Pillar of Yita

The young man’s equipment was just too shabby, and his level was excessively low—others might not know, but as the organizer with access to military-shared information, he was well aware of Fang Hong’s real level.

He couldn’t help but stroke his pointed beard and sighed, ”Two contestants have already dropped out, including a seeded player in the main competition. If you drop out too, it’ll be hard to carry on with today’s match.”

Fang Hong understood his dilemma, but was powerless to help.

Just as he was about to say something to comfort him, a somewhat abrupt voice interjected:

”Yo, isn’t this the former Blind Man’s Adventure Team?”

Fang Hong was startled, turned around, and saw two ’old acquaintances’ walking over from the direction of the main competition area—the same young man who had bumped into Gita and Wu Di. The former was still cheerily waving at them:

”Good evening, Mr. and Miss Blind Man.”

Tianlan was already extremely unhappy with these two guys, and almost died of anger upon hearing this. She slammed the table loudly, ”Who are you calling blind?”

She slapped a nearby soup basin so hard that the mashed potatoes inside splattered over a Papalarian Crossbowman’s face. The latter, who was patting his belly while sitting, had not anticipated this move at all and toppled backward from his chair, covered by the basin.

The young man, as if it was the most natural thing, said, ”Well, if you walk without seeing, what else would you be if not blind?”

”Who are you saying walks without seeing? It was clearly—”

”Of course, I’m talking about you guys. Haven’t you heard the saying, ’A good dog doesn’t block the path’? God, you treat that Emerald Bird α like it’s some precious treasure.

Remember not to block the road when you’re next awe-struck by ’rare treasure,’” the young man mockingly interrupted her, emphasizing the words ’rare treasure’ heavily, nearly causing Tianlan’s lungs to burst with rage, wishing she could rush over and fight these jerks right then. But Atira held her back and said calmly, ”Gentlemen, there’s no point in fighting over this.

Let’s talk the way adventurers do—”

The young man was taken aback, ”You want to duel with me?”

He looked Atira up and down, shook his head, ”Madam, you have Hailin Spear as your war gear, right? I see you’re only around Level 7 or 8; you can’t possibly be my match. Never mind, I don’t bully women, please step back.”

Atira wanted to say something, but another voice came from behind her.

”I’ll fight you.”

The young man was slightly startled, just about to ask who you are, what gives you the right to fight me? But when he looked up, all he saw were two flashes of silver hurtling towards him.

”Damn!”

He broke into a cold sweat, hastily rolled backward, incredulous. Was this still Traveler’s Rest? How could there be idiots here who would swing at each other without a word?

Was it that the opponent was too arrogant, or could Mazak no longer wield a knife?

Thinking this, he rolled awkwardly along the table, crashing dishes to the ground, even knocking over a candlestick, barely dodging Sword Hong’s attack.

But the young man didn’t feel lucky at all.

He was covered in grease and soup, with a few vegetable leaves hanging from his head, almost going mad: ”You, you actually ambushed me here?”

He had always been ruthless around Rainbow Bay, never in his wildest dreams expecting to meet someone even more impulsive than himself. Furious, he immediately donned his Control Gauntlets and prepared to retaliate, moving the Magic Buoy towards Fang Hong, and a massive Type III Walker had already ’bang’ flipped a table and charged between him and Fang Hong.

But he had no opportunity for further action, as the nearby Dwarf Guards had already reacted, rushing over to pin down both men.

”Let me go!” the young man shouted furiously. ”He attacked first!”

It was only then that the Dwarf chief referee finally ran out, shouting, ”Stop, stop, stop, no attacks on contestants outside the ring or attacking each other!”

At these words, Fang Hong and the young man both stopped.

”What, he’s a contestant?” Both almost asked in unison.

The Dwarf chief referee looked at them, a bit helplessly nodded.

”Great, you are so dead!” the young man said loudly.

Without another word, Fang Hong also addressed the Dwarf chief referee, ”Mr. Referee, I take back my words, I want to continue in this competition!”

”Huh?”

Everyone was stunned.

Only Gita seemed to have predicted this scene, shaking her head with a sigh while holding her forehead in a very adult-like manner.
