Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

The Wicked Eraser, evolve!

”Divine Evolution can raise the rank of a god!” the Wicked God shouted. ”And a god that has evolved gains 1000 Attack and Defense!”

[The Wicked Eraser, ATK 3000 → ATK 4000]

”Battle Phase!”

As the Wicked God declared entry into the Battle Phase, Yubel spoke solemnly, ”It’s coming, Jaden.”

”Yeah, I know,” Jaden responded, completely on guard.

The Wicked God: ”First, ’The Supreme Sun,’ attack ’Grinder Golem’!”

Although Grinder Golem had equal attack points to The Supreme Sun, its battle position was set by the Wicked God upon summoning. At this moment, Grinder Golem was in Defense Position, with only 300 Defense. Even if it was in Attack Position and perished together with The Supreme Sun, there would be no difference—The Supreme Sun would simply revive automatically next turn.

The Supreme Sun’s dark flames blasted forth, effortlessly piercing through Grinder Golem’s steel body, reducing it to ashes.

”And next, The Wicked Eraser attacks ’Elemental HERO Neos’!”

”Same attack points again? Are you going to trigger Eraser’s effect?” Jaden asked.

But the Wicked God only laughed.

”No. Now, I have evolved even further! The Wicked Eraser has gained a new power through Divine Evolution! When an evolved god attacks, the opponent must send one monster from their own field to the graveyard!”

Jaden × Yubel: ”!”

They were forced to choose a monster on their own field to send away.

At this moment, they had only Neos left on the field.

”That’s right. You have no choice but to send ’Elemental HERO Neos’ to the graveyard!” the Wicked God said. ”Be destroyed by the power of god, Neos!”

A tremendous vortex of darkness opened above Neos. As if pitch-black hands reached down, grabbing Neos’ arms, and, without mercy, pulled him into the darkness, as if he were consumed by the void.

Jaden gritted his teeth. ”But now, with both Grinder Golem and Neos leaving the field, I’m left with only one card: ’Neo Space.’ The Wicked Eraser’s attack points also drop!”

[The Wicked Eraser, ATK 4000 → ATK 2000]

The Wicked God’s attack raged forth, and the dark tide swept over Jaden. He staggered back two steps, gritting his teeth, black smoke rising from his body.

[Jaden, LP 4000 → LP 2000]

Yubel called out in worry, ”Jaden!”

”I’m okay.”

Jaden waved her off, forcing a smile.

”As expected of a Wicked God—the sensation is no joke. But…”

He straightened, and chuckled softly.

”What I’ve been entrusted with is not so fragile as to be destroyed so easily.”

Yubel’s expression was complicated. ”Jaden…”

”My turn. Draw.”

Jaden drew a card.

”I activate the Spell Card ’Legacy of a HERO.’ If there are at least three Level 4 or higher Elemental HEROes in my graveyard, I draw three cards from my deck!” (Anime effect)

He drew three more cards.

As he looked at the cards in hand, he was briefly lost in thought.

Staring at one card, he seemed to hear the voice of a just-fallen comrade echo in his ear.

”Step forward into the future, Jaden Yuki.”

”...”

After a moment, Jaden broke into a cheerful smile.

”So, you’re urging me on again.” He murmured, ”Don’t worry. The things I promised you—I’ll never forget.”

”Never.”

Yubel: ”Jaden, you…”

Jaden looked up, eyes still that proud, golden color, carrying the aura of a king.

”I activate the Spell Card ’E Emergency Call,’ adding any ’Elemental HERO’ from my deck to my hand. I add ’Elemental HERO Neos’ to my hand.”

A card glowing with golden light popped out of Jaden’s deck. He drew it.

”Next, I activate the Spell Card ’Fake HERO’ from my hand.” Jaden declared. ”’Fake HERO’ lets me Special Summon any ’Elemental HERO’ monster from my hand. But the monster summoned this way can’t attack, and returns to my hand at the end of the turn.

Appear, my soul!

Elemental HERO Neos!”

[Elemental HERO Neos, ATK 2500]

”So, you’ve brought back the Neos that was previously fused and returned to the deck? Looks like this is your most important monster,” the Wicked God sneered. ”But what can such a monster do at this point? Not to mention, it can’t attack and will return to your hand at the end of this turn.”

Jaden replied calmly, ”Of course, this turn is when I’ll end you.”

The Wicked God: ”NANI?!”

Jaden didn’t explain further. He solemnly drew another card from his hand.

”I discard a card to activate this card from my hand. The card entrusted to me by my best friend, the ultimate fusion card—

—Quick-Play Spell: ’Super Polymerization’!!!”

The instant the card was activated, the Wicked God’s entire domain trembled violently. Chaos itself seemed to churn, thunder and lightning exploding in midair, as a colossal black hole threatened to swallow all creation.

”What...is this power!?” the Wicked God’s abstract face twisted in horror. ”It’s that card again! Just what is it...!?”

”This card was entrusted to me by a friend who sacrificed everything for my future!” Jaden shouted.

”This bond can overcome anything, even the gods!

Super Polymerization can fuse any monsters on the field, no matter whose they belong to—mine, or my opponent’s.

I will fuse my ’Elemental HERO Neos’ with your ’The Wicked Eraser’!”

The Wicked God: ”!?!?”

What the hell?

You’re fusing me!?

I, a mighty Wicked God, and you dare...!?

Yet the impossible happened. Under Super Polymerization, all are equal—no one, not even gods, are spared. The dreadful gravity seized the Wicked God, yanking him toward the black hole in the sky.

The Wicked God shrieked.

”Are you kidding me!?

I’m a god! How can I be—how can I—”

”Just what is this card!?”

Yes, even gods could not resist. Super Polymerization transcended all, friend or foe, and could not be countered. Even an evolved god must accept the effects of a Spell Card for one turn; they were not absolutely immune.

Let alone something as divine as Super Polymerization.

The fusion materials: Elemental HERO Neos and The Wicked Eraser.

Jaden looked up, watching Neos and the Wicked God drawn into the vortex, witnessing the birth of a fusion monster that had never existed before, forged by Super Polymerization.

And in the radiance, he seemed to see—

The Supreme King?

That imposing, jet-black armor; that fiery red cloak; the regal bearing atop all. Yet the eyes that looked down at him seemed, for a moment, to hold a trace of approval, a bit of comfort...

No, it wasn’t an illusion.

It really was the Supreme King’s signature black armor. But as the light faded and the form grew clear, it seemed Neos had donned the Supreme King’s armor, transforming into a Supreme King form.

[Evil HERO Neos Lord, ATK 2500]

Fusion materials: Elemental HERO Neos plus any effect monster on the field.

Even the Wicked God, by the rules, qualified as an ”effect monster.”

The Wicked God on the other side was dumbfounded.

I... got fused?

So does that mean I betrayed myself, or was I kidnapped by my opponent?

But there was no time for such philosophical musings.

Jaden continued, ”Evil HERO Neos Lord’s effect: when Special Summoned, I can take control of one monster on my opponent’s field!

I’ll take ’The Supreme Sun’!”

Wicked God: ”???”

You ate me, and you’re taking my sun too!?

Neos Lord stretched out a hand, releasing darkness from his palm.

Come here!

The Supreme Sun was engulfed by darkness and brought over to Jaden’s field.

”What the hell... What the hell... What the hell...”

The Wicked God was going mad.

”How can this be!?”

Jaden glanced meaningfully at the new Neos Lord on his field, at that familiar silhouette, and smiled softly.

”Thanks. I owe you again.”

He opened his golden eyes.

”The Supreme Sun, direct attack on the Wicked God!”
