Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Brooke Osborne, fueled by a surge of anger in her chest, rushed to the couple embracing in front of her. Clenching her fists and trembling all over, she stammered, ”Gregory... Gregory Quinn, what do you mean by this?!”

Gregory Quinn turned to see Brooke Osborne and a hint of panic flashed in his eyes.

But he quickly calmed down. Out of the corner of his eye, he had just glimpsed Brooke Osborne’s figure, seemingly getting out of that Grand Cherokee earlier.

How does she still have money to buy such a luxury car? — Could it be that she dares to hide personal assets?

Gregory Quinn squinted slightly, quickly realizing the situation, and pulled the girl in his arms behind him. He frowned and said displeasedly, ”Brooke? What are you doing here? It’s so late, what are you doing at this place?”

He soothingly patted the woman behind him on the shoulder.

Brooke Osborne was almost exploding with anger at his tone, but being accustomed to following the rules, she couldn’t bring herself to shout at a man in public and only asked in a restrained, angry voice, ”You ask me? Didn’t you know I was coming to pick up my brother?!”

”Aren’t you going to explain why you’re hugging a woman, who means nothing to you, in front of everyone?!”

”Me? Are you talking about me?!” Gregory Quinn pointed an astonished finger at his own nose, ”You’re accusing me?!”

He seemed even more upset than Brooke Osborne, pulling the girl out from behind and furiously pointing at the Grand Cherokee, ”Brooke Osborne, take a good look! She is my sister! She was almost hit by that car just now!”

After speaking, he seemed to recall something, looking surprised, ”Huh? Weren’t you the one who came from that car just now?!”

”Oh my God! Was it you driving? You must not have done it on purpose, right?!”

”Do you just want to cause trouble for me because you can’t stand seeing me well?!”

As Gregory Quinn spoke, he became more and more enraged. He flung the girl clinging to his side away and walked step by step towards Brooke Osborne, his face twisted, surprisingly getting the upper hand.

Brooke Osborne was so intimidated that she stepped back continuously, stammering, ”...She... she’s your sister? Gregory, I thought you were an only child? Since when did you have a sister I didn’t know about?”

”Can’t I have a god-sister, Brooke? You aren’t usually this narrow-minded, are you? Where did all your empathy go?” Gregory Quinn glanced at the Grand Cherokee, his heart racing.

He walked over to Brooke Osborne, his expression gradually calming down: ”Are you still worried that I won’t want you?”

Seeing Gregory Quinn’s face return to normal, Brooke Osborne finally stopped retreating and stood still.

Gregory Quinn took the opportunity to grab her hand, smoothing her hair, smiling, ”Brooke, we’ve been together for seven years, got our certificate, and bought a house. Don’t you think I know what kind of person you are? — I know you wouldn’t do something like that, right?”

”You wouldn’t have deliberately tried to hit Grace, would you?”

Brooke Osborne, having been ”trained” by him, almost reacted instinctively, shaking her head quickly, ”No, no! Why would I deliberately hit her with my car? Besides, if you hadn’t appeared, I wouldn’t even know who she was.”

”That’s good then.” Gregory Quinn breathed a sigh of relief, glancing again at the Grand Cherokee.

Yes, definitely imported, a good Jeep brand, Grand Cherokee, not much different from the Range Rovers favored by wealthy middle-aged men here, and more stylish.

You can’t look at the fuel consumption, ordinary wage earners simply can’t afford it, much better than his 30,000 dollar commuter car.

The car’s window glass was a dark amber color, giving it a classy look, while also preventing Gregory Quinn from seeing if anyone else was inside.

He mistakenly assumed that this was Brooke Osborne’s car.

Brooke Osborne had no idea what Gregory Quinn was thinking, only focusing on explaining that the incident was an accident, forgetting the original reason she came to discuss things with Gregory Quinn.

Gregory Quinn satisfactorily patted Brooke Osborne on the cheek, saying, ”If you say it was an accident, then it was an accident. See how much face I give you in front of others.”

Saying this, he simply pulled the girl from behind and said to Brooke Osborne, ”Brooke, this is my sister, my god-sister Grace Day. She came to River City today and will be staying at my house, spending the New Year with my parents.”

Brooke Osborne glanced at the girl, who was indeed quite delicate-looking, wearing a bulky beige down jacket. Her skin was fairer, much fairer than Brooke Osborne’s, and while her features weren’t as captivating as Brooke’s, she was younger.

Brooke Osborne had started dating Gregory Quinn right after graduating from college seven years ago, now she was twenty-nine.

The girl seemed at most twenty.

Brooke’s eyes flickered, and she softly asked, ”...Are you Grace Day? How old are you this year? How did you become a god-sister to Gregory?”
