Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1440 - 711: The World of Crimson Crystal (7,000 Words!) (Part 4)

After they came down, many areas were pitch black without a hint of light, evidently not supplied with energy.

The reason for providing energy to the giant ship’s hatch is to control the opening and closing of the hatch, and also to...

Maintain the separation of space inside and outside the giant ship!

According to those few alien invaders from whom they stole the metal card at the entrance, they knew the monster had entered the giant ship, and activating the spatial isolation of this giant ship was to prevent the monster from teleporting away.

They knew the monster possessed the ability to teleport anytime, anywhere.

But if Xu Xin were to cut off the energy supply to that area now...

”We can get out!”

Li Wenxi exclaimed with delight.

Xu Ying looked at the array of buttons: ”Then we...”

”Press all the buttons quickly!” Xu Xin immediately said.

The two girls nodded and swiftly sprang into action.

Xu Xin even grabbed the nearly asleep Keke from his arms and tossed him onto a control panel to press the buttons.

”Whimper, whimper!!”

Keke grumbled a few times with his little paws, then started jumping around pressing the buttons.

The room had numerous buttons, but Xu Xin and the others had four pairs of hands.

Two minutes later, all the buttons had been pressed.

”Boom, boom, boom————”

The vibrations of the mechanical ocean outside became more frequent.

After pressing all the buttons, they looked back, and the mechanical sea looked vastly different from before.

It’s as if all the components were tossed around in a frying pan and thrown back, becoming somewhat...

Chaotic.

No longer exhibiting the initial feeling of being orderly despite having numerous machines.

All the machinery was tangled up, as though it might explode from collisions at any moment.

But in reality, it didn’t.

Despite the chaos, this mechanical sea was still operating.

And... it seemed there were no malfunctions.

”How should I put it... truly worthy of a giant ship navigating the cosmos. It’s still functioning even in this state,” Li Wenxi said, astonished.

Xu Ying squinted slightly to feel around, then said joyfully, ”We can leave now, we can teleport out directly!”

”Well, should we...” Li Wenxi hesitated, wanting to say they should leave now, but remembering Xu Ying’s purpose, suddenly found it hard to say.

Leaving now would mean asking Xu Ying to give up hope, asking her to go to her death.

”Let’s go back to the entrance and check it out first,” Xu Xin said, stuffing the little creature climbing onto his shoulder back into his arms.

”Alright!”

Xu Ying grabbed the arms of the two others.

Instantly, the three disappeared from their spot.

Leaving behind only the chaotic operating mechanical sea, completely blocking the only way in.

This control room was isolated at the very depth of the chaos.

-----------------

”Wow... it suddenly got so dark here!”

Li Wenxi whispered.

The three had returned to the entrance.

The original lights here had all been turned off, and it was extremely quiet, causing Li Wenxi to speak in hushed tones.

As for the alien invaders who had entered with Xu Xin and the others, their whereabouts were now unknown.

Only the three of them and a small panda remained here.

However, the surroundings had changed drastically.

The passage they had gone down before was now closed. The wall was neat and smooth, with no traces of the previous large passage.

But the upward passage was not closed, and inside the passage, bright light shone, illuminating a small part of this dark area.

”Why don’t we... go up and take a look?” Li Wenxi suggested, ”Maybe there’s something good up there?”

She couldn’t bear to let Xu Ying return empty-handed.

”But what if this space closes again at any time...”

Xu Ying hesitated.

”No need to worry for now,” Xu Xin said softly, ”The place capable of controlling the energy supply should be where we just were, but it’s currently very chaotic there, not to mention extremely hot, and the path we took is blocked, they probably can’t get through.”

”Moreover, even if they have a way to get through, we can teleport back and control it again.”

Xu Ying had been there before, so she could teleport back directly.

”...alright!”

Xu Ying nodded firmly.

The three quickly reached the entrance of the upward passage.

Except for the upwards direction, it was almost identical to the downward passage, looking extremely smooth.

It seemed... impossible to walk up it.

However, this was not a problem for Xu Ying.

She grabbed the arms of the two others with both hands and directly teleported.

Wherever she could see, she could teleport.

The three directly appeared above the passage.

Arriving at another layer of the giant ship.

And this layer...

Had a nearly earth-shattering difference from the lower layer!

Bright red sky, crimson ground, in the distance, could also see...

Various crimson mountains of differing heights!

Vast terrain, endless mountains... were all composed of crimson crystals?!

”This...”

The three were stunned at this moment.

How could such a scene appear inside the giant ship?!

Why does it feel like... this is suddenly another world?!

The ground, the mountains... why are they all full of crimson crystals?!

Xu Xin even quickly glanced back.

Luckily, that passage was still behind them.

This was still inside the giant ship.

But...

Why was such a scene before them?

Could this world made up of crimson crystals possibly be...?!

”...it’s virtual projections and screen images,”

Xu Ying suddenly spoke, rubbing her head which had swollen slightly from extreme shock for a moment.

”Tsk... The leader of these alien invaders is truly absurd, turning the interior of this giant ship into this form. I thought just to...”

Xu Ying’s words brought Xu Xin and the other two back to reality.

Indeed, upon closer inspection, these scenes seemingly...

Could tell it was caused by projections and screens!

Because the projections and screens were so clear and realistic, Xu Xin and the others didn’t react at first.

Although there were crimson crystal mountains in the distance, nearby there was only flat ground, obviously, those distant peaks were illusory.

Xu Xin squatted down and touched the ”crimson crystal” ground.

Merely a screen continually displaying the image of crimson crystals.

But the screen had a rugged, uneven shape, and if not touched or closely observed, one could hardly tell it was a screen.

He looked around.

The entire interior of the giant ship had been transformed into the alien invaders’... paradise.

Even Xu Xin and the others could tell this environment was likely mimicking the home planet of the alien invaders.

Tsk.

The leader of these alien invaders sure knew how to play.

Moreover...

”After we messed around in the power system, this place is actually still lit up?” Li Wenxi asked in surprise.

”Probably it’s not relying on the giant ship’s power system,” Xu Xin said, ”Turning this place into this form means that leader probably comes here regularly. If it’s maintained by the giant ship’s power system, that would be incredibly wasteful, wouldn’t it?”

The giant ship’s engine requires crimson crystals.

Using crimson crystals to activate the giant ship’s power system just to maintain this ”paradisiacal landscape”... that would be sheer insanity for the alien invader group.

So, this place should use a separate power system.

”Phew... anyway, let’s go,”

Xu Ying took a deep breath, then pointed to a four-story building made of unknown black material at the ”foot of the mountain” in the distance.

That building appeared to be a circle larger than the surrounding structures, and had two more layers.

”That, probably is the control room of the giant ship.”

”There... perhaps we can wield the giant ship’s firepower!”
