Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1943 - 1726: War 8

From the ruined alleys and shattered homes, figures began to step into the dim light.

Clad in tarnished armor and draped in the remnants of their once-proud military uniforms, they marched forward with unnatural precision. Their movements were stiff, mechanical—but there was no mistaking who they once were.

Wolfgang soldiers.

Only now, they werenʼt alive.

Their eyes glowed with eerie violet light, hollow and devoid of humanity. Their weapons—rusted swords, broken spears, and splintered shields—were still gripped in death-stiffened hands.

And behind them… more came. Dozens. Hundreds.

Sera clicked her tongue. ”Tch. Necromancy?”

Eris didnʼt answer. She was staring at them, her grip on her sword tightening.

These werenʼt just fallen warriors.

They were her people.

And someone—something—had turned them into this.

Her chest burned with anger, cold and sharp as the winter winds she wielded.

”This is unforgivable.”

Sera watched her for a moment before speaking. ”You know what needs to be done.”

Eris closed her eyes, exhaling slowly.

”…Yes.”

And then—

The battle began.

WHOOSH!

Before the undead soldiers could react, Eris vanished in a blur.

She reappeared amidst them, her sword a streak of silver light.

SLASH!

A dozen undead were cut down in an instant. Their bodies crumbled like dry leaves in the wind, the cursed energy animating them ripped away by her power.

Eris didnʼt stop.

She spun, her blade tracing intricate arcs through the air.

Every swing was precise. Every step was calculated.

For these were not just enemies.

They were her fallen kin.

And she would grant them mercy.

”Wind Domain: Howling Tempest!”

A massive gale erupted from her, the winds screaming as they surged forward.

The undead soldiers were lifted into the air, their bodies torn apart by the razor-sharp currents.

Yet, more came.

A towering knight, its body covered in jagged obsidian armor, raised its rusted greatsword—

BOOM!

Before it could strike, a shadow flashed behind it.

Sera materialized from the darkness, a pair of curved daggers gleaming in her hands.

SHNK!

One dagger slashed across the knightʼs spine, while the other pierced through the back of its skull.

The massive undead lurched—then collapsed.

Sera landed softly, already vanishing into the shadows once more.

Her voice was barely above a whisper.

”One down.”

Then, the air changed.

Eris and Sera both felt it—

A heavy, crushing presence.

And then—

BOOM.

The ground shook as something massive approached.

From the darkness of the ruined city, a figure strode forward.

Clad in jagged, blackened armor, its massive frame exuded an aura of pure malice.

The moment Eris laid eyes on it, she knew.

This was no ordinary undead.

It was a Revenant Warlord—a fallen general, bound by a powerful curse, fueled by hatred and bloodshed.

Its hollow eyes locked onto her, and for the first time, the silence was broken.

A voice, distorted and filled with ancient rage, echoed through the air—

”Wind… Wolves…”

Erisʼ heart clenched.

This thing—who had it been?

Before she could ask, the Revenant moved.

BOOM!

It vanished in a blur of black mist, reappearing directly in front of her.

And then—

It swung its massive blade.

Eris barely had time to react.

CLANG!

The force of the Revenant Warlordʼs strike sent her skidding backward, her boots tearing trenches into the cracked stone road. The sheer power behind its swing was monstrous, far beyond what any ordinary undead should possess.

She tightened her grip on her sword, her mind racing.

This thing had once been a warrior—a powerful one.

And now, it was a monster bound by some vile force.

The Revenant lifted its blade again, its hollow voice reverberating through the empty city.

”Wind Wolves… Betrayers…”

Erisʼ eyes narrowed.

”Betrayers?”

She didnʼt have time to think.

BOOM!

The Revenant charged, its massive form blurring with unnatural speed.

But this time, Eris was ready.

”Wind Step.”

The air around her howled as she disappeared just before the Revenantʼs sword could connect.

She reappeared behind it, her blade flashing—

SLASH!

Her sword bit into its side, slicing through rusted armor and cursed flesh alike.

Black ichor sprayed from the wound, but the Revenant didnʼt falter.

Instead, it twisted unnaturally, swinging its blade in a wild, unpredictable arc.

Eris barely managed to evade, flipping backward as the blade shattered the ground where she had stood.

She landed gracefully, her eyes glowing.

”Youʼre strong,” she admitted, breath steady.

”But not strong enough.”

The wind howled in response, gathering around her like a storm ready to be unleashed.

While Eris kept the Revenant occupied, Sera vanished.

Her form melted into the shadows, becoming one with the darkness.

Her honey-colored eyes flickered as she studied the battlefield.

The Revenant was an abomination, but even monsters had weaknesses.

And she had already found it.

The chain.

A thick, rusted black chain was embedded in the Revenantʼs back, pulsing with dark energy.

It was a curse binding, the source of its unnatural strength.

If she could sever it—

The fight would be over.

Moving like a whisper, she positioned herself behind the creature.

Eris kept its attention locked onto her, clashing blade for blade against its relentless assault.

Then—

A single moment of weakness.

The Revenant overextended, swinging too wide.

And in that instant—

Sera struck.

”Silent Requiem: Hands of Death!”

She reappeared in a burst of speed, her twin daggers gleaming with shadow magic.

SLASH!

Her blades severed the cursed chain in a single, perfect cut.

The effect was instantaneous.

The Revenant staggered, its entire body shuddering as the dark energy binding it was violently disrupted.

Its hollow roar turned into a distorted scream, its power crumbling.

Eris didnʼt waste the opening.

She lunged.

”Wind Domain: Severing Gale!”

A massive arc of wind-infused steel cleaved through the Revenantʼs torso.

For a brief moment, it stood still.

Then—

BOOOOM!

Its massive form collapsed, black mist erupting from its body before fading into nothingness.

Silence fell over the ruined city.

Then, Sera sighed, sheathing her daggers.

”That was annoying.”

Eris exhaled, brushing a stray lock of white hair behind her ear.

”Weʼre not done yet.”

Sera raised an eyebrow. ”Oh?”

Eris turned toward the dark depths of the city.

Something else was waiting for them.

Something far worse.

And she could feel it calling.

”Letʼs keep going.”

Without hesitation, they pressed forward—

Deeper into the empire.
