Pillar of Yita

”At that time, the leaders among mortals, top scholars, and alchemists must have known some inside stories.”

”Especially the alchemists, as the first students of the Numelin civilization, they had the closest relation with the elves, they wouldn’t be completely kept in the dark.”

Upon hearing this answer, Kalatu turned to look at Gita.

He asked again, ”And then?”

Gita glanced at Fang Hong somewhat uneasily, but under the encouraging gaze of her captain, she took a deep breath and mustered the courage to respond, ”I, I believe that the forebears of mortals must have reached some kind of covenant with the elves, which now leaves the legacy information fragmented and ambiguous.”

Kalatu’s gaze fell on Gita’s Magic Guided Book.

”Guryle’s Magic Guided Book is in your hands,” he looked at Gita warmly and asked, ”Young girl, are you a Natural Historian?”

Gita timidly nodded.

”An excellent Natural Historian doesn’t necessarily need strong magic power, but must have extensive knowledge and an endlessly inquisitive heart,” the Archmage smiled slightly, ”Very good, such successors are not common in the Silver Tower today.”

Gita blushed from the overt praise.

Kalatu looked at her again and asked, ”Young girl, what is your name?”

”Gi... Gita.”

”Gita, would you like to be my student?” the Archmage asked, ”Although I’m not a Natural Historian, Guryle was my close friend in life, I believe he would agree to me taking on a student for him.”

Miss Natural Historian adorably opened her mouth, staring blankly at this legendary Magic Guided Conductor, momentarily almost doubting her ears.

Everyone in the room was shocked, and they couldn’t help but turn their gaze on Gita—this was an opportunity that fell from the heavens. Before them, the black-haired middle-aged man had achieved the status of Sir Roban a century ago, and his strength as a Dragon Slaying Magic Guided Conductor was even higher.

Not to mention that a hundred years later today, his strength soared to what extent, probably only he himself knew. Not long ago, he teamed up with the Sorcerer-Ghoul Tang De, easily trapping the Wanderer, although the Wanderer’s strength was not in top condition, but it was telling.

Fang Hong saw that Gita was already stunned, so he signaled Hilveld to the side.

The Noble Lady laughed a little, and tapped lightly on Gita’s thin vest.

Gita startled and finally reacted, nodding repeatedly, ”I, can I really?”

Kalatu gently nodded in agreement.

Fang Hong looked at the two, thinking Gita finally found a lucky break. Having a teacher like Kalatu, as long as the Invoker herself is not too bad, she will be ranked among first or second-tier Invokers. And Gita certainly isn’t of the inferior class, one might even say she is highly talented.

After all, she was one out of a thousand chosen as the inheritor of the Magic Guided Book in Tabopolis.

But he looked at Kalatu, who had said he was merely an avatar, which once activated wouldn’t last long. He wondered how Kalatu planned to teach Gita.

This legendary Magic Guided Conductor had already turned his attention back to the previous issue, ”Regarding the whereabouts of the elves and the logic of history, Gita’s answer was not entirely correct, but not far off. In fact, it is one of my guesses.”

”Because throughout my investigation of Alte, I discovered some clues.”

”The original owner of Alte, Tang De’s grandfather Maryland, in his lifetime acquired a Holy Relic—concerning the origins of this relic, you should all be aware—specifically, the Holy Sword Moa. Aside from Morning Light, the status of the four Dragon Slaying Holy Swords is not as high as the three Holy Relics left by the elves, but they are relics from the Numelin Era.”

”In the in-depth investigation into this matter, I found that the four Holy Swords, along with Morning Light, Hailin Crown, Hand of Philosophy, and Eternal Emblem, all had a peculiar power sealed within them during their forging.”

”This power is said to come from the Shining Sea as prophesied by the Lizardmen.”

”Pale Glory!” Fang Hong instinctively responded.

Kalatu nodded.

He continued, ”In fact, the source of Maryland’s power indeed came from Pale Glory.”

”Wait, Mr. Kalatu,” Fang Hong couldn’t help but interrupt, ”Are you saying Maryland’s power is of the same origin as the Pale Glory within me?”

He was deeply shocked, because the intense dark power in Maryland seemed entirely different from the Pale Glory within him. But Kalatu explained, ”I’m referring to the source of Maryland’s power. Much of the power he acquired later naturally came from Lifegard and Andro.”

”Are you saying Maryland initially had the same Pale Glory power as me?”

”He was far worse than you,” Kalatu looked at him and replied, ”His Pale Glory merely originated from a faint residue within Holy Sword Moa, while yours comes from half of Hailin Crown. However, Maryland did unquestionably collect the power of Pale Glory.”

”But what exactly is the power of Pale Glory?”

Fang Hong was filled with questions about the sporadic yet uncontrollable power within him.

”According to my conjecture,” Kalatu said, ”it should be the essence of Light’s Ether, a power closely resembling the fundamental Starlight, even purer than divinity itself—in fact, I am unclear on how the gods managed to seal such power into these four relics.”

”Merely, the reason why the elves and gods left these few relics in Eteliria, after long investigation, I believe I have some clues.”

”They were not left for mortals to imagine as a strength against the Dark Giant Dragon.”

”Rather...”

”For dealing with the arrival of the Star of Calamity.”

Upon hearing this answer, Fang Hong froze for a moment.

He had not processed any reaction before a Light Page naturally unfolded before him.

’Event knowledge concluded, experience gained — 75000 points.’

’New event catalog acquired — Elf Relic.’

’High-level event catalog updated, Third Calamity Star arrival.’

A stream of silver light slowly flowed from the Light Page, outlining each word on it.

And Fang Hong, he just quietly watched the scene unfold.
