Most of the people who came to the cat café were young women, with the occasional couple. The business was doing quite well, and the hall was almost full. Even in this environment full of young women, Yu Duo was still eye-catching.

Her hair was tied in a single ponytail, and her youthful face glowed with a golden hue in the sunlight. Her simple makeup, with just brows and lipstick, gave her an irresistible charm…

The kind of charm that made you want to take a big bite.

She wore a white shirt with a small bow tie. Her bottom half was a blue-and-white checkered skirt, and below her fair thighs were knee-high white fishnet stockings with lace edges, a bit suggestive.

A classic JK outfit.

But this look really suited her, perfectly hiding some of her flaws and even making them appear as advantages with the addition of the uniform.

What amused Zhou Wang was that Yu Duo pretended not to see him, busy playing with a cat. But her nervous fingers were twisted together, and the orange cat she held had its eyes wide open, appearing even more lacking in IQ.

“What’s the matter, are you so nervous because you’re secretly meeting me behind Su Yajing’s back?”

Zhou Wang plopped down beside her, teasing.

He didn’t know why, but among all the girls he knew, only Yu Duo always made him want to tease her.

“We’re not on a date!”

Upon hearing this, Yu Duo’s face turned beet red, as if her tail had been stepped on. She released the orange tabby in her arms, ready to pinch Zhou Wang’s waist.

As expected, the small hand she extended was caught by Zhou Wang, who held it in his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.

Yu Duo’s face reddened further. She glanced at Zhou Wang and feebly struggled twice, her voice weakening. “Zhou Wang, what… what are you doing? There are so many people around…”

“Oh, you’re right.”

Zhou Wang nodded and let go of her hand.

Yu Duo didn’t expect Zhou Wang to actually let go. After a moment’s pause, she appeared inexplicably aggrieved.

“So you’re afraid of being seen too, right? I knew it, you don’t want to take responsibility…” Yu Duo mumbled softly.

“No, it’s you who didn’t want me to hold your hand. Now that I stopped, you’re not happy. What should I do then?”

Zhou Wang spoke innocently.

“Bad guy, you big bad guy…”

Yu Duo, her eyes slightly red, didn’t know what she truly wanted. She reached out again to pinch Zhou Wang’s waist, this time with a bit more force, making Zhou Wang inhale sharply in pain.

Seeing Zhou Wang’s pained expression, Yu Duo unconsciously released her hand, yet still huffed, “You faker, keep pretending!”

Interestingly, the hand she let go of hung awkwardly at her side, as if longing for something.

With his little victory, Zhou Wang didn’t continue teasing Yu Duo. He held her delicate hand again, gently stroking it, and then asked, “You said you had something for me. What is it?”

Yu Duo seemed to have forgotten that she was holding his hand again. With a slight arch of her brows, she used her concealed left hand to pull out a green gift bag from beneath her feet and placed it in front of Zhou Wang.

However, Zhou Wang didn’t immediately look at the gift bag; instead, he glanced at the Chanel bracelet on Yu Duo’s left wrist.

Tsk, she claimed it wasn’t a date… but she wore the bracelet I gave her and hoped to hide it.

Funny little Yu Duo.

Then, Zhou Wang looked at the gift bag Yu Duo took out.

“A watch?”

Seeing the “ROLEX” logo, Zhou Wang was surprised.

“Yeah… I thought your previous watch was too ugly, and it didn’t match some of your clothes. So, I figured I’d get you a new one. You gave me a bracelet, so we’re even!”

Yu Duo avoided Zhou Wang’s gaze, stammering her explanation.

“Do you want to take a look?”

“Sure.”

Zhou Wang smiled and, under Yu Duo’s expectant gaze, took out the watch box from the gift bag. He unclasped it to reveal a brand-new Rolex watch.

“Is this… a Rolex Daytona Meteorite?”

Zhou Wang recalled a fashion magazine he had seen before and quickly remembered.

“Yeah, I don’t really understand it either. Someone recommended it, saying it was a limited edition of Rolex Daytona. I thought it suited you~”

“This watch is hard to come by, isn’t it?”

Zhou Wang picked it up to examine. The meteorite dial was indeed very appealing.

“I’m not sure, my cousin is in the watch business, so I got it directly from him.”

Oh, from a watch dealer?

Zhou Wang nodded in realization. No wonder, popular models like these were hard to find, even with a hefty price.

“How much?”

“My cousin gave me a good deal, it cost five hundred and fifty thousand. Yeah, it’s not as expensive as the bracelet you got me, but that’s all the money I had. I spent all my saved-up allowances.”

Yu Duo seemed a little dejected mentioning this.

The retail price of this watch was less than 300 thousand, but its actual selling price was consistently high, even reaching 700 to 800 thousand a few years back. It had slightly decreased in recent times.

Buying it for over 500 thousand was indeed a bargain.

Zhou Wang didn’t expect Yu Duo to use her saved allowances to buy it for him, and he felt touched.

Even though, in terms of cost, it couldn’t compare to the bracelet he bought her, the value of someone’s intentions can’t just be measured by monetary worth. You have to consider how much they originally had.
