Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1435 - 710: Is This Giant Ship a 4-Cylinder? (Part 2)

Although it was still hot, it was only over forty degrees.

For the three of them, sleeping in an over forty degrees environment might be too hot to sleep, but enduring it would not be a problem.

Especially after experiencing the nearly eighty-degree temperature that almost roasted their bodies.

Even Xu Xin couldn’t help but take a pill just now.

Otherwise, he felt he might suffer from heatstroke, with all his internal organs being steamed alive!

Now, over forty degrees?

No big deal.

The three stepped out of the mechanical ocean.

Because there was also a platform beneath this tank.

”It’s really cool here!” Xu Ying remarked.

”Perhaps it’s because the cooling system of this tank is working properly.” Li Wenxi speculated.

Xu Xin looked at the vent of the tank.

The dark red shade of this tank had almost no difference from the previous one, and it too was venting hot air upwards.

Hot air sprayed onto the metal ceiling.

But this time, the metal ceiling wasn’t burning red like the previous metal plate; it remained its normal color.

Obviously, above here, there might also be a cooling system.

Possibly it’s also a...giant beast cooling space?

”The engine here has actually stopped working, right? All the surrounding machines are still, so why is it still venting...” Li Wenxi was a bit puzzled.

”Is there a possibility that it’s trying to stop working now?”

Xu Xin tilted his head towards the large metal tank.

”It’s striving hard to stop, but it can’t just stop randomly; it needs to cool down first, or it may cause unnecessary damage.”

”That’s true.” Xu Ying nodded, ”It’s been only about an hour since this giant battleship returned, right? For such a super battleship, it indeed takes time for the engines to cool down completely.”

”Is that so?” Li Wenxi wiped the sweat almost trickling down her eyes with her sleeve, blinking, ”Uh...hold on. Typically, engine maintenance work requires the engine to cool down first, right? That means...”

She looked at Xu Xin and Xu Ying with a somewhat disheartened expression: ”That means, even alien invaders wouldn’t come here now, when the engine hasn’t completely cooled down yet, right?”

Indeed, that’s the logic.

The three exchanged glances.

Each saw the resignation in the other’s eyes.

This environment was indeed too dangerous.

Not to mention the high temperature, those mechanical pipelines and components around were extremely scalding and easy to touch.

Even these lean humans could easily brush against them if not careful, let alone alien invaders as big as a Slime.

They definitely wouldn’t come here at this moment.

”Isn’t that just great?” Xu Xin laughed, ”This means we’re very safe now. They shouldn’t be coming over.”

”Seems like it.” Li Wenxi licked her somewhat chapped lips.

The extreme heat coupled with dryness was really unbearable.

Talking even felt like their throats were smoking.

”So, shall we continue forward?” Xu Ying pointed to the giant tank above them, like a moving floating building, ”We can’t do anything about it anyway, right?”

”Let’s continue exploring inside first.” Xu Xin said.

Finding this place was a very good thing.

Even if they found nothing here, if they placed dozens of nuclear bombs here before leaving, and detonated them afterwards...

Even if these tanks weren’t destroyed, this mechanical ocean...

Would definitely be wrecked.

By then, this giant battleship might be truly disabled!

Even if it could be repaired, it would take some time.

If that’s the case, even if their mission this time didn’t succeed completely, with all four giant ships of the alien invaders scrapped, their threat would greatly decrease.

Xu Xin shared his thoughts with the other two, and after some discussion, they immediately decided to plant nuclear bombs as they walked.

Continuing forward, the three dived back into the mechanical ocean.

”I think a nuclear bomb could directly blow this place apart.”

Xu Ying wedged a nuclear bomb between two large gaps in the machinery.

”The temperature of that giant tank isn’t actually very high, just a few thousand degrees, but already it’s glowing red. The alloy material of this power system shouldn’t be the same as the one on the giant battleship’s hull that even nuclear bombs can’t penetrate.”

That sounds quite reasonable indeed.

The explosion center of a nuclear bomb is billions of degrees, yet it couldn’t affect the giant battleship.

But here the engine turns red at just a few thousand degrees.

It really might not be the same material.

”That works well, we can just blow this whole place up when we leave!”

Li Wenxi also planted a nuclear bomb beside her.

Two nuclear bombs would devastate one location.

”Let’s go, keep moving forward.”

With their progress, the three moved more skillfully through the mechanical ocean, and their actions became increasingly swift.

And during this time, no danger appeared.

It confirmed their previous guess that the alien invaders wouldn’t come here while the engine hadn’t cooled down completely.

And along the way, they had planted a double-digit number of nuclear bombs.

Their mission this time did involve nuclear bombs, so they brought a lot along, even if using a dozen or more here wouldn’t impact the mission.

”This must be the end, right?”

The three of them had reached the end of the mechanical ocean.

This journey spanned about seven to eight hundred meters; the straight line wasn’t far, but maneuvering through the mechanical ocean took a lot of effort.
