Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

”I...” Upon seeing him, the anger vanished from Clelia’s face. She pouted aggrievedly. ”A horrible deep-sea monster poked a hole in the ship...”

”Go back and protect the Storm Church’s totem. If it’s gone, the Red Moon’s corruption will be even more lethal!”

”Okay, okay, I’ll go right now.” As if she’d found her courage, Clelia quickly ran toward the ship’s cabin.

After saying that, Wei’en took her place and joined in the effort to repair the hull.

With his level of power, the wind and waves couldn’t affect him.

But the sailors Clelia controlled weren’t so lucky. Every now and then, one would be swept away by a giant wave, vanishing into the sea.

SWISH!

Before Wei’en could react, he felt a sharp sting in his back. ’What was that?!’

[You have been attacked by a Deep Sea creature—a Swordfish. It is now dead. Evaluation: A juvenile deep-sea fish that enjoys using the spike on its nose to pierce its prey... Tsk, tsk. This one really hit a wall. Reward: Survival Points +1.]

’Swordfish?’

Wei’en’s expression shifted. He instantly extended his spiritual perception to scan the area.

At his level of resilience, these Swordfish posed no threat to him. The same, however, couldn’t be said for Clelia.

As his Spiritual Power swept out, he discovered a shocking sight: beneath the turbulent waves under the ship were innumerable Swordfish, many of them even larger in size.

These Swordfish swarmed around the ship. Their ghastly white eyes seemed to fixate on the small vessel, as if to say, ’We’ve got our eyes on you.’

’Fuck, there are too damn many!’

Wei’en’s brow tightened. If he let them keep ramming the hull, he and Clelia would probably have to retreat to the Joker Space and wait for dawn.

He quickly worked to repair the hull, all while keeping a close watch on the Swordfish.

’Not good!’

Before he had another thought, the Swordfish used the cover of a massive crashing wave to lunge at him, their snouts like spears.

Wei’en’s expression flickered. He commanded his Ghost and the Secret Master through his core to unleash a variety of Magic.

”Kill!”

”Gena! Ji! Una!” (Lightning Arrow!)

”...”

One dazzling, silver-white lightning bolt after another shot toward the Swordfish. Upon impact, each one exploded into countless tiny sparks, electrocuting the surrounding fish.

Forgetting the hull repairs, Wei’en drew his Revolver and shotgun. Aided by his Master-level Gun Skill, he began picking off the ones that got through.

[You used a Revolver to kill a Deep Sea creature—a Swordfish. Reward: Survival Points +1.]

’Good thing the Swordfish are attacking me,’ he thought. ’If their target was the ship beneath my feet... I wouldn’t be able to stop them at all.’

After taking out several hundred, Wei’en realized that countless more Swordfish were still swarming toward them.

’They’re asking to die!’

He glanced at the Swordfish corpses floating in the sea, and his gaze turned icy.

”Ghost!”

”Siyaam! Sir! Sute!”

The Ghost drifted in a quick circle, casting several Corpse Explosion Skills around the hull.

Wei’en watched as the dead Swordfish were detonated by a plague, their pale flesh and blood exploding outward and shredding the surrounding fish to pieces.

Then, the Swordfish that had only been splattered by the gore survived for less than a second before the plague within their bodies caused them to explode as well.

A chain reaction of explosions erupted around the hull. The massive booms even drowned out the roar of the storm, wiping out wave after wave of the deep-sea creatures.

”This...”

On the interface in Wei’en’s mind, countless notifications scrolled past, so fast that they blurred into a single stream.

’Just how many deep-sea creatures did that kill?’

After killing the nearby Swordfish, the effect of the Corpse Explosion Skill didn’t stop. Instead, it continued to spread outward, carried by microorganisms invisible to the naked eye.

Until—

”ROAR!!”

A roar, like something straight from the Purgatory Abyss, echoed from somewhere in the deep sea.

As the sound arrived, the wind and waves grew even more violent, threatening to swallow them and the ship whole.

At the same time, whirlpools formed in an instant, swirling toward him from the distance. Something massive was clearly churning the water below.

Wei’en froze. ’The Deep Sea Giant Beast, Adnan?!’

[You have been locked on by the killing intent of the Deep Sea Giant Beast Adnan. Evaluation: Strongly suggest you run. Otherwise, just wait to die. Reward: Survival Points +200.]

”200?!”

Without a second thought, Wei’en blinked back into the cabin, grabbed Clelia, opened the Clown Theater, and dove inside.

[Your Corpse Explosion Skill (Death God) has been dissipated by the churning seawater of the Deep Sea Giant Beast Adnan. Evaluation: Good thing you’re a fast runner... Reward: Survival Points +10.]

’Holy crap, that was a close call!’

Wei’en looked around at the familiar theater and breathed a sigh of relief.

”Wh-what happened?” Clelia stared at him, bewildered. ”Didn’t you just kill all those horrible fish? Why are we suddenly back in the theater? Did we just abandon the ship?”

”Something much bigger showed up.”

A headache started to form for Wei’en. It wasn’t because they no longer had a ship, but because he was worried about where they would end up when they returned to the real world.

He’d tested the Golden Key’s anchor point before. At first, he thought it was fixed to a specific area, but he later discovered that as the ship moved, his return point moved with it. He would always reappear in the cabin, not left behind in the open ocean.
