The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1221: Chapter 464: Su Yajing’s Vanity (2)

The earliest flights, especially those departing internationally, typically take off between 5:30 and 6:00.

Therefore, it’s not an exaggeration to say that this place operates 24 hours a day.

The Huaxia Airlines flight CA1448, from Ming City directly to Beidou, landed punctually at Beidou International Airport at 1:55 AM, although, due to the airport’s ground control coordination, Su Yajing had to wait a while longer on the plane.

”Miss Su, I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. You can disembark now!”

The gentle and enthusiastic reminder from the flight attendant sounded in her ear, and Su Yajing nodded to the half-crouched flight attendant before getting up to head outside the cabin.

This was her second time flying in her life, and her first time in first class.

Flight CA1448, operated by the large Airbus 330, is also a rare domestic flight that has both first and business class cabins.

The first time Su Yajing flew was in her freshman year when she came from Li City to Ming City for school. Her aunt was too busy with the inn’s business to send her, so concerned for her safety, she booked her a plane ticket.

The entire flight was just an hour long, and aside from the novelty of flying for the first time, Su Yajing didn’t feel much; if anything, she found the plane seats unexpectedly cramped. She couldn’t lean back, and her 170cm long legs had nowhere to go.

The onboard meal was terribly unpalatable, not to her liking at all. She only ate a piece of fresh flower cake and didn’t touch her tray again.

This time, however, flying made her truly understand what ”luxury” and ”comfort” are.

The pre-boarding process was a breeze, using dedicated check-in counters, a dedicated security channel, and a dedicated lounge equipped with various self-service hot foods and pastries—even a bar specifically for drinks...

Once on the plane, Su Yajing felt like she had entered a grand garden, first startled by the extremely enthusiastic attitude of the flight attendants.

The airline’s flight attendants are professionally trained, and even passengers in economy class can sense their good service, but...

Only those who have truly flown first class know how vast the difference is.

For example, in economy class, if you want to place your luggage in the aisle, the flight attendant will politely urge you to move aside so as not to block other passengers.

But in first class, before you even step into the cabin, the flight attendant is eager to take your luggage, providing various attentive smiles and gestures that make you understand what ”hospitality” truly means...

In economy class, flight attendants will never crouch down.

Another interesting fact is that if you ask for a flight attendant’s WeChat in economy class, they will undoubtedly refuse, and if you persist, you might even be handled by undercover security. However, no flight attendant in first class will refuse such a request, even if it’s not part of their service duties.

This sounds realistic, but it is the reality.

The flight attendants kept warmly addressing her as ”Miss Su,” and even someone like her, who was a drama student, couldn’t find any flaws.

The physical comforts of first class go without saying — 180° full-flat seats with private storage lockers, shoe cabinets, and wardrobes... Su Yajing could finally stretch her legs freely and wanted to squeal with excitement.

The food was extraordinarily exquisite.

Su Yajing never imagined that an airplane meal could match the standards of a high-end Western restaurant, with courses such as appetizers, main course, side dishes, dessert, and drinks.

The smoked salmon cold platter, main courses offering choices like Chinese-style braised sea cucumber with abalone sauce, black pepper beef with rice, steamed coral trout, or Western-style pan-seared foie gras, Australian steak with red wine sauce, Italian risotto, and sides of freshly baked garlic bread and matsutake chicken soup...

The red wine startled Su Yajing; she glimpsed the letters that looked like ”Lafite.”

Though after checking, Su Yajing realized she had made a mistake; the red wine was actually ”Légende Bordeaux,” different from the renowned ”Lafite” everyone talks about...

In any case, this first-class flight experience redefined Su Yajing’s understanding of travel. During the three-hour flight, she didn’t feel bored at all, just enjoyed some food and slept comfortably, and then she arrived.

Now, joining the priority disembarkation group, she found a sleek black 7-seater Coaster waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs.

These vehicles are VIP shuttles exclusively for first-class passengers. However, when Su Yajing boarded at Ming City Airport, she rode in a Mercedes-Benz business car, whereas here at the Capital Airport, it was a Coaster.

The business car took Su Yajing and another female vice president from the Ming City Lishui Yunquan Hotel to the terminal building. Once navigating through a dedicated passage and exiting the airport, Peng Xiaoman, the vice president, couldn’t help but say:

”Miss Su, are you sure you don’t need me to call a friend for a pick-up? Or I could order a Didi car; we’re still quite far from the Beidou City District. Oh, and about the hotel, I suggest staying near the Second Ring Road so it’s closer to Tsinghua, but I’m not sure if we can still get a decent booking at this hour...”

Currently, Su Yajing has no official position within the hotel, yet due to an unspoken understanding among the hotel executives, she holds a high status, so everyone generally addresses her as ”Miss Su.”

Regarding this trip with Su Yajing, Peng Xiaoman actually harbored some discontent.

It mainly stemmed from Su Yajing’s ”lack of planning.”

Normally, for business trips to other cities, Peng Xiaoman was quite experienced, but Su Yajing rejected all her arrangements beforehand, leaving nothing but the plane tickets within Peng Xiaoman’s expectations.

This naturally left her feeling awkward.

”President Peng, don’t worry; I’ve arranged everything. There’s no need to worry about transportation or the hotel; someone will pick us up.”

Su Yajing waved it off indifferently, speaking with full confidence.

”Miss Su, may I ask who you contacted?”

Worried that Su Yajing might have been deceived by an unreliable travel agency, Peng Xiaoman couldn’t help but inquire.

”It’s Mr. Zhou, who else could I contact? Besides him, I don’t know anyone else in a place like Beidou...”

”Mr. Zhou? Zhou Wang, Mr. Zhou?”

Upon hearing this, Peng Xiaoman couldn’t help but grow curious, knowing it was indeed her actual boss behind the scenes.

When Zhou Wang acquired the hotel, many of the senior hotel executives, including her, were not present, so Peng Xiaoman hadn’t met Zhou Wang yet, only hearing that he was young, self-made, with a mysterious background...

”He isn’t in Beidou; one of his assistants is picking us up.”

”Mr. Zhou isn’t here?”

Upon hearing that Zhou Wang wasn’t coming personally, Peng Xiaoman felt a bit disappointed and her anticipation dwindled.

After all, Mr. Zhou is just a local from Yunan Province; even if he has some business in a place like Beidou, it couldn’t be too significant.

After waiting for a few minutes, when no one showed up, Peng Xiaoman, looking around the roadside, couldn’t help but say, ”Miss Su, should we call to urge them...”

Before she could finish, accompanied by a gentle warning honk, several cars lined up, pulling over smoothly in front of them.

Leading the way was a Mercedes-Maybach S680, its custom body shining with a black-gold luster. Behind the S680 were five identical black Mercedes S500Ls. When lined up, the visual impact was magnified several times over.

While passersby marveled at the multimillion-dollar convoy, about a dozen young men in custom suits, possessed with a cold demeanor, stepped out of the parked cars. Led by a youth from the lead car’s front passenger seat, they faced the somewhat dumbfounded Su Yajing and bowed in unison.

”Welcome, Miss Su, to Beidou!”

Loudly welcoming her, combined with the grand scene, immediately startled Peng Xiaoman.

”Uh... thank you. Which one of you is Huang Duming?”

Although Su Yajing appeared to maintain a graceful smile, her heartbeat was racing... She had never experienced such a scene before!

But she had to admit, under the amazed gazes of passersby, her little vanity was immensely satisfied at that moment.

If she didn’t have to keep a straight face, she would have screamed with excitement...

Her brother really understands her!
