Pillar of Yita

Not to mention, behind all of this lay even more complex interests: the entanglements between Invokers and Invokers, Invokers and Natives, and Natives and Natives, all intertwined and complicated. Even the Stargate Port could not quell the confrontation between the Royalist Party and the Southern Nobles, let alone someone like him?

He had a bit of a reputation in Fanric, Dolifen, and even Fenris, but it was merely a fleeting fame. In this matter, his influence might not even rival that of Sophie, and what say would even a Princess of Silver Weslan have?

Fang Hong fell silent for a moment.

Recently, everything had been smooth sailing, leading him to believe that the Seven Seas Travel Group had finally found its footing. Of course, they could not compare to those Grand Guilds, but at least they had the foundation to establish themselves in this world.

Especially after the defeat of the Wanderers, the matter of the Dragon Witch seemed to reach a temporary standstill. Although they hadn’t truly defeated the other side and resolved the issue of Dragon King Leifgard entirely, their opponent was also gravely injured and would require considerable time to recover. And time, it could be said, was on their side.

But once the situation changed, everything abruptly spiraled downward, leaving them no time to react. In fact, there was no opportunity to correct any of it.

He had placed his hopes in the Duke Phoenix, hoping that the Duke would continue to play a pivotal role, believing that as long as he remained, the situation in the Southern Region would not descend into chaos. And the confrontation between the Nobles and the New King, by the example of Colin Ishurian’s history, would inevitably not persist long.

As for how both sides would ultimately compromise, that was not his concern—

By then, he might have already left the First World, taking Miss Ship’s Officer to search for her father.

Yet, unexpectedly, the issue arose on the Invoker’s side first.

Hilveld looked at him, her long lashes fluttered softly, as if seeing through his thoughts, she gently said, ”Lord Captain, the immediate priority is to first confirm the authenticity of this news with the Elfendo Council, with your teacher.”

Fang Hong nodded.

This was indeed what he was thinking at the moment.

However, the communication method between the Seven Seas Travel Group and the Elfendo Council relied solely on Linen, who unfortunately was a mad alchemy researcher whose communicator was offline every few days. So, most of the time, they relied on Magic Messengers to convey information.

The Magic Messenger is a creation of Magic Guided Art, capable of traversing the Ether Realm to connect two distant places. While less convenient than the Transmission Crystal, it also has fewer usage restrictions, and can be used directly as long as it’s not in a magic-prohibited area.

The Magic Pigeons they often used were one such type.

However, Magic Pigeons often went missing for various reasons, so for urgent information like this, Fang Hong sent out three or four of them in one go, confident that at least one would arrive. Though Magic Messengers ignored distance in the Ether Realm, it normally took half a week to a week to reach their destination, and with a sense of caution, he sent another message to Linen.

Just in case Linen suddenly decided to come online, it might save quite a bit of unnecessary time.

After completing these tasks one by one, Fang Hong’s heart slowly settled.

There were some things they couldn’t prevent; all they could do was prepare to minimize the impact of these events. From its founding, the Seven Seas Travel Group had faced many crises; there was no reason they could overcome past challenges, only to falter now.

Compared to the dire straits in Fenris, the current situation hadn’t yet hit rock bottom. While the Dragon Worship Sect might stir the waters, they could also intervene.

On reflection, the current circumstances were still better than when they had first started intervening in the Dragon Worship Sect’s schemes.

With this realization, Fang Hong became completely calm, and although true and false rumors began to fly all over the community a few days later, he remained unconcerned, quietly waiting for further news from the Elfendo Council.

And it was at this very moment that a message came from Princess Rupert.

The Royal House of Penelope sent word that someone from the Queen’s maternal family agreed to their request and was willing to take the time to meet with them.

Upon receiving this message, Fang Hong temporarily put aside all irrelevant matters, understanding that the Seven Seas Travel Group’s leisure time in Tansnier had come to an end. They would soon have to reinvest themselves in the mission of the Grand Princess once more.

...

A young girl sat by the window, bracing her chin with a hand on the wooden table, gazing absentmindedly at the street scene outside.

Her hair, black as ebony, fell like a straight line beside her cheek, separating the porcelain-like skin, forming a distinct boundary. She blinked her long lashes lightly, her eyes, stark black and white, seemed to hold a bright gleaming light within.

This drew many passersby to turn their heads and glance in her direction.

It was a modest roadside tavern—in the Southern Region, such places were countless, but this one was slightly special—it had a large openwork window facing the street, quite rare in Eteliria, resembling the style of an Elf.
