Pillar of Yita

From the discussions of those around, it was clear that the competition on the field had come to an end.

Clack— Fang Hong closed the shell of the Emerald Bird α. Type-One Crystals are quite different from ordinary Attribute Crystals. Consequently, adjustments naturally had to be made to the internal interface of the Magic Guided Reactor.

Fortunately, since the third generation of General Magic Guided Reactors, designers had considered the need to replace spare Core Crystals, and the interface was naturally made adjustable.

As a mature product within the fifth generation of General Magic Guided Reactors, the Emerald Bird α was naturally no exception. The only issue was that Type-One Crystals were still an unknown product in this world, and Fang Hong had spent some time testing to identify its actual output range.

After closing the lid, a page window opened:

Emerald Bird α AE-Type Magic Guided Reactor—(Equipment Level, E+)

’Core Attributes: Maximum Output Power 190M, Instantaneous Overload 11%, Stable Overload Duration 70 seconds’

’Number of Interfaces: Magic Storage Interfaces—2, Recharge Interfaces—1 (Recharge Efficiency 317%), Main Interface—1, Auxiliary Interface—1’

’Basic Attributes: Self Weight 2.7 Kg, High-Temperature Working Limit 89, Core Heat Rate 0.3~3.7 per second, Heat Dissipation Efficiency 2.7 per second, Construct Enhancement: +9%’

Equipment Requirement: Level E Ether Knowledge, Level E Magic Guided Basic Theory

Fang Hong memorized the attributes.

Thankfully, while he was in the Elf Ruins, he had anticipated the need to replace his Magic Guided Reactor after level three and had prioritized using his Cognitive Experience to raise his Ether Knowledge and the basics of Magic Guided Conductors by one level, from F to E. Now, it proved useful.

The power output was mainly affected by the Type-One Crystal; originally, the Emerald Bird α’s maximum output could reach 580M. However, since the α state of the Type-One Crystal was slightly inferior to a standard Attribute Crystal, and since he only modified one region of that luminous crystal, this was all the output that remained.

After all, he had less than a quarter of an hour to prepare. Making a Core Crystal required the use of the Elemental Separation skill—the alchemists called it Equivalent Exchange. It was similar to chemical reactions on Earth, following the same principle of conservation, changing the elemental structure within the crystal to achieve the desired magical attributes.

This was purely a physical task that required several hours to complete without professional tools. However, separating Attribute Crystals to modify a Type-One Crystal was much easier than modifying a Non-Attribute Crystal. If only modifying one area, a quarter of an hour was just barely sufficient.

He then locked the other regions that contained attribute magic power to prevent problems during the competition. The output power was sufficient for his needs. After accounting for the maximum requirements of the Walker, he could even add an additional plugin.

Moreover, since Luo Yu was a tourist and couldn’t use a professional Magic Guided Reactor, his universal gloves also contained a Non-Attribute Core Crystal. Fang Hong initially considered disassembling this crystal, but after hesitating, he decided to leave it.

After all, this Core Crystal was fairly small, with only an output power of 110M, and the structure of the gloves themselves wasn’t heavy. He didn’t have any other equipment on him, so this level of combat bearing was bearable. Plus, he had a new idea in mind.

At that moment, Luo Yu returned from the crowd, bringing the latest news from the competition field.

As expected, in the first round of the competition, Sister Red Leaf had defeated Blood Night Demon Moon. After all, in terms of level, equipment, and ability, they were not on the same level. This also confirmed Hudi’s words—this match was merely an exhibition match at most.

As for Fang Hong, he was a special case. Due to the forfeiture of the Elpaxin Artisan Association contestant, the judges previously announced that he had advanced to the next round.

This unexpected advancement caused quite a stir in the hall. The audience interested in the preliminaries was niche, and not many onsite knew of Fang Hong. Many discussed this ’mysterious advancer,’ with most deeming him a lucky fellow and nothing more—only a few with paranoid delusions quietly questioned whether the Colin Commercial League was involved in any foul play.

Fang Hong broke out in a cold sweat upon hearing this.

Luo Yu then said, ”So, without any surprises, the next match should be Mr. Ade versus Sister Red Leaf.”

”And on the other side?” asked Atira.

”Ah, that was truly a splendid match.” A Papalarian who had watched the battle recounted the event vividly. In the semi-finals, Wu Di defeated his own comrade. Neither held back, but the former’s skill was clearly more than a notch above.

The young man’s Flexible Construct and the Walker III he had seen before underwent several modifications and even possessed a certain ranged attack capability. However, this all meant nothing in the face of Wu Di’s Flexible Construct, which turned out to be the Empire’s third-generation mass-produced Heavy Flexible Construct—the Fearless One.

People were somewhat speechless upon hearing about this apparatus. Theoretically, the Fearless One required a craftsman of at least level 15 to operate, and those two youths from the Silver Forest Spear surely didn’t possess that Level.

He surmised that the ’Central Nerve’ AEM-Type Magic Guided Reactor played a significant role, likely featuring at least two plugins that reduced the computational and operational requirements.

Moreover, Wu Di’s skill and knowledge structure were probably quite unique, skewed more toward construct control—regular Combat Artisans also had to maintain production-related abilities, after all, they were first and foremost Alchemists.

Hudi considered that the Fearless One wasn’t a complete entity, and this possibility couldn’t be discounted either.
