Pillar of Yita

Why would it protect this island then?

More importantly, by sealing them, the victors, on the seventh level for five hours, this action undoubtedly intensified the competition below — but wasn’t the other party’s purpose to let more people reach the thirteenth level?

Now the only remaining issue is —

What exactly are the other party’s purpose and motives?

And in this dark underground, who are the hunters? And who are the prey?

Fang Hong couldn’t help but think of the Alice sisters, the only thing he didn’t understand was why they had helped him earlier, aiding him and Hilveld in escaping from the grasp of the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team.

What exactly was their relationship?

Thinking of this, Fang Hong instinctively opened his communicator; the Communication Crystal barely lit up when Nikopolas’s face, Princess of Silver Weslan with deeply furrowed brows, appeared on the other side of the Light Page.

And she seemed somewhat anxious, immediately saying upon seeing him, ”You’ve come at just the right time, Ade. Have you finished dealing with your affairs?”

”What’s wrong?” Fang Hong was startled, vaguely sensing that something had happened.

”We encountered some attacks, these things resemble those you mentioned — I mean, the Dragon’s Servant,” Sophie answered, ”If you’ve finished your affairs, you’d better come over and take a look.”

”...” Fang Hong was somewhat silent.

He had jokingly wondered if there might be a second Dark Dragon in this world.

But he had never imagined that his words would actually come true — not only might there be a second Dark Dragon in this world, but its identity might be more hidden than Nikopolas.

It was just a moment of distraction.

But Fang Hong knew time was of the essence. He nodded immediately and said, ”I’m coming over, and there might be some things I need to tell you, but it’s not clear here, I’ll explain when I get there — and be careful, those Dark Creatures are hard to kill, try to protect our Priest.”

On the other side of the Light Page, Sophie nodded slightly, then closed the communication page.

She paused for a moment, then turned around and looked up at a middle-aged man — more precisely, the projection of a middle-aged man wearing a black trench coat, who despite his age, showed no signs of weakening harmonization with Starlight.

The man carried two black War Halberds, his eyebrows angled into his temples sharply like two swords, his temples slightly grayed but his bearing still as spirited as in his younger days, not losing any of his past vigor; even as a standard middle-aged uncle, he would probably still draw the gaze of many young girls on the street.

If Fang Hong were here, he would be somewhat surprised, for this middle-aged man was neither the current Chairman of Silver Weslan nor a high-ranking member of the Club behind Silver Weslan, those were often exposed on TV and in communities, and Fang Hong would not fail to recognize them.

But in front of this middle-aged man, the Princess of Silver Weslan seemed a bit uneasy.

The middle-aged man didn’t care about Sophie, just looking in the direction the Light Page had disappeared, then asked, ”Is that the kid who caused your accident?”

Sophie frowned, explaining, ”It was just an accident.”

”Then why does he wear such a strange mask, afraid to see me? A man should be bold enough to face up —”

”He’s always worn that mask,” Sophie responded irritably, ”...besides, it’s for some other reasons, related to the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team.”

”He didn’t have to use Mithril, did he? Is something wrong with this guy?”

”Dad,” Sophie got a bit angry, ”What sort of mask he likes to wear is his freedom, are you being ridiculous or what?”

The middle-aged man shrugged, ”Alright, onto business. I heard you traded the Angel of Silver Weslan to him; surely you haven’t used my influence, have you?”

”You’re thinking too much,” Sophie frowned, ”What influence do you have? It was a fair trade, and frankly, Silver Weslan got the better end of it. When have I ever made a bad deal?”

The middle-aged man glanced at her, then smiled, ”Well, my daughter should of course be so capable. Even allowing Silver Weslan to have you was a big advantage for them.”

”Dad, what are you talking about?” Sophie’s face rarely turned red, and she glanced at the Elementalist girl beside her: ”There are other people here, keep spouting nonsense and I’ll really get mad.”

The Elementalist girl seemed accustomed to such scenes, merely smiling.

”I’m not boasting,” the middle-aged man shook his head, ”Non-aligned individuals are rare now, ah, people are not the same as in the old days —”

”Su Changfeng!”

”Alright, alright, enough said...” The middle-aged man named Su Changfeng awkwardly touched his nose, ”But recently, indeed, there’s such a guy who has caused us a lot of trouble.”

Sophie was taken aback, ”Non-aligned? What happened?”

Su Changfeng was startled, then realized his slip of the tongue and quickly coughed, ”Don’t ask, it’s confidential.”

”Tsk,” the Princess of Silver Weslan sniffed indignantly, ”I’m not interested.”

Su Changfeng shook his head, then said, ”Alright, enough chitchat. Girl, your people wiped out a whole group of the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team, and the opponents have complained to your higher-ups. The people of Silver Weslan couldn’t handle you, so they came to me. Tell me, what exactly happened?”
