guard Officers to support him.

But her strength was not sufficient. Old Meng was tall and heavy, and the pressure of his fall was too great. In the process, Du Jinruo was also pulled down. As she fell, she tried her best to protect Old Meng, managing to support him so he did not crash to the floor, but she twisted her ankle.

There was a snapping sound, and the pain contorted her facial features.

The scene became chaotic.

Meng Xinian wanted to go to Old Meng’s aid, but all the people from the Fong Family surrounded him.

Even Fong Jianye’s grandparents stood in his way, reaching out to hit his head and face.

”You little rascal, pay with your life for what you’ve done to my grandson!”

”The Meng Family should have dealt with you, a scourge, long ago! A wild brat without a mother’s teaching, always so overbearing!”

”Go on, hit me! Let’s see how tough your wings are to be so arrogant!”

Fong Jianye’s grandmother, mother, and two sisters were scratching Meng Xinian like shrews.

With so many people and so many hands, he could not escape.

The two Guard Officers left by Meng Chaojun had gone to aid Old Meng, and no one noticed him being surrounded and scratched by a group of women like this.

Hiss.

Eventually, Meng Xinian couldn’t avoid it, and a bloody scratch appeared on his face.

Although he didn’t have a principle against hitting women, that was with regard to criminals. Against the group of women from the Fong Family, if he really fought back with abandon, what followed would become even more uncontrollable.
