Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Zhang Beixing smiled faintly. ”Very well, since no one has any further questions, this matter is settled. After this, I will draft a plan based on today’s discussions. The specific operational procedures and implementation details will be announced at a later date. Regarding the matter of strength enhancement, you can first register with the Asian Martial Arts Association. I will then personally oversee your improvements at the appropriate time. Once all preparations are complete, we will formally commence our operation.

”And with that, I declare this meeting successfully concluded. Everyone, please proceed to the side hall. You’ve all had long journeys and must be tired and hungry. I’ve arranged a sumptuous banquet for you. Please, enjoy yourselves.”

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

As Zhang Beixing finished speaking, a dense wave of applause instantly filled the hall.

And amid this applause, he stepped down from the stage with Huo Honghao.

”You lot, go and maintain order first,” Huo Honghao instructed the guardsmen beside him. ”Ensure these Martial Artists proceed to the side hall for the meal in an orderly fashion. I need to speak with Brother Zhang.”

The guardsmen acknowledged in unison and hurried off to maintain order.

Once all uninvolved personnel had departed, only Zhang Beixing and Huo Honghao remained.

Huo Honghao took out a special-supply cigarette, put it to his lips, and offered one to Zhang Beixing. After lighting them and taking a deep drag, he looked at Zhang Beixing with a playful glint in his eyes and said, ”Brother Zhang, if my memory serves me right, when we initially discussed teaming up against the D&E Group, didn’t we just say we’d get them to cooperate? You, on the other hand, have gone and united them. I’m starting to think your next step is to bring them under your banner, then issue some bounties or a wanted list, and establish an illicit organization composed of Martial Artists. Is this the dragon slayer becoming the dragon?”

His little scheme had been seen through. Zhang Beixing showed no surprise; this was indeed his intention. The Martial Arts Association was merely an overt organization, subject to supervision and various constraints. But couldn’t Martial Artists also possess a force operating in the shadows? It could be understood as a Sect, or it could be understood as an organization. That didn’t matter! But if he could genuinely unite the Martial Artists of Asia, that power would be formidable! As for his purpose? It was actually quite simple: he aimed to lead the revival of martial arts, to once again ascend to the stage of history! Zhang Beixing, having now stepped into the Transcendent realm, possessed a rare ambition. He did not want the way of Martial Artists to be resigned to mediocrity! He wanted to achieve something for martial arts! Even in this modern age of advanced technology, Martial Artists should have their place! And to this end, he was using the overseas laboratory as a springboard—firstly, to resolve the crisis, and secondly, to unite the power of Martial Artists and reshape the martial path!

Taking a deep drag from his cigarette and gazing at the clouds drifting leftward with the wind, Zhang Beixing said, ”Brother Huo, you should know that sometimes, adhering to the rules isn’t enough to effectively solve problems. We always need something beyond the rules.

”Moreover…” Zhang Beixing turned to look at Huo Honghao. ”Brother Huo, do you really believe that after reaching this understanding with me, you still have a chance to extricate yourself from this matter?”

Hearing this, Huo Honghao looked unfazed. ”Why couldn’t I? You should know this is just a verbal agreement between us. Besides, what I agreed to was only this current matter. Anything exceeding this, I…”

Before he could finish, Zhang Beixing raised a hand to cut him off.

He pursed his lips slightly. ”Alright, alright, Brother Huo, no need for such words. I know what you’re thinking. Rest assured, I understand the situation perfectly.

”We Martial Artists are the ’lining’, while you, the military, are the ’public face’. The ’public face’ is responsible for looking bright and clean, untainted by any dust. We, the ’lining’, are responsible for the dirty work, the tough jobs. Whatever happens, we’ll handle it discreetly, ensuring no one can trace it back to our side. And we will absolutely never do anything detrimental to our nation’s interests or anything unconscionable.

”And you, of course, will also need to provide some assistance.

”Does that satisfy you?”

Huo Honghao didn’t speak. He merely gave Zhang Beixing a slight smile; everything was understood without needing words.

Zhang Beixing was right. The country indeed required such a force, one capable of influencing situations overseas! And this force would undoubtedly be their own people.
