Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

Once everyone was inside the room, Wei’en returned to the Ronan. He appeared at the stern in a flash and calmly watched the five-masted sailing ship draw closer.

’The number of people... the Calamity Origin should be sufficient...’

On the white-and-gold ship, one thousand two hundred Holy Professionals stood in neat rows, all clad in pristine armor.

And at the prow, leaning on a two-handed greatsword, stood an elderly man with a solemn expression—he was none other than Huberto Watson, the Judgment Knight of the Dawn Church.

”Sir, he doesn’t seem to be that Mutated Mage,” a woman in a golden robe standing behind Huberto said doubtfully, looking at Wei’en, who had red hair and the face of Marco.

”It’s him!” Huberto’s deep-set eyes took on a golden sheen as he said coldly, ”Wizards always resort to disgusting little tricks.”

”Oh.”

The woman stepped back, her curious eyes sizing up the figure. ’Magic?’

As the two ships drew closer, Huberto stared intently at Wei’en. He lifted the greatsword with a single hand, his body beginning to radiate a dazzling, white-gold brilliance.

Behind him, the armored Holy Professionals in their neat formations did the same. Beams of light flashed from each one, gradually merging into a single sheet of light, as if they were facing a formidable enemy.

[You have been locked on by Huberto Watson’s killing intent. Evaluation: He is stronger than, not weaker than, the idiot who previously swallowed the Calamity Origin. The best course of action is—to flee! Reward: Survival Points +100.]

[You have been locked on by Isidro Bishop’s killing intent... Reward: Survival Points +1...]

Wei’en ignored the messages on his panel. He scanned his surroundings, his gaze finally resting on the Great Knight. His fingers, gripping his sniper rifle, tightened slightly.

In his spiritual perception, the Judgment Knight before him didn’t feel like a person, but rather a ball of blinding light. The terrifying pressure and surging Power of Faith emanating from him felt as if they would swallow Wei’en whole.

He could even faintly hear a solemn, profound voice call out, ”Sope, Sineas, Deen Ael, Nisola Risi...”

Gonzalez!

”Praise the Dawn. May the world exist in eternal light. His will descends to end eons of terror, to bring an end to death...”

As Wei’en processed the meaning of the words in his ears, a prompt slowly appeared in his mind.

[You have entered the faith-gathering domain of the Lord of Dawn, Orpheus. Because your Spirit Level is greater than 1000, you have successfully resisted the corrosion of the Power of Dawn Faith... Special Reward: Survival Points +50, Spirit Level +5, Resilience Level +5.]

’Faith-gathering... Is it that figurehead?’

Wei’en’s gaze shifted to the statue on the prow, which was identical to the one he had seen in Krimms Cathedral.

A pitch-black message appeared immediately after—

[You have witnessed an alternate avatar of the Lord of Dawn, Orpheus. Orpheus’s attention on you +1. Current Rank: 6746. Evaluation: Are you sure you don’t want to leave? Special Reward: Calamity Origin +2.]

’Leave?’

’How can I leave without even trying!’

Wei’en looked back at the Judgment Knight. He dispelled the Illusion Technique, revealing his true appearance. His crimson eyes stared directly into the knight’s. ”Was that your doing just now?”

”Wei’en Loft, by the will of the Dawn,” the Judgment Knight said in a heavy voice, ignoring the question. ”Whether you repent or not, today I, Huberto Watson, shall grant you judgment!”

”Grant me judgment... Heh!”

Wei’en let out a disdainful laugh. ”If the Dawn Church were truly so powerful,” he mocked, ”you wouldn’t be incapable of protecting your own followers.”

”In Krimms Cathedral, all I saw was indifference and filth. Those so-called Dawn Believers only showed any emotion when they were hawking their candles and lamp oil.”

”I wonder if you, the great Judgment Knight, have ever seen the looks on their faces with your own eyes? That look of extreme greed and selfishness?”

In response to his words, the Dawn Church’s Holy Professionals remained impassive, their faces stern and solemn, as if they hadn’t heard a thing.

As for the Judgment Knight, he raised his two-handed greatsword and instantly appeared at Wei’en’s side. ”These are not matters for a heretic like you to comment on!”

”Judgment—Slash!”

TSK!

Even though Wei’en was on guard, the Judgment Knight’s speed still shocked him. ’So fast!’

”Wol, Gans, Tar!” (Bone Wall!)

An array materialized, and sixteen ghastly white Bone Walls, each capable of withstanding a Director Level strike, rose up in front of him.

Without waiting to see if the Bone Walls could stop the Judgment Knight, Wei’en issued another command. Above his head, the Secret Master, its expression grave, recited the incantation for the Blink Spell: ”Nico, Ruke.”

He instantly reappeared on the aft deck of the five-masted sailing ship and immediately cast several more spells.

”Jia, Lier, Kings.” (Spirit Shield.)

”Ze, Roka.” (Bulwark)

Now cloaked in defensive magic, Wei’en watched the distant Ronan. With a casual strike, the Judgment Knight effortlessly sliced through the sixteen Bone Walls, shattered the phantom clones, and then...

The entire Ronan was split in two!

[Your Bone Wall magic failed to block Huberto Watson’s attack. Evaluation: The power gap is too great! Reward: Survival Points +20.]

’Terrifying!’

’So strong!’
