Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Because of the caste system, the upper-castes never regarded those of the lower castes as human. The lowly martial artists were exactly those Vaisyas and Shudras who lacked connections and power—the marginal figures of society. This made their kidnappings almost effortless, with virtually no qualms. In just a few days, they had already abducted nearly a hundred people—more than the total from all other Asian countries combined!

This quantitative change led to a qualitative transformation, allowing them to catch the eye of the D&E Group. They also received a quota from the D&E Group: as long as they kidnapped the required number of people within the set time, they would be promoted and receive a raise. The thought that they would soon become formal employees of the D&E Group, no longer having to live so precariously with their lives on the line each day, made the two men yearn for it.

The tattooed man finished his cigarette in one drag and urged, ”Enough chit-chat. Hurry up and take him away. If we don’t leave now, it’ll be troublesome once people start gathering around.”

Hearing this, his companion nodded, bent down, and grabbed the Vaisya martial artist’s legs, preparing to drag him away. But just then, an unexpected change occurred.

THUD, THUD, THUD— Chaotic footsteps came from outside the door, growing nearer.

At the sound, the tattooed man and his companion sensed something was amiss and quickly went to peek out of the dilapidated window. They saw a man dressed in lavish clothes, with a red bindi on his forehead, walking over arrogantly. He glanced around with undisguised contempt, then turned to the scrawny old man who had led him there. ”Outcast,” he said haughtily, ”are you sure this is the place?”

”Yes, yes, respected Shudra Lord!” the scrawny old man replied hastily, his face a mask of fear. ”I saw with my own eyes the two men you’re looking for enter this house, and they haven’t come out yet.”

The man acknowledged, ”Good. You’re useless now. Get lost!” Then he glanced at the burly men behind him. ”All of you, go. Bring me their heads.”

”Yes, sir!” the burly men responded in unison, then drew their guns. Under the bewildered gaze of the tattooed man and his accomplice, they kicked open the door to their room and, without a word, pulled their triggers.

In an instant, terrifying gunfire erupted. The already teetering, dilapidated wooden house collapsed under the barrage of bullets, and the tattooed man and his accomplice inevitably died within.

Taking two bloody heads from the hands of a bodyguard, the proud Shudra man nodded in satisfaction. He then took out his cellphone and scrolled down to look at the next task. After confirming the location, he left with his bodyguards without looking back.

Incidents like this were now commonplace in various Asian countries.

After Zhang Beixing perfected the operation plan, the martial artists sprang into action, unleashing a frenzy of missions and revenge! Among them, wealthy and powerful individuals like the Shudra man simply steamrolled their targets upon receiving missions. Those who lacked wealth and power but possessed strength carried out assassinations quietly. Martial artists who had neither wealth, power, nor overwhelming strength of their own latched onto the first two groups, providing intelligence, assistance, and scavenging whatever scraps they could.

According to incomplete statistics, in just three days after Zhang Beixing issued the tasks, D&E personnel scattered across various countries had suffered over a hundred casualties! Even a criminal organization affiliated with the D&E Group was completely dismantled, and more than a dozen kidnapped martial artists were rescued from them. This was the handiwork of the martial artists!

Once this news broke, it instantly sparked a small-scale discussion worldwide. People were surprised; they hadn’t expected this group of supposedly obsolete martial artists to demonstrate such cohesion.

”But... this is just their final flicker before death. They’re just a bunch of martial artists. No matter how strong their cohesion is, what does it matter? In the face of absolute firepower, they are all ants—nothing to be afraid of.”

”Deploy more personnel and suppress them!” A command was issued from the D&E Group headquarters in Fog City.

Instantly, the colossus backed by the One-Winged Bald Eagle leaped into action. More and more criminal groups became involved under their orders, and the battle with the martial artists intensified.

Meanwhile, Zhang Beixing, the mastermind behind this great battle, was busy dealing with graduation matters.

「June 10, 2019, Monday.」

As Zhang Beixing walked out of the classroom, reflecting on the incredibly easy thesis defense he had just experienced, he couldn’t help but marvel at the advantages of having status. In his previous life, his thesis defense had been an earth-shattering argument with the professors. It had taken a Herculean effort, leaving his mouth dry from endless explanations, before he barely managed to pass. In stark contrast, in this life, after he entered, they merely asked him a few simple questions before approving his thesis.

