Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

But whatever she was thinking, she didn’t dare act recklessly at this moment.

Although she also held a Forbidden Item, with Extraordinary Power being unusable, one wrong move could cause the figurehead to lose control as well.

’I must... I must wait for the right opportunity!’

Black Jack watched the clown doll, which was laughing bizarrely and showing clear signs of losing control, and couldn’t help but curse, ”I knew it. I knew this mission wouldn’t be so simple.”

With Old Jack’s face, he darted over to Tina’s side and placed a hand on her shoulder. ”Stay still. It’s too dangerous here. I’ll get you out of here!”

Without waiting for a response, Black Jack wrapped an arm around her waist and took off, sprinting west.

Wei’en, who was standing nearby, saw this. The image of Black Jack abducting Tina was reflected in his crimson eyes as he cursed internally: ’Damn it, Clown! Can’t you be a little more fucking reliable?’

’Couldn’t you have mentioned that everyone around you gets paralyzed when you lose control?’

’And after all this, you still want *me* to reverse your loss of control? Reverse what? My ass!’

As the prompts flashed past, Wei’en grew even more frustrated. He knew how to stop the Clown’s loss of control; the problem was, he had to be able to speak.

’If he could just speak, the prohibition on Extraordinary abilities, being forced to watch the performance, and even the emotion management wouldn’t be a problem.’

”Tina...”

Director Nifa also witnessed ’Old Jack’s’ abduction, but her attention was fixed on Tina. She especially noticed the look in the white-haired girl’s eyes as she glanced back—those once vacant, lifeless eyes were now faintly veiled with a crimson glow. A horrifying realization seemed to dawn on her, and a chill shot through her entire body.

Just then, Wei’en saw the clown doll’s mouth snap shut, silencing its bizarre laughter. Its button eyes slowed their spinning and came to a halt, revealing a pair of eyes filled with malice that swept over everyone present.

He noticed the Clown’s gaze didn’t linger on him. ’Does losing control also mean losing its memory?’

”Ladies and gentlemen, the performance is about to begin. Please remain silent and observe the theater’s rules. I trust that with our cooperation, this will be a perfect performance.”

The clown doll’s voice was slightly hoarse, its tone unnervingly calm. It was as if it held no expectations for the performance, only a deep indifference to the people and events around it.

Hearing this, Wei’en gave a bitter, internal laugh. ’You piece of shit Clown. You fucking deserve to get screwed over.’

THUMP, THUMP, THUMP...

Immediately after, a sound like a throbbing heart echoed in everyone’s ears, as if imbued with some kind of magic. All around, people could feel their own heartbeats falling into sync with the Clown’s.

[You have been affected by the loss of control of ”Forbidden Item 1-83 Demon Clown.” Your body is gradually being controlled by it (including your movements and speech, and eventually your thoughts). Exemption Conditions: Resilience Level exceeds 5000 and Origin exceeds 250, or possession of a Forbidden Item.]

’Control—does that mean all my actions and words will be controlled by the Clown?’

’Then how am I supposed to reverse its loss of control?’

Wei’en grew anxious. He had anticipated the Clown losing control, but he had never imagined that Tina—the one person who could suppress it—would also run into trouble.

’As for the second method... he couldn’t guarantee he’d be able to maintain a blank expression through the entire performance.’

Meanwhile, the clown doll’s body began to transform at an accelerated rate. Its fuzzy exterior smoothed out and vanished. Some parts turned into skin, others into a black tuxedo, while its nose grew increasingly distinct and translucent.

As its body elongated, a tattered mask appeared on its face. The large, comical red nose was distinct and translucent. It still wore the black tuxedo embroidered with gold patterns, but now a cane had appeared in its hand. He looked every bit the part of a clown about to take the stage.

A wide smile split the Clown’s face. In the dim light of the night, the smear of blood-red on his lips and his red nose gave him an extremely sinister appearance. He seemed oblivious to this, however, placing a hand on his chest and bowing slightly in a gentlemanly salute. ”My apologies for keeping you all waiting.”

At that moment, everyone around, whether they could see him or only hear his voice, cursed him with the same thought: ’Bastard. If we weren’t paralyzed, who the hell would be waiting for you?’
