The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1223: Chapter 465: First Encounter with Senior Sister Jiang (Part 2)

”Additionally, the presidential suite of this hotel offers a panoramic view. From the terrace, you can see the sunrise and sunset over the Forbidden City. Their Purple Cuisine Restaurant is also one of the well-known Michelin restaurants in Beidou, and it should satisfy your tastes.”

”So we’re staying in the presidential suite?”

Su Yajing didn’t find staying in an ultra-luxurious five-star hotel particularly special, because she knew her brother wouldn’t arrange an ordinary hotel for her. What surprised Su Yajing was that the reservation made by Huang Duming was the best presidential suite.

Especially at this moment, Peng Xiaoman’s stunned expression further gave Su Yajing a sense of satisfaction and relief.

She wasn’t a fool and could easily discern the doubts Peng Xiaoman expressed in her words.

And now?

She just wanted to shout, ”Let the evidence speak!”

...

After a sound sleep, in the morning, Su Yajing naturally woke up on the soft bed. Sitting up and stretching lazily, when she turned her head to look at the balcony of the suite’s master bedroom, Su Yajing couldn’t help but sigh.

”So beautiful...”

In the bright morning light, nearby are lush greens, and behind the greenery, before the distant mountains, the red walls and golden tiles of the Forbidden City are gleaming brightly.

The interplay of light and shadow seemed like time overlapping, history reappearing, instantaneously making Su Yajing feel the unique charm of this ancient capital, which has stood for a millennium.

Su Yajing took out her phone to snap a picture and couldn’t wait to share it on her Moments, then started editing the caption.

The vastness of Huaxia, um...

Su Yajing wanted to add some grand poetic line, but her knowledge was limited, and she felt that for this slightly solemn photo, merely adding an emoji or ”WCWC” wouldn’t be appropriate either.

Thus, Su Yajing searched online for a while before finally editing the caption and posting it.

”The grand halls open in the nine heavens, nations bow in apparel to the imperial curtain.”

”Location: Beidou Wangfujing Mandarin Oriental Hotel”

Shortly after posting on Moments, she quickly received several likes. Satisfied, Su Yajing nodded before getting up, stretching lazily, and strolled to the balcony to sit down leisurely.

At this time, she was the only one in the suite. As for Peng Xiaoman, she had gotten up around four or five in the morning to watch the flag-raising ceremony. Before going to sleep, she had asked Su Yajing to join her, but Su Yajing hesitated just for a moment before declining.

...She knew she couldn’t wake up that early.

This was better, being in the hotel’s suite and being able to leisurely enjoy even more beautiful views—that was the point of traveling.

The Tsinghua training class would begin registration the next day, so today was a free day. Peng Xiaoman likely went to climb the Great Wall after watching the flag-raising, accompanied by a guide arranged by the suite’s butler. Su Yajing didn’t have to worry about her.

After breakfast on the balcony, she slowly washed up and applied makeup, deliberately styling herself with a neat and sweet hairstyle resembling that of a girl next door. Not until nearing noon did Su Yajing leisurely leave the hotel and get into the Maybach S680, heading to her predetermined destination.

At twelve-thirty, as per yesterday’s appointment on WeChat, the Maybach arrived punctually at Yihua Alley near Beidou’s East Second Ring.

”President Su, ahead is Yihua Alley No. 55. Should I drive directly in?”

While admiring the street view outside the window, Su Yajing turned her head forward upon hearing the driver Shushu’s reminder.

Ahead, at WeChat’s indicated location of Yihua Alley No. 55, stood a two-story glass building with a wide entrance, an independent yard, and a beautiful garden.

It was also... the place where Sister Jiang Mo was located.

Originally, the car could drive directly in. Through the gate, one of the three parking spaces inside was still vacant, possibly reserved by Senior Sister Jiang just for her...

Su Yajing knew that although the sister might seem aloof in chats, it didn’t mean she wasn’t attentive inside.

But, due to some inexplicable feelings, Su Yajing ultimately had Shushu park the car at a spot within the alley.

”You can wait here for a bit, or find a café nearby to sit in. I might be a while.”

After instructing Shushu, Su Yajing got out of the car and walked alone toward the spacious courtyard.

She walked slowly, her thoughts drifting along the way.

”There’s nothing perfect in this world.”

Su Yajing had known this truth since she was young, or perhaps because of her broken family background, she had a deeper understanding of this phrase.

So when she started dating Zhou Wang, she could quickly and calmly accept the fact that ”she could only exist as Zhou Wang’s mistress” after the initial regret.

With this awareness planted early in her heart, Su Yajing could exhibit an obedience far surpassing that of a normal girlfriend in front of Zhou Wang.

She endeavored to please Zhou Wang, fearing that one day she would become the abandoned doll.

Yet, beneath this humble mindset, as a normal girl, a beautiful girl, a girl yearning for love and eternity, Su Yajing hadn’t completely given up on that sliver of fantasy.

What if?

What if she could eventually marry Zhou Wang, becoming his most unique presence beside him...

This hope, although elusive, persistently lingered in Su Yajing’s mind.

Until the day when Zhou Wang first took her to his home, the expansive ”Spring Eye” apartment.

There she met Chen Mei, Miao Ying, and also... Jiang Qingkui.
