Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Having learned that the conflict in the Middle East had escalated and the active crime groups there were about to officially clash with the Martial Artists, Zhang Beixing knew the time had come. He immediately rode the Kylin to the Shishi military district, boarded a plane, and headed for the Middle Eastern battlefield. He was determined to personally lead his team and settle the score with these people.

Meanwhile, in the Middle East, as time passed, the situation grew increasingly dire.

「In a temporarily constructed Martial Artist stronghold.」

”What do we do? Those criminals have shown their true colors and they’re dead set on us. If we go out now, forget about rescuing anyone—we’d be lucky to make it back in one piece ourselves! What on earth should we do?”

”What else can we do? Damn it! I told you all from the start to be cautious, *very* cautious! I warned you not to provoke them! Did any of you listen? No! Each of you, so confident in your skills, you didn’t even treat them like human beings! And look what happened! They’re furious now, calling for reinforcements and better weapons! You’re asking me what to do? I’d like to ask *you* the same thing!”

”What are you talking about? Were *you* so discreet when you went to rescue people? Stop acting like you’re Zhuge Liang with your hindsight wisdom! Let me tell you, you’re no better than the rest of us!”

”Damn you! You’re slandering my warrior’s dignity! Scoundrel! I challenge you to a duel!”

”Enough, you two! Cut it out! This is no time for such nonsense! Is there any point in arguing about who’s right or wrong? What we should be discussing right now is how to deal with *them*.”

”Brother Kim Tae-eun is right. The current situation is highly unfavorable for us. These criminals are on high alert, always armed and moving in groups. They’re also conducting a thorough search for us in this area. At this rate, it won’t be long before they find us!”

”So, what should we do? Confront them head-on? Most of us are only Level B Martial Artists. Even if Brother Kim Tae-eun is Level A, he’s still no match for bullets!”

At this statement, everyone present fell silent. With these criminal groups now getting serious, not only did their rescue mission face immense obstacles, but their own safety was also threatened.

”Maybe... we should retreat.”

”After all, we’ve already rescued many people. That should be enough.”

”We don’t need to fight them to the death...”

In the crowd, someone’s eyes flickered, clearly contemplating retreat.

However, before he could finish speaking—BAM! A heavy thud resounded from the table.

It was Kim Tae-eun, the only Pseudo Grandmaster present! His face dark, he glared at the person who had just spoken:

”We cannot retreat!

”Before today’s incident, haven’t we Martial Artists retreated enough?

”And how did they respond to our restraint? Kidnapping! Insults! Disdain!

”Haven’t you all had enough of this treatment?

”Now, someone is finally willing to stand up, to speak for us, to lead us in a counterattack! If we retreat again, we Martial Artists will never be able to hold our heads high in this world ever again!

”Do you want to see the current tragedies repeated for your children and grandchildren, for your disciples and their disciples?

”Where is your dignity? Where is your pride as Martial Artists?!”

Like an enraged lion, Kim Tae-eun’s voice thundered. His eyes, like sharp blades, swept across the faces of everyone present. The person who had suggested retreating flinched as if stung, their face flushing crimson with shame. Everyone else lowered their heads, not daring to meet his piercing gaze.

Seeing this, Kim Tae-eun snorted coldly, sat back down, and said nothing more. After all, in this matter, he had done all he could. If these people were truly set on retreating, on leaving, he wouldn’t stop them; nor could he. He knew that the strength of Martial Artists was currently waning, so the appearance of deserters was only to be expected. But he couldn’t let everyone flee. If they did, what would be left to fight for? What talk could there be of a Martial Artist resurgence? They might as well all go home and raise pigs!

For a moment, an oppressive silence enveloped the room. A short while later, someone finally looked at Kim Tae-eun and ventured,

”But, Brother Kim, if we don’t leave, what’s our next step? They have guns, and we don’t. We can’t be expected to block bullets with our bodies, can we?”

His words resonated with everyone in the room. They were all Martial Artists, all people of mettle. If there were any other way, none of them wanted to leave this place so dejectedly. But alas, it seemed to be their only path to survival. They couldn’t possibly expect to withstand bullets with their physical bodies. Not everyone was Zhang Beixing, who could take a bullet and live. A single hit would leave a gaping, bloody hole in any of them. Even if they were fortunate enough to survive such a wound, they would be too incapacitated to continue fighting.

Kim Tae-eun, of course, understood this. He furrowed his brow, deeply contemplating a solution.

Just then—RING-A-LING! The urgent ringtone of a cell phone suddenly shattered the quiet of the room, sounding particularly jarring.

Kim Tae-eun’s thoughts were interrupted. He pulled out his cell phone, and his eyebrows shot up instantly as he looked at the caller ID. It wasn’t just anyone calling; it was a staff member from the Asian Martial Association.

”Hello? This is Kim Tae-eun. Is there a problem?” he asked, answering the phone.

It was unclear what exactly the person on the other end of the line said. Kim Tae-eun’s expression, however, was a spectacle: first startled, then shocked, then incredulous, and finally, overwhelmingly joyful—a rapid transformation worthy of a Sichuan opera master.
