Pillar of Yita

In the darkness, Fang Hong heard the sound of Lizardmen claws tapping on the ground, gradually moving away. The retreat of Silver Weslan seemed smoother than he had expected, and the Night Lizard People had not caused much trouble. However, the sudden appearance of ’Queen Ming’ beside him still caught his attention, but it was clear that she would not answer his questions, and Sophie simply shrugged her shoulders without explanation, leaving Fang Hong helpless.

Fortunately, he had a habit of putting aside things he couldn’t figure out for the time being.

The Night Lizard People had left, but that didn’t mean they had let their guard down; this was a species accustomed to hunting in the underground darkness, and their habit of hunting in the gloom had taught them to always remain cautious and vigilant.

”Time to set off, standing here dazed is not a good idea,” came a whispering, somewhat teasing voice from the darkness.

Seeing that Fang Hong still hadn’t moved, she couldn’t help but ask, ”What’s the matter? Are you scared of your first solo fight?”

Fang Hong shook his head.

”That’s right, don’t be scared, big sister is with you,” Ming said in her flippant way, treating him like a child. Sophie looked away, pretending to watch the sky, and Fang Hong merely smiled slightly; both were aware of Her Majesty’s style, and after the initial tension and excitement had passed, he started to feel somewhat familiar.

It was like a long passage of time.

He was in his childhood when he first heard about the vastness beyond the Stargate.

Afterward, he used every means to get close to it, to understand it. As days went by, he grew up, and names well-known to him, like the stars dotting the night sky, immense oceans of stars, attracted the inexhaustible curiosity of mankind, propelling him step by step down this path.

He carefully approached the brilliant Starlight, standing alongside them.

It was a novel time, filled with simplicity and carefree days—

And this rustling, somewhat somber voice was one among many memories of that time, accompanying him through numerous days, through the sweat and tears of defeat, and through the comfort of success and joy.

Complex and intertwined feelings seemed to overlap each other.

Listening, Her Majesty taught him with a familiar tone:

”A Combat Artisan must learn to fight independently sooner or later, and for ten years people have endlessly debated over focusing more on offense or defense. But, in fact, once you reach a certain height, you’ll find that the first element in dominating a combat is always the ability of perception—”

”First spot your enemy, then you can attack the enemy—those who spot first attack first, those who find later get attacked.”

”The art of hiding and discovering on the battlefield is the first lesson a Combat Artisan must learn, the good attacker moves above the heavens, the good defender hides beneath the earth, and your enemies are not static. As a Combat Artisan, you should always be aware of your weaknesses in strength, agility, and enemy perception,”

”Only by understanding these weaknesses, will you know how to use your extended ’vision’ to compensate for your deficiencies and what we call the flexibility of a Combat Artisan, which comes from our robust computing capabilities and intellect.”

”Merely using Multi-Control is a mediocre strategy.”

Fang Hong could almost imagine this fairy-like Her Majesty winking at him as she said, ”This is big sister’s secret technique, you know. I wouldn’t necessarily tell those idiots I teach—my ultra-secret recipe, so listen carefully!”

If someone unaware of Her Majesty’s identity might scoff at her grandiose speech, those who knew understood that the so-called ’idiots’ referred to today’s top Combat Artisans in the second world.

Because she was Ming, the Construct Queen, the inventor of Swift Tactics, who became famous at fifteen during the national high school league, ventured to the second world at seventeen, and three years later, became the top Combat Artisan among God Slayers, the pillar of a new dynasty.

She wasn’t the chairman of the God Slayers just because she was uninterested in administrative management, devoting herself solely to developing and researching the abilities of Combat Artisans. Most of the master craftsmen and Pseudo Dragon Knights from God Slayers were taught by her.

Silver Fox Flying Bird, Holy September, Sword Bearer Black Crown, each a top Combat Artisan capable of standing alone in their country?

Even Loofah had once been her student.

Now, this Her Majesty was only twenty-eight years old, but with her qualifications, she firmly held the title of the top Combat Artisan in the country. Some said she was on par with the King of Grey, FOX, but unfortunately, the two had never directly competed.

As for Loofah, as a holder of two major Combat Artisan crowns (Continental League and Combat Artisan Invitational Champion), he might now have an advantage over her in terms of age, possibly even outperforming her in operation. But as a student, everyone knew he still had a long way to go compared to Ming.

Only she might have taken a different path from her mentor back in those days.

Simply put, this Her Majesty might not be the number one Combat Artisan in the country anymore, but she is definitely the top Combat Artisan Mentor. Of course, Fang Hong was well aware of her capricious nature, so he took her last words with a grain of salt.

If anyone truly believed her, they would probably be a real fool.

Because Her Majesty’s unreliable and juvenile antics were second to none, even compared to Xiangzi’s presence.
