Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

”My turn, draw!”

At the moment he drew, Jaden felt everything change.

A power—dark, turbulent, with the wildness of a king—poured endlessly into his body.

His blood boiled, his cells surged, as if every bone was trembling in anticipation. His soul roared in excitement, rejoicing for the power that was always his but had lain dormant for so long.

Jaden looked at the card he drew, his pupils contracting, as if lost memories of a past life returned with it.

”So this is the power you spoke of...”

Though it was his first time seeing this card in this life, Jaden felt an unshakable confidence—this card could save Yubel.

But he knew he couldn’t awaken its power alone. The Supreme King gave him this chance.

”Thanks,” Jaden smiled. ”You’re a tough guy to get along with, but you’re not so bad.”

But there was no reply.

”Supreme King?”

Jaden called, puzzled.

Still no response.

He found it strange, but with such a critical duel ongoing, he pushed it aside and refocused.

”After drawing, I enter the Standby Phase. During this phase, I activate the other effect of ’Take Over 5’ in the graveyard.

Banish this card and all other copies from my deck, then draw a card!” (Anime card)

Two Spell Cards floated before him and vanished in a shimmer of gold. Jaden drew another card.

”Then, I activate ’Evil HERO Malicious Bane’s’ effect again—once per turn, destroy all opponent’s monsters with less ATK!”

Malicious Bane’s power surged once more, crushing everything on Yubel’s field, even the massive two-headed demon dragon.

”No matter how many times, it won’t work!” Yubel shouted. ”If my second form leaves the field, I revive my third form from the grave! Descend in your most despairing form—

—Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare!!!”

[Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare, ATK 0]

Once again, the ultimate form descended, but Jaden was unfazed.

He felt full of energy, power surging through him. He flipped another card: ”Activate face-down, Continuous Trap ’Soul Resurrection!’

Special summon a Normal Monster from my graveyard in Defense Position!”

Yubel frowned. ”A Normal Monster...”

She seemed to realize, with some disgust, what was coming.

”That’s right. The card that returned to the deck as a fusion material, then sent to the graveyard by ’Take Over 5’ last turn.

A beam of gold shot from Jaden’s graveyard.

”Return to the field again, shine—Elemental HERO Neos!”

[Elemental HERO Neos, DEF 2000]

”I told you, I’d bring you back through this duel, Yubel!” Jaden shouted. ”Whether with light or darkness, I’ll use any power to free you!

The ultimate Fusion card, the Supreme King’s symbol—”

He sent a card from his hand to the graveyard, raising another overhead.

”By discarding a card, I activate Quick-Play Spell—

—Super Polymerization!!!”

Yubel’s expression changed instantly. ”NANI!?”

”Super Polymerization lets me discard a card and fuse any monsters on the field—mine or yours!

And its activation can’t be negated or responded to—no card effects can be chained to it!”

The true symbol of the Supreme King’s ultimate power, a card he himself couldn’t unleash before merging with Jaden—the ultimate fusion card, Super Polymerization!

The sky tore as if ripped by an invisible hand, a black vortex opening overhead. An abyssal black hole seemed to link to another world. The air trembled, both duelists’ ears ringing. Pebbles and dust were swept up as if the very foundation of the world was being drawn into the vortex.

”I fuse my ’Elemental HERO Neos’ and your ’Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare’ with Super Polymerization!”

Jaden declared.

”Remember, Yubel! Remember your mission, our past, our promise—and return to me!”

Yubel’s gaze flickered, her eyes growing vacant.

Our past, our promise...

In a daze, she really saw a flashback.

In a field of white light under the blue sky, she saw her former self—next to the boy she once swore to protect with her life, the boy with the Supreme King’s power.

The boy, choking back tears, said: ”I swear, my love will always belong to you, Yubel—until the end of my life, until forever.”

Yubel gently stroked his head and replied, ”I swear I’ll always be by your side, no matter when, no matter where.”

”...”

Yubel: ”...”

The storm grew stronger, the pull irresistible, drawing both the Ultimate Nightmare and Neos into the vortex, merging them.

”Fusion Summon!” Jaden called out. ”Elemental HERO Neos Kluger!!!”

[Elemental HERO Neos Kluger, ATK 3000]

Of course, using Yubel’s evolved forms would be illegal under the real card game’s text.

But in the anime, Super Polymerization is a card that transcends all rules. In the real game, you need to have the actual fusion monster and the precise materials. But in the anime, the Supreme King can just grab any two monsters and fuse them, creating any Fusion Monster on the spot.

That’s why Super Polymerization is called the ”ultimate fusion card”—it fuses anything, with no restrictions, even transcending both duelists’ souls. In Jaden and Yubel’s final battle, it was shown to be able to fuse even the dimensions themselves—a true ultimate card that breaks all limits.

”Damn...”

On the other side of the field, though Yubel’s body still stood, she staggered like an empty shell with its soul ripped out.

The voice that came from it was no longer Yubel’s, but something even more sinister.

The Wicked God.

”So you used a card’s power to steal away the soul, leaving me with just a shell?” the Wicked God’s voice snarled. ”I underestimated you. To think there’s still a duelist in this era who can wield such a powerful card...

Then I’ll just take that card’s power as well!”

”Sorry, not happening,” Jaden said coldly. ”Battle!

Elemental HERO Neos Kluger, attack the evil consciousness within Yubel!”

With the Ultimate Nightmare already fused away, Yubel’s field was empty—Elemental HERO Neos Kluger’s attack would finish it!

But the Wicked God roared: ”Activate face-down! Trap Card—Call of the Haunted: Revive a monster from the grave in Defense Position!

Of course, what I’m reviving is... myself—”

The world darkened, thunder split the clouds, and the Wicked God of Erasure awakened once more from the abyss.

The Wicked Eraser, Descend!

[The Wicked Eraser, DEF ?]

As the god itself was summoned, the power radiating from Yubel’s empty shell increased, as if helping the Wicked God gain more control over the body.

”Eraser’s DEF is determined by the number of cards on your field,” the Eraser said. ”You have the continuous trap ’Soul Resurrection’ from summoning Neos, plus Malicious Bane and Elemental HERO Neos Kluger, so my DEF is 3000!”

[The Wicked Eraser, DEF 3000]

Elemental HERO Neos Kluger couldn’t break through that.

Of course, Malicious Bane could, but attacking would trigger Eraser’s effect—all cards on the field would be sent to the grave. And the effect sends them, not destroys them, so even Malicious Bane’s destruction immunity doesn’t help.

Eraser sneered.

Even if Jaden chose not to attack, the result would be the same. At the end of the turn, a god special summoned by a card effect is sent to the grave, and all cards on the field go with it. Jaden would be left defenseless for the Wicked God’s next turn.

It was over.

But Jaden said, ”Battle continues. Elemental HERO Neos Kluger attacks ’The Wicked Eraser.’”

Eraser: ”?”

Attacking even though it’s meaningless?

What is this kid up to...?

”Watch, Wicked God,” Jaden said calmly. ”This is the bond between me, the Supreme King, and Yubel—a bond that transcends reincarnation. Even a god cannot break this power.

Elemental HERO Neos Kluger’s effect: When it battles an opponent’s monster, before damage calculation—inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster’s ATK!”

Wicked God: ”!!!”

ATK value—what!?

”Eraser’s ATK is 3000, so you take 3000 damage!” Jaden shouted, ”Disappear!”

The Wicked God howled, while Elemental HERO Neos Kluger unleashed countless blue beams. The barrage engulfed the god, a wall of light sweeping across the field, a sky-piercing pillar shattering the clouds and driving away the darkness.
