Pillar of Yita

Just like the lethal assault skill of an assassin requires a certain strength attribute as a prerequisite, these ’fake’ attributes of perception transformation are also considered effective under this prerequisite condition.

At the same time, when calculating the multiplied damage of a sneak attack in a lethal assault, the damage value provided by the strength attribute, these ’fake’ attributes transformed by perception, similarly enjoy the bonus – of course, it’s not that perception makes the Shadow Dancer ’stronger,’ but it’s considered to have struck the critical point more precisely.

Because to sense the shadow network, the Shadow Dancer’s secondary attribute must be perception, but this naturally has nothing to do with the main agility and secondary strength of the assassin class, but with this skill, this invisible barrier can be broken.

Thus, some say that the Night Owl’s Blade is actually a Shadow Dancer biased towards the assassin.

Its assassination ability might not necessarily be higher than that of an assassin, but compared to an assassin, it’s more flexible, and compared to the Shadow Dancer’s worrying melee capability, it doesn’t appear so weak, lying somewhere in between.

This is a profession quite popular among the Invokers, most Shadow Dancers choose this path after reaching Level 20 – or some Invokers aim for this profession from the start. Think about it, not weak in combat, handsome, and the profession name is filled with mystery.

People choosing this profession seem to be the natural course of events.

And the Arcane Thief – or academically named Shadow Nightingale, is another direction.

Or rather, this direction is the true traditional direction of the Shadow Dancer, further enhancing a Nightingale’s proficiency over their shadow network, with the main attributes gradually changing from originally agility as primary and perception as secondary to half agility and half perception.

The Shadow Network user, precisely refers to this profession.

And the core skill of this profession is precisely the ’Arcane Bloodline’ skill, which actually works similarly to Cunning Tactics, only it’s transforming agility into perception. Meanwhile, it further enhances the Shadow Dancer’s inherent spellcasting capabilities.

After learning this skill and further researching shadow magic, the subsequent Shadow Dancer can be considered half a Magic Guided Conductor – Shadow Mage.

However, this shadow, is not the shadow of darkness, nor does it master the non-existent dark element ability, but rather shadow magic, a branch network of wind and earth system spell network, like other magic guided arts, also falls under Angina’s jurisdiction.

So just like Magic Guided Conductors and Alchemists, Shadow Nightingale can also be considered half a believer of the God of Knowledge.

And the attribute transformation capability, ’Cunning Tactics’ and ’Arcane Bloodline’ are similarly affected by one of Eteliria’s basic laws, which strictly prohibits overlaps between two transformation attribute capabilities.

That means some special abilities can transform constitution into strength, agility into perception or intelligence, but transforming constitution into intelligence and strength, or transforming intelligence and strength into constitution simultaneously, or transforming constitution into intelligence and then into strength, are all not permitted.

A character can have more than two transformation attribute abilities, but these abilities must not interfere with each other, otherwise they mysteriously fail, and the cognitive experience spent on learning will not be refunded – because time is non-refundable.

No one knows why this is, the natives believe this is a law set by the gods, but the Invokers find no reason in it, can only believe it’s a fixed law of Eteliria.

And this determines that Cunning Tactics and Arcane Bloodline are incompatible.

This is what causes Elisa’s dilemma.

Not to mention ’Cunning Tactics’ and ’Arcane Bloodline’ themselves as core skills, require an enormous amount of cognitive experience, generally, a person can only choose one to learn around Level 20.

Miss Nightingale looked at her dagger, and whispered:

”The Night Owl’s Blade can be considered a dedicated scout, while the latter conflicts with the many spellcasters in our team.”

”Thinking it over, our team doesn’t seem to lack spellcasting professionals, at first I was able to join this team because everyone was lacking a qualified scout, so my intention is to further invest in combat and assassination aspects, a little toxicology is enough for self-defense.”

What she said wasn’t without sense.

But if it were that simple, Fang Hong knew Miss Nightingale wouldn’t have considered for so long.

He waited for her to finish speaking, then asked: ”But you prefer the Shadow Dancer, don’t you?”

Elisa froze, looking at him with some surprise.

”But...” She hesitated: ”Shouldn’t we prioritize the team over individual preference...”

But Fang Hong shook his head, disagreeing with this sentiment.

The reason being their team, while having many spellcasters, also has a unique situation – that is, a lack of frontline members, to be honest, only the Big Catfolk and Luo Hao fill those roles, in the future, if Tang Xin goes in the Combat Priest direction, she might count as half.

Additionally, Ai Xiaoxiao of the half Ranger category – but Fang Hong doesn’t believe his cousin Ai Xiaoxiao will stay in Eteliria for long, so he didn’t consider much on this aspect.

While assassins are also in the melee direction, they’re not a standalone frontline, truthfully needing to cooperate with Great Swordsmen, Polearm Warriors, Fighters for a heavily armored offensive frontline, but these three professions are lacking within their team.

However, after he finished, he added:
