Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1924 - 1708: Freya’s Academy under Attack 1

The once-proud Freya Academy, a beacon of knowledge and power, was now drowning in a state of unease and paranoia.

It had started with whispers. Rumors of missing students. At first, they were dismissed as isolated incidents—runaways, accidents, or students getting caught up in dangerous magical experiments. But soon, the numbers grew. One missing student became five. Then ten. Then twenty.

By now, nearly fifty students had vanished without a trace, and panic had begun to settle into the hearts of those who remained.

The academyʼs grand halls, once filled with vibrant discussions and youthful laughter, had turned eerily silent. Students walked in hushed voices, eyes constantly darting over their shoulders. Many refused to travel alone, forming small groups for safety.

The professors did their best to maintain order, but without Headmistress Freya, their authority felt fragile. She had left on an important mission and hadnʼt returned. In her absence, the council of teachers argued endlessly on what to do—some wanted to lock down the academy, while others insisted on continuing as normal to avoid spreading further fear.

But the terror attacks made it impossible to ignore the growing threat.

The Chaos Organization, a radical faction that thrived in disorder, had infiltrated the academy. Their presence was subtle at first, hidden in the shadows. But as time passed, their actions became bolder.

Bombings. Assassinations. Sudden, violent outbursts.

One week ago, the Alchemy Departmentʼs research lab was blown apart in a mysterious explosion, killing three professors and injuring over a dozen students. The attack had left a crater in the middle of the courtyard, and despite multiple investigations, the culprit had yet to be found.

Three days ago, a student was found hanging from the Academy Bell Tower, his body marked with strange runes that glowed with ominous energy. His identity had been erased, as if he had never existed.

Yesterday, the cafeteria was attacked during lunch hour. A masked figure had walked in, placed an artifact on the floor, and vanished before anyone could react. Moments later, the artifact detonated in a pulse of dark energy, leaving dozens unconscious, their bodies frozen in time, trapped between reality and oblivion.

The schoolʼs barriers—once thought impenetrable—were failing.

No one felt safe anymore.

The elite student guards, once confident in their abilities, now patrolled the academy grounds with haunted expressions, their hands always on their weapons, their spells ready to be cast at a momentʼs notice.

Even the strongest students, the ones who once dueled for glory and honor, now avoided combat. They knew—this wasnʼt a normal battle. The enemy was unseen, lurking in the shadows, striking when least expected.

Paranoia spread like wildfire.

Some students accused their classmates of being spies, leading to fights and mistrust. Others refused to leave their dorms, casting protective spells on their doors and skipping classes altogether.

The once-great dueling arenas were empty. The grand library, usually overflowing with knowledge-hungry scholars, had become a ghost town. Even the infamous Student Market, where young mages bartered rare spell books and enchanted trinkets, had been abandoned.

It felt like a war zone.

And yet, the worst was yet to come.

Because hidden in the depths of the academy, the Chaos Organizationʼs true plan was nearing completion.

They hadnʼt just come to cause mayhem.

They had come to break Freya Academy from the inside.

Elias wiped the blood from his lips, his injured arm throbbing with pain. His body was covered in wounds, his cloak torn from the last explosion that nearly killed him. He had barely escaped with his life, and even now, the metallic scent of ash and burnt flesh lingered in the air.

The enemy was relentless. The Chaos Organization wasnʼt just infiltrating the academy; they were tearing it apart from within.

Elias had faced spies, assassins, and suicide bombers, all willing to die for their cause. The last one—a crazed zealot—had detonated a curse bomb, nearly killing him. His body still felt the lingering effects of the black flames that had scorched his skin, refusing to heal completely.

Despite everything, he fought on.

His shadows surged around him, weaving through the air like living serpents, lashing out at any assassin foolish enough to approach. His dagger—black as midnight—flashed as he silenced another spy before they could trigger another explosion.

But it wasnʼt enough.

For every enemy he cut down, two more appeared.

His instincts screamed at him—something big was coming.

Elias knew he was running out of time. If he didnʼt get reinforcements soon, the academy would fall.

Thatʼs when he felt it.

A cold, overwhelming presence.

Maria had arrived.

The temperature in the air plummeted.

Frost spread across the academy courtyard, and the burning ruins from the recent explosions were instantly extinguished, replaced by a layer of glistening ice.

The once-chaotic battlefield turned silent as a single figure descended from the sky.

Maria—The Ice Empress.

Her long silver hair billowed behind her as she stepped forward, her piercing blue eyes scanning the battlefield. A storm of ice and snow followed her, each step leaving behind a trail of frozen mist. (A/N: Silver hair because she was in her Ice Goddess mode in the case youʼre wondering.)

The Chaos followers hesitated.

They had heard of her. Previously they thought she had sealed herself with that monster, to keep it at bay, no information of her arrival had been heard. This information must be shared to the higher up within the organization they thought but unfortunately for them it would be impossible. Maria was so naive to let this happen.

The woman who had frozen entire armies, the one whose very presence could turn the tide of war.

Maria barely spared them a glance. With a single flick of her wrist, the battlefield turned into an icy wasteland.

”Youʼre late mistress,” Elias muttered, struggling to stand.

Maria sighed. ”And you look terrible. But donʼt worry…”

She raised her hand, and an avalanche of frozen spears rained down upon their enemies, impaling them in an instant.

”…Iʼll clean this mess up.”

The Outside World wasnʼt peaceful at all– The War Spreading here and there.

While the battle at Freya Academy raged on, the world itself was in turmoil.

The war had officially begun.

Monster waves were attacking cities, forcing kingdoms to mobilize their armies.

Assassinations and betrayals were happening in the human empire, throwing the political landscape into chaos.

The Demon Realm was preparing its own forces, watching the chaos unfold.

Neutral factions were being forced to pick sides.

The world was unraveling.

And amidst it all, Alex continued his mission.

Each dungeon he cleared, each powerful monster he slew—he added them to his Shadow Army.

By the time he returned, he wouldnʼt be the same man who had left.

He would be stronger.

And he would be ready.
