Pillar of Yita

”A Fairy Type Knight Construct? Is there such a category?”

Just as this thought flashed through Fang Hong’s mind, he heard Tianlan’s scream from ahead, ”Brother Ade, watch out behind you!” He turned around, and what first emerged through the dense fog was a pair of gray wings, enormous and jagged, swooping downwards.

The wind pressure swept across, pulling the swirling dust into a straight line from front to back, flipping up the hoods of both of them at the same time. In the parted black dust, a pair of golden-red eyes appeared, along with two pairs of long, fierce horns, and a huge mouth full of fangs. A colossal beast was breaking through the fog.

”Roar—!”

A dragon’s roar was deafening.

As if by mutual understanding, both of them dove forward, the strong wind grazing overhead. Only then did Fang Hong adjust his flapping hood and lift his head, just in time to see a long tail disappearing into the mist. The giant dragon had already flown past, and the parted fog continued to roll forward, drawing a bright golden line through the darkness.

It was sweeping across the dome, circling back—

Wu Di, whose level was higher than Fang Hong’s and who had better balance, got up first, grabbed Fang Hong’s hand, and pulled him up. ”Ade?” he called out, then ran ahead.

Fang Hong shook his head and also chased after him.

The giant dragon circled within the hall, having already flown half a circle. Tianlan ahead saw this scene clearly and waved her arms frantically, shouting, ”Run, this way!”

They found a corridor there, leading in the direction of the kitchen. At this moment, Hilveld and Xiesta, the servant and master duo, Liuli Yue carrying Parker, as well as Atira and Red Leaf, had all arrived; only he and Wu Di were left.

The two ran desperately forward, but because of the difference in levels, Fang Hong gradually fell behind. He looked back, and in the mist, seven or eight Dragonmen were already in pursuit, the nearest one only a few steps away. He could even see the scales on the chaser’s face and those cold pupils.

The Dragonman let out a deep hiss and lunged forward, clawing at him.

Fang Hong’s hair stood on end, and he instinctively grabbed something and threw it backward—a streak of golden light flew precisely, striking the attacker’s cheek. The Dragonman howled in pain, turned its head mid-air, lost balance, and crashed heavily to the ground.

Everyone was almost stunned.

For a moment, even Tianlan nearly forgot to make a sound.

Only then did Fang Hong realize that what he had thrown was a Clockwork Fairy. The Clockwork Fairy rolled backward, landing behind several Dragonmen. He hurriedly reached out his hand, and the Clockwork Fairy buzzed as it flew back, colliding mid-air with another Dragonman’s ankle, knocking it askew and tumbling heavily on the ground.

Fang Hong then turned back, stretched out his hand, and ’snap’ firmly caught the dented Brass Sphere.

Meanwhile, Wu Di ahead had leaped and rolled into the corridor; Atira then turned back, rushed to him, grabbed his hand, and yanked him through.

Fang Hong hadn’t even reacted when he felt himself soaring through the air, landing in the corridor. The Elf Girl outside also lunged forward, toppling onto him. Behind them, a low howl sounded as a dragon just missed landing on the ground, heavily falling outside the corridor, its long tail sweeping through the mist, turning around, and then spewing a bright blaze into the corridor.

Golden flames swept over, the temperature soared abruptly, Fang Hong felt someone pull his shoulder, dragging him and Miss Atira backward, but the Elf Girl held him so tightly that he couldn’t tell which way was which.

It was only after a while that he saw a light in front of him, and the first thing he saw was Tianlan’s somewhat anxious face. The young French girl looked left and right before asking, ”Brother Ade, oh, how did you hurt your forehead?”

Fang Hong shook his head, it was just from the fall.

He looked back—everyone else was there, including the newly joined servant and master pair of Hilveld, along with Hudi, Gita, and Luo Yu, which relieved him.

Atira came over, adjusted his forehead up and down, and a shade of relief crossed her emerald eyes: ”It’s nothing serious.”

”At least there’s one piece of good news here, it didn’t get in.”

Red Leaf’s words shifted everyone’s attention toward her.

The group turned and realized that the dragon indeed hadn’t entered the corridor; it lingered behind the blazing flames, occasionally stopping to fix its shimmering golden-red eye on them.

”Haha, it’s too narrow here for it,” the Papalarian laughed loudly. He stood with his hands on his hips and legs apart, boasting, ”See, it’s a dragon, but it has no way to deal with me!”

However, Gita wasn’t as optimistic; instead, he was a bit puzzled. ”Then why is it staying there?”

”Who knows?” Red Leaf shrugged and cracked a not-so-funny joke, ”Maybe it has a special fondness for Mr. Papalarian, I’ve heard some dragons have peculiar tastes.”

This scared Parker so much that he quickly moved a few steps backward, hiding behind Fang Hong.

But of all the group, only Fang Hong felt a bit guilty.

He felt this scene was somewhat familiar—

He could be sure that the Dragon Horn—or rather, its owner, must have some mysterious connection to the half Crown Mark in his hand. Earlier in the Phantom Realm, he had heard its voice.
