Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

The most dangerous and severe consequence was this—after being attacked and forced to flee, they were exposed to the red moon!

”ROAR—”

”HISS—”

One by one, living people bathed in the red moonlight. First, their eyes turned crimson, then their bodies began to twist and deform, and finally, they transformed into mindless, mutated abominations.

They were the victims, but after mutating, they joined the ranks of their assailants.

Soon, chaos and mutation spread throughout the entire Caster City State. There was no safe haven, and no escape.

Meanwhile, near the Laos District, Bolsen had already met up with another green-robed figure leading a dozen Sutle Dogs. They eagerly began the sacrificial ritual.

”Hahaha... Corruption! Mutation! Fall into the abyss!”

”My lord, I have already fallen deeply in love with this place!”

Bolsen laughed maniacally as he set up the altar and totems and inscribed the Sacrificial Array.

”Bolsen, you should form a contract with a Sutle Dog as a temporary measure.”

”No, no, no! I haven’t lost control, nor do I intend to form a contract with any other Abyssal Creatures. Because...”

Bolsen’s body instantly swelled, transforming into a demonic form. He shouted in a grotesque voice, ”I, Bolsen Heikmei, have long resided in the abyss! I *am* a demon!”

The green-robed figure’s expression was calm. He shook his head and turned to leave. ”I’m leaving this to you. Summon the Commander soon, or *it* will get angry.”

”Leave it to me, leave it to me...” Bolsen sneered, looking toward the distant sea of fire at the people fleeing in panic, only to be corrupted by the red moon and mutate. ’Truly, the familiar scent of depravity.’

Meanwhile, at 44 Golden Street, inside Wei’en’s residence.

”My lady, what do we do now? The entire Caster City State is out of control!” Dark Dragon said anxiously, standing by the window of Wei’en’s attic bedroom.

”I’ve already used an Array to sever this space from the outside world,” Olivia said, wincing at the cost.

After all these years, even she had only managed to acquire a single Array Scroll made by a Great Mage. She never thought such a simple mission would turn into this.

At this thought, she cast another lashing Magic at Shawa, who was tied to the bed. ”This is all your master’s fault! He didn’t even report something so important, which led me to make the wrong judgment.”

”Nghh—” As a zombie, Shawa no longer felt physical pain, but the lashing Magic struck her soul, each blow consuming a small piece of it.

The agony of her soul being torn apart was something even she could barely endure.

But she still refused to reveal Wei’en’s whereabouts, nor did she give up any opportunity to resist.

This was both her zombie instinct and the tenacious will she had forged by carving out her own territory in the Undead World.

”Hmph. You’re not dead, so I suppose he’s still alive. Let’s just see if he can survive this crisis!”

Seeing Shawa struggle, Olivia abandoned the idea of lashing her further. Her eyes darted about as a new idea came to her.

”I just remembered a very interesting experiment I conducted once before. I might as well try it on you now...”

”Mmmph! Mmmph!”

’An experiment?’

Shawa instinctively tried to get up and flee. She felt a deep, primal fear of any Wizard’s experiment.

Dark Dragon, standing to the side, felt a small measure of relief. Watching Olivia prepare her things, she wanted to intervene but felt utterly helpless.

’In her opinion, it was rather pathetic for an Advanced Wizard Apprentice to vent her anger on a helpless zombie...’

...

...

Amidst the chaos, only the central district of the Caster City State remained strangely calm.

The Council, the Secret Investigation Department, and Krimms Cathedral all appeared as they usually did.

However, a look from afar would reveal that the Magic Array Light Shield over the Secret Investigation Department was still active, the Council hall was brightly lit, and the light emanating from Krimms Cathedral was far more brilliant than usual.

And the roars, screams, and maniacal cheers coming from all directions hammered at the hearts of everyone in the central district, plunging them into a deeper silence.

”Why won’t they let us go out and maintain order?”

Lisi was angry, unable to understand the decision.

Her hearing, far more sensitive than a normal person’s, allowed her to be certain that the Caster City State had descended into utter chaos.

’The sounds were like a mockery of her powerlessness.’

’Look at the order you worked so hard to maintain, the duty you swore as a Secret Investigation Officer—it’s all being trampled and destroyed.’

’How utterly laughable...’

But now, the higher-ups at the Secret Investigation Department had made no move, even ordering everyone to remain inside headquarters.

Hearing her, the surrounding Investigators shared her confusion. But when they saw Nifa and a few other high-ranking officials in the distance, they all fell silent and lowered their heads.

”Stop talking, Captain,” Marco slurred, taking a swig of liquor.

Ever since they had dealt with the Shadow Killers and the higher-ups had relayed the news from the Council hall, which they’d obtained through covert channels, he had been drinking heavily.

It couldn’t be called drinking anymore; he was practically pouring it down his throat.

Bottle after bottle of fine wine from his Nascimento Clan’s own winery was being treated like cheap tavern stout, poured into his mouth as if it were free.

”Damn it, how long are you going to keep drinking?” Lisi slammed a fist into his face. ”Shouldn’t you be happy? The Ernst Clan successfully forced Governor Samir to retreat!”

”Happy? Happy?” Marco staggered to his feet. ”Wh-why should I be happy? The Ernst Clan’s success isn’t the Nascimento Clan’s success, and it’s certainly not the success I want...”

”I-if it were me, I would have replaced the Ernst Clan and become the true ruler of the Caster City State! Not just stand by and support someone else!”
