The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1237: Chapter 471: The Runaway Scumbag (Part 3)

Ding Yi gazed at the young man who had matured quite a bit, her expression slightly dazed.

All along, because of Zhou Wang’s constant evasions, she was always the more resolute one.

But that didn’t mean she truly enjoyed it.

No matter how much more mature she was compared to her peers, she was still just a girl in her early twenties. She often felt uncertain and lost, unsure if such waiting and persistence held any meaning.

She would never show vulnerability in front of anyone, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t sad and disappointed, especially since she was well aware that the ”peach blossoms” around Zhou Wang were never-ending...

But at this moment, upon hearing Zhou Wang’s seemingly implicit confession and seeing him rush to meet her, sweat trickling down his forehead, a subtle sense of being touched filled Ding Yi’s heart.

She was not someone who couldn’t express herself, so she made her move.

”I... missed you too.”

She took a small step forward and directly embraced Zhou Wang, resting her head comfortably on his shoulder.

The scent of lily of the valley mixed with something akin to white musk enveloped Zhou Wang’s senses. Compared to Jiang Qingkui’s voluptuous figure, Ding Yi’s body had the slenderness unique to a young girl. Yet the soft touch made the somewhat stunned Zhou Wang unconsciously place his hands gently on her waist.

While Zhou Wang was lost in the girl’s embrace, not far from him, behind the envious crowd, the ground staff lady responsible for greeting passengers widened her eyes.

Oh my!

If she remembered correctly, this tall and handsome young man appeared earlier...

At almost the same spot, he passionately kissed another incredibly beautiful woman.

My God, how long has it been!

Bah, scumbag!

The astonished ground staff lady was about to take out her phone to document his ”criminal record,” but as if sensing something, the young man simultaneously let go of Ding Yi.

”Uh, let’s go first, the driver has been waiting for a long time...”

Zhou Wang didn’t notice anyone taking pictures; he just caught sight of the electronic screen in the hall with the message clearly displayed that the flight from Peng City to Beidou had landed.

Xia Xiwei was on that flight.

Feeling the ”danger” approaching, Zhou Wang dared not stay here any longer.

”Okay.”

Ding Yi nodded slightly and walked out with Zhou Wang side by side.

Once they left the arrival hall, Zhou Wang relaxed a bit. At least now they wouldn’t accidentally run into each other, right?

As long as he got Ding Yi into the car, this hurdle would be cleared.

While Zhou Wang was calculating this, he suddenly heard Ding Yi beside him say, ”Zhou Wang, wait a minute.”

”What’s up?”

”I need to use the restroom; can you wait for me here?”

Ding Yi pointed to the restroom beside the corridor and winked at Zhou Wang, ”It might take a little time, don’t get impatient~”

”I... of course, you can go.”

What else could Zhou Wang say, he could only nod in agreement.

Ding Yi smiled at Zhou Wang again before moving towards the restroom.

Just as Ding Yi entered the restroom, Zhou Wang’s phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he silently cursed but still answered the call with trepidation.

”Hey, you lousy Zhou Wang, I’ve arrived. Where are you... Didn’t you say you’d wait for me at the exit early!”

On the other end of the phone, amid a slightly noisy background, Xia Xiwei’s dissatisfied hum came through.

”Haha, of course, I’m already here... Uh, don’t move yet, just wait where you are. I got the place wrong, I’ll be right there!”

Zhou Wang hung up the call and didn’t have time to think much. He could only calm Xia Xiwei for the moment, then signaled to Han Rui with a glance, indicating him to act accordingly, and promptly turned and dashed towards the arrival gate.
