Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

”Revive ’Treeborn Frog’ from the Graveyard!”

The little frog with a golden halo flew back to the field, flapping its wings and landing.

[Treeborn Frog, DEF 100]

The Wicked God said: ”Next, I activate the Equip Spell ’Grave Goods of the Sacrifice,’ equipping it to ’Treeborn Frog.’

If the equipped monster is Tributed for a Tribute Summon, this Equip Spell can also count as a Tribute.” (Anime card) (TL: I’m not sure about this card, I can’t find the exact card.)

The Equip Spell appeared in the back row, empowering Treeborn Frog. Now, Treeborn Frog alone could count as two Tributes.

The Wicked God: ”Then, Continuous Spell—’Precious Cards from Beyond.’

As long as this card is on the field, whenever I Tribute Summon using two or more Tributes, I can draw two cards from my deck!”

Jaden: ”Looks like he’s setting up for another big Tribute Summon...”

Yubel: ”But his Wicked God card is already in the Graveyard. And even with ’Grave Goods of the Sacrifice,’ Treeborn Frog only counts as two Tributes, not enough to summon a God.”

But the Wicked God suddenly laughed loudly.

”You seem to think my trump card is only a God,” the Wicked God said. ”But I told you, my deck draws power from more than one world—beyond your imagination!

I Tribute Treeborn Frog and its equipped ’Grave Goods of the Sacrifice’ as two Tributes! Tribute Summon!

The origin of the Planet series—

—The Supreme Sun!!!”

Jaden: ”!?”

The Supreme Sun!?

At that moment, after the frog was Tributed, a blazing sun rose beyond the horizon—except this sun was pitch black. It hung in the sky, burning with black flames, then took the form of a majestic giant, its flaming aura as black as ink.

[The Supreme Sun, ATK 3000]

”Kira’s Sun,” Jaden murmured. ”Why is this card here!?”

If Treeborn Frog was a common card, the Supreme Sun was completely different. It was one of the ultra-rare ”Planet series,” only nine copies in the world, each unique and irreplaceable.

And Jaden knew exactly who owned this card. Ever since Tragodia’s defeat, the Supreme Sun had been in Kira’s possession.

”Impossible...” Jaden muttered. ”Could he really mean…”

Did he get it from another world?

What kind of world? The Spirit Dimension?

Jaden, no stranger to other dimensions, quickly thought: maybe in some Spirit World there were more Planet cards. In his world, everyone knew there were only three Blue-Eyes White Dragons, and only one Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, all owned by Seto Kaiba. But research suggested this was only true for their reality—there could be more Blue-Eyes in the Spirit World.

For example, the spirit ”Kaibaman,” modeled after Kaiba himself, at least had three Blue-Eyes and an Ultimate Dragon.

But Jaden instinctively felt what the Wicked God meant by ”other worlds” wasn’t just Spirit Dimensions.

Maybe, he truly meant an alternate world.

”Because I Tribute Summoned ’The Supreme Sun,’ the effect of ’Precious Cards from Beyond’ activates—I draw two cards.”

The Wicked God drew two cards and immediately revealed one.

”I activate Continuous Spell—’Ebon Sun.’ While this card is on the field, whenever my monster is destroyed, I regain LP equal to its ATK.

And when a monster is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, that monster gains 1000 ATK!”

Ebon Sun, now a real card, closely matched its anime effect. In the real card, you gain LP equal to the destroyed monster’s original ATK, and if you discard a Spell/Trap from your hand, you can retrieve one from the Graveyard—this last effect was not in the anime.

From its name and effect, it was clear this card was designed to work with the undying ”Supreme Sun.”

”Supreme Sun, attack ’Elemental HERO Clayman’!”

The Wicked God commanded, and Supreme Sun blasted black flames at Clayman. The four-star HERO withstood a firestorm far beyond his level, but his sturdy body crumbled, turning to black ash.

”I told you, since you dared come to my domain, no matter what tricks you have—you stand no chance!”

The Wicked God laughed wildly.

”I set another card to my back row and end my turn!”

Jaden waved away the scorching scent in front of him. ”Supreme Sun, I remember its effect—each time it’s sent to the Graveyard, it revives itself in the next Standby Phase.”

Yubel said: ”And he still has the real Wicked God in his Graveyard. If he revives the Wicked God, it’ll wipe the field again...”

Just like last turn, if Wicked Eraser is revived, it’ll clear the field, and next Standby Phase, Supreme Sun will revive itself.

A perfect combo—one clears the field, the other keeps coming back.

”One wipes the board, the other’s an undying attacker,” Jaden said. ”A terrifying combo.”

But despite his words, a smile crept onto his face, as if he couldn’t help but look forward to the challenge.

Yubel glanced at him and smiled too: ”Heh, that’s my Jaden. You won’t back down from this, will you?”

”Of course not.” Jaden smiled, declaring, ”My turn—draw!”

”I activate the Spell Card ’Graceful Charity’—draw three cards from my deck, then discard two!”

Jaden drew and discarded.

”Next, Spell Card—’Convert Contact!’ I send a ’Neo-Spacian’ monster from my hand and deck to the Graveyard, then draw two cards!”

His Duel Disk automatically searched and ejected a card. Jaden sent it and a card from his hand to the Graveyard, then drew two.

”No matter what kind of Wicked God or Sun you have, it doesn’t matter to me—as long as I can defeat you!”

Jaden activated another card.

”From my hand, I activate the Trap Card—’NEXT’!”
