Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1926 - 1710: Silent Hunt in the Shadows

As a pale moon hung high over Freya Academy, Maria walked through the dimly lit corridors, her presence blending seamlessly into the student crowd.

Dressed in a simple academy uniform—a navy-blue coat over a white shirt and pleated skirt—she looked no different from any other student. But beneath that unassuming facade, the Ice Empress lurked in the shadows, hunting the remnants of the Chaos Organization.

After extracting crucial information from the assassin, she knew one thing for certain—a large-scale attack was imminent.

Eliminating every infiltrator before the attack was impossible, but if she could thin their numbers, she could cripple their plans before they even began.

After ensuring Elias was safely resting, Maria spread her divine sense across the academy grounds, scanning for any traces of chaos energy.

Immediately, she felt it.

Like ink bleeding through clear water, sinister energy pulses radiated through the night, hidden within the academyʼs walls.

”Found you.”

With silent steps, Maria moved, her disguise keeping her unnoticed as she followed the trail of darkness.

The first group lurked beneath the eastern study hall, a hidden chamber disguised as an abandoned storage room.

Maria infiltrated effortlessly, her presence concealed by an aura of absolute stillness.

Inside, five figures cloaked in black robes whispered amongst themselves. A small crystal orb pulsed in their hands, transmitting encrypted messages.

”The preparations are almost complete—”

They never got to finish.

Schlick—!

A razor-thin ice dagger sliced one of their throats before he could react.

The others spun around, panic flashing in their eyes.

”An intru—”

Crack!

The entire room froze over in an instant, their bodies encased in thick ice before a single sound could escape.

Mariaʼs cold gaze swept across the frozen assassins. With a flick of her wrist, the ice shattered, reducing them to nothing more than glittering shards on the floor.

”One nest down,” she murmured before vanishing into the shadows.

The next group hid within the alchemy department, preparing to poison the academyʼs main water supply.

Maria entered just as one of them poured a dark, viscous liquid into a brewing cauldron.

The moment she stepped inside, the temperature in the room plunged.

”Wh—?”

Before they could move—

Icicle spears erupted from the ground, impaling the three figures through their hearts.

Their blood barely had time to spill before it froze in midair, turning into fragile red crystals that shattered on impact.

Maria barely spared them a glance before melting the poisoned concoction with a flick of her fingers.

The final group had gathered in a secluded courtyard, their robes stained with blood, forming a ritual circle pulsing with dark energy.

Maria perched atop a nearby rooftop, watching as eight figures chanted in hushed voices, their hands raised toward the sky.

A summoning ritual.

She could feel it—the chaos energy thick in the air, trying to summon something from beyond.

Not happening.

Maria raised a single hand.

A chilling gust of wind swept through the courtyard.

Before the cultists even noticed, their bodies froze solid, their chanting silenced mid-syllable.

Then—

Crack.

The ice fractured.

In the next second, the entire group shattered into dust, leaving no trace behind.

The summoning circle flickered, its power source cut off, before it too collapsed into nothingness.

Maria exhaled, lowering her hand.

”Three groups eliminated in one night. Not bad.”

But she wasnʼt satisfied yet.

This was only the beginning.

With one last glance at the academy, she vanished into the night—the silent hunter in the shadows, continuing her mission.

•••••

Thousands of kilometers away, deep within the heart of an ancient dungeon, a battle of unimaginable scale raged.

A colossal titan, its body made of darkened stone and pulsing magma veins, stood tall like a living mountain. Golden runes flickered across its massive frame, each pulse sending shockwaves through the dungeon.

Before this monster stood two figures.

The first was a woman whose white hair cascaded like silk down her back, her icy blue eyes colder than the arctic winds. She radiated an aura of absolute frost, her crystalline wings spreading behind her like a celestial being descending to judgment.

Freya, the Ice Sovereign.

Her opponent was not just any titan.

This was an Emperor-grade beast, a monster of such catastrophic power that, if left unchecked, it could shatter the balance of the world.

The second figure was a towering man built of pure muscle, clad in radiant white armor that shimmered like the sun itself. A massive war hammer crackling with holy energy rested in his grip, and his golden shield shone with an unbreakable light.

He and Freya had ventured into this dungeon for one reason.

To ensure this beast never escaped.

”We donʼt have much time, Maximus. If this thing breaks free, it could reduce entire kingdoms to rubble.”

Freyaʼs voice was as cold as her magic, but there was an urgency in her tone.

Maximus chuckled, cracking his neck. ”Then letʼs not waste time talking!”

With a single step, the dungeon floor shattered beneath him as he charged forward, his entire body glowing with golden light.

BOOM!

His war hammer slammed into the titanʼs shin, sending a shockwave rippling through the dungeon. The sheer force cracked the air, but the titan barely flinched.

Instead, it roared, its deep voice shaking the entire cavern.

GRRRAAAAAHHHH!

It lifted one massive foot and stomped downward, aiming to crush Maximus like an insect.

”Tch!”

The Holy Paladin raised his shield, and a golden barrier expanded from it just as the titanʼs foot collided.

BOOOOM!

The entire dungeon trembled, but he held firm, the ground beneath him sinking into a crater.

”Time to end this.”

Above, Freya hovered mid-air, her crystal wings glimmering as she raised her delicate hands. A storm of ice gathered around her, a vortex of snow and frost so cold that even the air itself cracked.

The temperature in the dungeon plummeted instantly.

With a soft breath, she uttered a single command:

”Absolute Zero!”

Freyaʼs voice rang out like a whisper of death.

In an instant—

The entire dungeonʼs temperature plummeted.

The air itself froze solid, tiny white cracks appearing in the atmosphere. A vortex of pure white frost gathered around Freya, expanding outward in a spiral of death.

The Titan roared in defiance, trying to resist—

But it was too late.

A storm of ice and snow consumed it whole, burying it beneath a glacier of divine frost.

The once-molten veins darkened. Its golden eyes dimmed.

The Titan froze solid.

Lunaʼs master grinned, lifting his hammer.

”My turn.”

With a battle cry, he leaped high into the air, his war hammer radiating golden energy.

”HOLY SMITE!”

CRAAAAAAAAACK!

The hammer struck the frozen Titanʼs skull, and in an instant—

BOOOOOOOM!

The entire being shattered, crumbling into a million frozen shards. The dungeon trembled as the pieces rained down, but the battle was already over.

He landed with a satisfied chuckle, swinging his hammer onto his shoulder.

”Well, that was fun.”

Freya, still floating midair, merely closed her eyes, her frosty aura slowly dissipating.

”One less catastrophe to worry about.”

But deep inside, she knew—

This was only the beginning. Hopefully nothing major mustnʼt happen in the academy before her return.
