Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

The girl’s breath was taken away by that glance, making her restless in the car.

She quickly pushed open the car door and got out, tugging at her father’s sleeve, whispering, ”Dad, it’s our fault, we rear-ended them, let’s not make it difficult for them. Just give him the insurance... exchange information, let the insurance company handle it, and we’ll cover it all.”

Her father, feeling quite stressed, said, ”...”

The girl continued to plead, ”Okay? Dad, it’s very late, and I want to go home. It’s not even that much money, even if we pay for everything, buying him... a new car for the sister is only a matter of tens of thousands...”

As she spoke, she continued to glance at Kenneth Osborne with her peripheral vision, the more she looked, the more her face blushed, her heart pounding like a little deer.

Her father took one look at his daughter and understood immediately.

He sighed inwardly, his tone much softer, and politely said, ”What’s your surname, sir? Here’s my business card and the insurance company’s contact information. You can contact them directly and say that I am fully responsible.”

Kenneth Osborne also bowed politely, saying, ”No need for formalities, my surname is Osborne. I’ll leave the car in your hands.” He didn’t agree to call the other party’s insurance company.

The nearby traffic officer had been mediating for a long time and was anxious to see signs of resolution, hurriedly saying, ”That’s great, it’s best for both parties to reconcile on their own. Repairing the car isn’t expensive, just be more careful when driving next time.”

Of course, the at-fault vehicle for the rear-end collision would be penalized. Although the father was reluctant, due to his daughter’s sudden ”turning sides,” he had no choice but to comply.

And indeed, it was very late now, and he was eager to go home.

Repairing the car would cost at most a few thousand yuan, which he didn’t care about; he was only concerned about losing points.

After negotiating with Kenneth Osborne, he called a repair company himself, asking them to come and tow the car for repair, while also paying a deposit.

Brooke Osborne’s car was parked there; the traffic officer would wait for the repair company to arrive and tow it, so neither party had to wait there any longer.

The responsible vehicle accepted the penalty, but since their car was of better quality, although Brooke Osborne’s car was hit badly and couldn’t be driven, their own car only had a tiny bit of paint scratched off the front bumper.

At this point, the family got into their car, and the daughter shyly poked her head out of the car window, asking Kenneth Osborne, ”Mr. Osborne, if there’s any problem, you can directly contact me. Here’s my WeChat.”

She blushed as she showed her WeChat QR code on her phone.

Kenneth Osborne took out his phone, swaying it slightly, with his phoenix eyes narrowing a bit, the corners of his lips curling into a pleased arc, ”Sure, no problem.”

After watching the car drive away, he walked back to Brooke Osborne and Lawrence Winters’ side.

The whole process took less than ten minutes.

Brooke Osborne was amazed, patting Kenneth Osborne on the shoulder, exclaiming, ”Kenneth, you’ve really grown up. Now you can help your sister handle these things.”

Kenneth Osborne amusingly shoved the phone back into Brooke’s hand, ”Sis, I’ll be 22 after the new year, do you still see me as a minor?”

He then added, ”I scanned that girl’s WeChat for you, if there’s any issue with the car, just contact her.”

Brooke nodded repeatedly, pointing at Lawrence Winters, saying, ”My car can’t be driven, just as we met Lawrence and her uncle, they’re also heading home, we can ride with them.”

Kenneth Osborne’s smile grew wider; he patted Lawrence lightly, ”Lawrence, did you foresee this mishap today and come specially to pick me up?”

Lawrence Winters brushed his hand away irritably, ”Don’t hit my head. —Who came to pick you up? Why do you love to flatter yourself so much?”

”I’m here doing business with my uncle, and coincidentally ran into sister Brooke.”

”Doing business?” Kenneth Osborne smiled, bringing the back of his hand to his lips, lightly coughing, ”Well, well, quite the prosperous business for the Little Heavenly Master...”

”Ah, nonsense!” Lawrence shook his little fist at him, unable to hold back a laugh himself, ”There’s not that much business! If there were, my uncle and I would have made a fortune by now and washed our hands of this!”

”Being too modest equals arrogance. Nora, you weren’t like this when you were little. Where did that narcissistic and wild spirit go?” Kenneth Osborne teased her with a smile, holding a suitcase in one hand, naturally grasping Lawrence’s hand in the other, and walking with her towards Nick Zeller’s Grand Cherokee.

The two families were neighbors, and Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne grew up together, practically childhood sweethearts.

Brooke Osborne was long accustomed to their bickering and dragging interaction.

She smiled, following behind them, and called home, ”Dad, Mom, I’ve picked up Kenneth, we’re heading home now. Yes, it’s fine. Although there was an accident, Kenneth was just out of the car, it’s fine, so don’t worry.”