How times have changed!

With a sigh, Zhang Beixing shook his head, dismissing the matter. He returned to his dormitory to find Zheng Jituo and the others sitting there, playing cards. Dong Guoning was the ’landlord,’ and the game was intense. Zheng Jituo and Jin Linyu both had scattered cards but held the Big Joker. Dong Guoning, on the other hand, only had the Little Joker left in his hand, with a bomb already played out before him.

Seeing this, Zhang Beixing casually commented, ”Lao Dong is losing, huh!” He was about to move aside to tidy up his things.

Hearing this, Dong Guoning shook his head, indicating that Zhang Beixing was mistaken. ”Losing? Not necessarily. I still have an ace up my sleeve!”

”Oh?” Zhang Beixing paused, slightly taken aback, and looked on with puzzlement.

He then saw Dong Guoning, after making that statement, reach into his pocket. After fumbling for a moment, Dong Guoning slammed the Little Joker onto the pile of cards with a heavy toss, exclaiming loudly, ”Joker Bomb!”

Upon hearing this, everyone present was stunned. Zheng Jituo was about to curse, ”Are you that desperate to win? That’s hardly a Joker Bomb!”

But Dong Guoning, as if anticipating this, flashed a smug, ’Dragon King’ smirk. He pressed his hand on the Little Joker and, with a light flick, moved it aside. Suddenly, Dong Guoning’s ID card was in plain view beneath it!

This move left everyone utterly shocked! Including Zhang Beixing, they all stared at Dong Guoning, speechless.

Seeing their reactions, Dong Guoning laughed proudly. He pushed up his glasses and declared with an air of smug superiority, ”The highest realm of strategy is for the strategist to become part of the game himself! With this Joker Bomb of mine, I ask you, who else can compete?!”

No one in Dormitory 203 responded. Only after a moment did Zhang Beixing recover, looking at Dong Guoning. He silently gave him a thumbs-up, the ultimate male endorsement. ”You’re awesome!”

”Indeed!” Zheng Jituo affirmed. He admitted he couldn’t beat that ’hand’; it wasn’t as if he could rush off to get a photocopy of his own ID to counter Dong Guoning. It was just a card game, hardly worth going to such lengths!

As Jin Linyu gathered the playing cards, he remembered that their thesis defenses were starting today. ”Lao Zhang,” he asked Zhang Beixing, ”is your defense already over?”

Zhang Beixing nodded. ”Yeah, it’s over. It was pretty simple, a piece of cake really.”

”That’s good. I’ll give mine a try in a bit,” Jin Linyu said, then followed up, ”Speaking of which, what are you planning to do after graduation? Continue your martial arts training?”

Zhang Beixing thought for a moment. ”Pretty much. Martial arts training is basically my job now. What about you guys? What are your plans after graduation?”

”What else? Find a job, of course,” Jin Linyu said. ”Thanks to you, I was recently recruited by a state-owned enterprise. They want me to go into management.”

”I’m planning to open a restaurant,” Zheng Jituo said with a laugh.

”I... I haven’t decided yet,” Dong Guoning said hesitantly. ”I might go for postgraduate studies or try for the civil service exams.”

Hearing this, Zhang Beixing understood. ”Alright, it’s good that you all have plans. If you ever need anything, just contact me, your bro. The Asian Martial Arts Association and the Great Xia Martial Arts Association still have some positions. I trust you three, so I can guarantee I’ll arrange good posts for you.”

”Awesome! Then we’ll be counting on you, Godfather!” the three of them said with a laugh. Then, they picked up their theses and went out for their defenses.

Soon, Zhang Beixing was the only one left in the dormitory. Just then, his phone rang.

”Daddy, your son is calling. Daddy, your son...”

Hearing the distinctive ringtone, Zhang Beixing glanced at his phone. The caller was Huo Honghao, the commander of their Shishi Military Region.

He answered the call. Huo Honghao’s voice came through, urgent, ”Beixing, the situation overseas... it’s getting out of control!”
