”Is that multi-control?”

```
People asked each other privately, everyone turned their heads, some looking confused, while others shook their heads.
”That’s multi-control, isn’t it?” Blood Night Demon Moon typed word by word.
R fell silent for a moment, then answered, ”No, Walkers don’t need control in a weightless state, however—”
”However?”
”However, I’m not sure if he did it on purpose.”
Red Leaf’s mind wasn’t cluttered with such thoughts.
Angered, she saw Fang Hong’s responding smile as a silent mockery, gritted her teeth, and with a swipe of her hand, the Core Crystal in a high-temperature state once again emitted two fiery rays.
Two beams of red light swept past the Walker, one after the other, causing Fang Hong to be taken aback: ”So aggressive?” He quickly slid the Walker to the right as it landed, dodging the first strike. But facing the second strike, he merely tilted the center of gravity, avoiding the vital parts, allowing the beam to pierce through the Walker’s Shell from the upper left to the lower right.
Then, a golden-red flare was left on the ground not far away, its residual heat lingering for a long time—
This was ’Sword Hong’s’ first direct hit; the high-heat-melted shell still glowed red, the visual-link crystal was damaged, and the second set of gears on the right side was also injured, rendering the right secondary foot inoperative.
Fang Hong methodically cut open the panel—speed and balance suffered a 20% loss, speed -4, balance cap -2, including a 70% functional loss in the right secondary foot, reducing the evasion cap by 30.
But after adjusting the center of gravity and balance from the second strike, the Evasion Value returned to a safe baseline of 80.
As for Durability, there were still 25 points left.
The non-core parts could still withstand several more attacks.
Beams of red light pierced through the sky like rain of fire, but Fang Hong’s decision to restore Evasion Value, despite the damage, played a decisive role in this round of attack.
Using up the last bit of Evasion Value, the Walker also managed to carve out a path of survival amidst the beams of light.
Another scrape was added to its shell, but it was of little consequence.
It was just that Red Leaf’s torrential assault had almost made Fang Hong think he miscalculated, but after recounting the temperature rise, he found that the results hadn’t changed—two Flame Rays at eight degrees, two Magical Spears at twenty-four degrees, at least fifty degrees from two bursts of golden rain, and twenty degrees from the Gravity Trap and Anti-Gravity, plus the initial temperature, had long exceeded the alert level.
Fang Hong couldn’t help but glance at Red Leaf’s Flexible Construct; the Annihilator’s octahedron-shaped shell was emitting white steam, indicating that the core water Cooling System must be operating beyond capacity. Even taking into account the cooling efficiency, they were already close to the critical point.
”Not controlling the temperature yet?” he wondered to himself.
Red Leaf also finally realized that her temperature control had deviated.
This was actually her usual style, but normally, after a round of fierce assault, her opponents—even the instructors—should be at their limits by this point.
But the problem now was that the opponent was obviously far from being at that stage.
Red Leaf frowned tightly, but still gave up the next Overload. Once entering the critical high-temperature state, she would only have one chance to strike, but she found herself unsure if she could finish the Combat in one go.
Her style tended toward aggression but was not reckless—
”Switch to defense?”
Red Leaf calmed down and assessed the situation—her disadvantage lay in the fact that she had already lost the temperature, and the Magical Stabilizer had also been used; however, the opponent was not completely unscathed either. The key point on the battlefield now was time.
She immediately ordered the Annihilator to slowly retreat, then activated another subsystem. Metal panels on the back of the Annihilator opened, and small spherical objects flew out.
The two small spheres were less than a quarter the size of a Clockwork Fairy, but functioned similarly, using a pair of thin wings to fly. They moved gracefully in a beautiful arc, positioning themselves in front of the octahedron.
These were sub-cores of the Shining Field; the external spectators got excited as everyone always raved about the Combat Artisan’s level of multi-control.
”Is that triple control?” Tianlan couldn’t help but turn around and ask in surprise.
”No,” Hudi shook his head: ”Although the Annihilator itself is slow, one of its advantages is that the flight stance is extremely simple, the system can be directly managed and does not occupy much computing resources, so she’s actually just dual-controlling.”
He listened for a moment, then added, ”The Shining Field actually has four subsystems, each one is a separate shield. Skilled players can even quad-control, but at this stage, dual control is already amazing.”
What was happening on the field at that moment underlined his words.
The Annihilator retreated very slowly. ’Sword Hong’ quickly caught up, crouched down, and took the stance of a leap and attack. In a flash of silver light, like a hunting Hunter with fangs bared, it lunged at the octahedron in mid-air.
However, the two small spheres suddenly split open, and a colorful glow shot out from the center, creating a dome-shaped hexagonal light net that blocked the Walker’s blade feet. The latter, as if it hit a real wall, was deflected and fell.
The Shining Field lasted less than a second and then vanished; Red Leaf timed it perfectly.
This was undoubtedly an exciting exchange, and the audience outside erupted into cheers.
Seeing this, Tianlan clenched his fist tightly. Atira and the others mostly had serious expressions on their faces, the opponent shifted to defense and controlled the temperature, and once the temperature was under control, Fang Hong would be undeniably defeated.
