Pillar of Yita

Everyone saw the scene where Fang Hong’s Clockwork Fairy suddenly rolled out. The Immortal Worm was about to mock him with a few words, but just as he opened his mouth, he couldn’t close it—

The Clockwork Fairy that had rolled out suddenly hovered in midair in an almost impossible posture, reversed its spin state, and adjusted back to its normal posture in a bizarre manner.

The Immortal Worm couldn’t even understand how its wings were operating. It seemed to violate the basic physical laws of this world.

There was only one thing in this world that could perform these calculations and reactions.

The Clockwork Fairy stopped in midair, and Miss Tata’s calm voice came from Fang Hong’s mind: ”If we want to enter the top four, we must catch up the time, Mr. Knight, please follow me—”

The Clockwork Fairy suddenly transformed into a streak of golden light, shooting forward.

”So fast...”

Even Fang Hong himself couldn’t help but think that.

He knew that the Artificial Dragon Soul possessed the most powerful computing capability in this world, being the ultimate manipulator in the Dragon Knight Rigging, controlling a small Clockwork Fairy was naturally no difficult task.

But he had not expected it to be this powerful.

Yet this only stirred up the competitive spirit in the young man’s heart. He gritted his teeth, casting aside all sounds and things around him, including the mark on the back of his hand that was heating up: ”Miss Tata, here I come!”

The Clockwork Fairy’s four wings suddenly spread out.

It followed with a streak of golden light, tracking closely behind. Everyone saw just two lights, flying out of the bend one after the other.

”One minute eleven seconds,” the Dwarf Referee pressed the copper-shell stopwatch.

The first half took fifty-four seconds, while the more difficult second half took a total of seventeen seconds.

The scene fell silent.

If Fang Hong were a top War Profession Professional from a second world, perhaps people might have already guessed a possibility — Dragon Knight.

But he was merely a newcomer.

Even the Immortal Worm could only mutter in a daze: ”Cheating... this has to be cheating... that posture isn’t possible!”

Others felt the same way.

The moment the two Clockwork Fairies crossed the finish line, they rolled onto the ground. Fang Hong was nearly drained, like he had been fished out of the water, unable to even retract the Clockwork Fairy anymore.

He leaned on the table and gasped for air, checking the mark on the back of his hand first. But the mark was perfectly normal, neither glowing nor heating up any more.

Fang Hong looked around somewhat curiously, as if no one had noticed what had just happened.

”An illusion?” he wondered quietly.

It was then that he noticed Hudi not far away, waving at him.

”Well done!” Only Hudi in the crowd had an elated expression, shouting to him, ”Your next opponent is that fat guy, give him a good lesson for me!”

Only then did Fang Hong realize he had made it through the second round. But he habitually checked his equipment, his heart sinking slightly. He moved his Flexible Track Gloves, only to discover that of the last two Silver Rails, one more had broken.

It seemed the manipulation pressure had been too great, far exceeding its normal operational load.

Fang Hong stood there, looking at the gloves that were almost beyond repair, momentarily at a loss for what to do next. Even Tianlan excitedly shouting at him from the other side went unheard.

It was then that an abrupt, final voice rang out:

”Cheating!” The fat man, who had been closely watching every move of Fang Hong, suddenly screamed, ”His gloves must be flawed, referee sir, I demand that his gloves be checked!”

Fang Hong turned around, staring dumbfounded at the guy.
