But soon, he thought of something, clicked his tongue, and said, ”It’s just a pity that Old Zhang isn’t here. Otherwise, he would definitely be happy for you.”

”Yeah! This guy was reportedly in the Middle East a few days ago, and we don’t know how the situation is over there now. He went there just before graduation, and now he’s going to miss today’s ceremony and probably can’t make it for tomorrow’s group photo either.”

Jin Linyu echoed, with a tinge of regret in his tone.

After all, this is a once-in-a-lifetime college graduation ceremony for most people.

If possible.

Everyone hopes that their closest friends can be there.

”Alright, alright, don’t be so pessimistic, making it sound like Old Zhang has passed away. At worst, we can organize another event and take a graduation photo together when Old Zhang returns.”

Hearing Jin Linyu’s regret, Dong Guoning patted his shoulder and comforted him.

Upon hearing this, Jin Linyu nodded.

He didn’t continue discussing this topic.

He just changed the subject and started chatting again.

As they chatted, time passed by, second by second.

Finally.

At five in the afternoon.

The graduation ceremony started on time.

The principal of Shi University appeared on stage, first saying some irrelevant things.

It was nothing more than marveling at how quickly time flies, encouraging students to stay positive, and reminding them to keep improving themselves even after leaving school, and so on.

After saying all these official words.

He stood on stage, holding the graduation certificates, while the teacher began to call names. The students called went on stage, where the principal handed them the certificates one by one.

”Sister Siqi, where is the master? Didn’t he say he would come today? The ceremony has started, and there’s no sign of him yet.”

Wearing her graduation gown, Chen Rourou took the certificate from the principal and immediately approached Lin Siqi, asking curiously.

Upon hearing this, Lin Siqi took out her phone and glanced at the ’almost there’ message sent by Zhang Beixing ten minutes ago.

She replied uncertainly, ”He should be here soon. What’s up?”

”Nothing, just asking. After all, it’s a pretty important event, and it feels like a pity if the master doesn’t come.”

Chen Rourou said.

Lin Siqi nodded in agreement.

It’s true to say so.

But there’s nothing she can do. After all, Zhang Beixing hasn’t arrived, and she can’t just conjure him out of thin air.

Lin Siqi was about to chat with Chen Rourou.

Just then.

”Department of Economic Management, Lin Siqi.”

The teacher’s voice came from the stage.

Hearing this, the words on Lin Siqi’s lips were swallowed back, and she stood up and walked to the stage.

She took the graduation certificate from the principal’s hand.

Then.

”Department of Economic Management, Zheng Jituo.”

”Department of Economic Management, Jin Linyu.”

”Department of Economic Management, Dong Guoning.”

”Department of Economic Management, Zhang Beixing!”

As the last name was called out.

In an instant, everyone’s attention was drawn.

After all, he is the legendary figure of their Shi University.

Now that he’s graduating, everyone wants to see him one last time.

However.

People looked around for a while but couldn’t find that familiar figure.

The teacher was still calling on stage:

”Department of Economic Management, Zhang Beixing.”

”Mr. Zhang Beixing from the Department of Economic Management isn’t here?”

She was ready to move on temporarily and call the next person.

But just then.

”Present!”

A male voice came from outside the door.

Accompanying this figure was the sound of horse hooves clattering.

Upon hearing it, people looked over.

And saw at that moment.

A man dressed in a white robe, with long black hair tied back and draped over his shoulders, was riding a horse and slowly walked into the gymnasium.

His face bore a calm, gentle smile as he glanced around the crowd, finally resting his gaze on the teacher and principal on stage:

”Sorry, there was traffic on the way, and I am late.”

”Department of Economic Management, Zhang Beixing, present!”
