Pillar of Yita

To break through the Saint’s Barrier and enter the Saint Domain in the Second World, one needs to become a Dragon Knight, Sky Knight, or use a third method.

As for levels beyond the Saint Domain, that’s another matter.

Kalatu continued to describe: ”After reaching the ’Recorder’ step, you are actually just a step away from the final step of ’Creator’, because recording imagined entities is also a form of ’recording’. However, in reality, few people have truly pierced this layer of window paper, and historically, only a handful have succeeded.”

Kalatu lowered his head again, looking at his obedient ’student’:

”As for the domain beyond ’Creator’, I am not quite sure, as I am not a Natural Historian, and this profession is overly mysterious. Perhaps one day, when you reach that step, you will find the answer.”

Gita listened with great interest, as if a light shone in her eyes: ”Mr. Kalatu, can I reach that step?”

”Perhaps not,” Kalatu replied bluntly: ”To reach this step, one not only needs talent but also a certain amount of luck. However, if one doesn’t try, how many can know what they truly can achieve? So you don’t need to consider where your limit lies, just follow this path to the end.”

This conversation sounded quite philosophical, and both Gita and Luo Yu nodded.

Only Tianlan was disdainful of it, feeling that this Archmage was speaking mystically.

Kalatu paused, then continued: ”After hearing this, you should have a certain understanding of the Natural Historian, approximately knowing where this profession’s strength originates from. So, Gita, do you now understand where the problem lies?”

Gita thought for a moment, nodded with a semblance of understanding: ”I have some ideas, teacher.” For the first time, she used this honorific.

Kalatu asked noncommittally: ”Then tell me.”

”I should still be at the ’Narrator’ stage right now, right, teacher?” Gita replied softly: ”At my stage, displaying the power of the Magic Guided Book lies in describing the characteristics of the entities to be shown with the shortest possible spells.”

Kalatu nodded slightly, commenting with some approval: ”But the Magic Entities you display are not created out of thin air. Ether Magic Power is always constant; the strength you exhibit requires a corresponding payment of magic power and material. However, the biggest difference between the Magic Guided Book and Summoning Spells is that what you display doesn’t need to be a physical entity. A Summoner can’t summon half a lion, half a horse, or half a dragon, but the power exhibited by the Magic Guided Book can.”

”This gives the Natural Historian unparalleled power—”

”Moreover,” Kalatu continued to answer: ”In the ’Narrator’ stage—indeed, until becoming a ’Creator’, the ’entities’ displayed by the Natural Historian must comply with general rules. To give an example—

If you summon a dragon, during the duration of that ’entity’, it is a true dragon, not only possessing all the power and features of a giant dragon but also its weaknesses. You cannot choose one aspect and ignore the other.”

”So,” he paused and emphasized: ”Your ’Fmień al meiowi.’ (Fire and Sword) spell—the Dragon Flame can indeed burn everything, but I only need a simple Gold Melting and Stone Disintegration Spell to destroy the sword’s bearer, and the flame spell attached to it will naturally dissipate.”

Gita realized suddenly: ”Then what should I do, teacher?”

”Like this.”

Kalatu extended his hand, also creating a longsword with flames rolling upon it.

He looked up at Luo Yu and spoke: ”Luo Yu, use Gold Melting Spell on it.”

Luo Yu nodded, picked up his Elementalist Magic Wand, and cast the spell as instructed. But a moment later, he looked surprised: ”Wait, the system indicates that no metal substance was detected.”

Kalatu raised his hand, and the sword in it suddenly transformed into a long flame whip, striking a wooden stake with a ’snap’, sending it flying. A ball of fire appeared on the surface of the stake, rolling over ten meters, before the flames gradually extinguished.

Except for Tianlan, who was watching in confusion.

Both Gita and Luo Yu looked at this scene in shock.

”Is that... the bearer of the Wind Element?”

Kalatu nodded.

”Add a descriptive phrase with a spell to forge the sword body from elements,” Kalatu replied: ”This is the simplest method—Mortal’s longswords are usually metallic, or at most stone, all listed in the Gold Melting and Stone Disintegration Spell attack list. Bone and wooden materials cannot attach Dragon Flame, but an Elemental Sword is not among these.”

”Elemental Spells are best used with implicit casting,” he continued to instruct: ”There are five types of elements, and opponents may not have the opportunity to test them all. Ultimately, you still need to calculate how much Ether Magic Power the three spells and implicit casting will consume.”

”This is another misconception—just as we said before, the Magic Entities you display are not created out of thin air. The strength you exhibit requires a corresponding payment of magic power and material. So assessing your needs and abilities to achieve balance is crucial.”

Kalatu concluded with a line: ”Whether it’s Magic Guided Art, Elemental Spells or the Magic Guided Book’s power, a perfect spell does not exist, only the most suitable spell.”
