Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1427 - 708: The Truth of the Frigid Season

”It doesn’t matter how they died, it’s not our concern.”

Xu Ying stopped caring about these alien invaders’ bodies on the ground: ”Let’s quickly take these weapons, there’s quite a lot!”

The three of them quickly got to work.

There were a total of one hundred and twenty metal monuments here, each adorned with various weapons.

The trio looted all the weapons completely.

”Indeed, one hundred and twenty metal monuments, and also one hundred and twenty alien invader corpses.”

Li Wenxi handed all the weapons to Xu Xin for safekeeping, while commenting.

”You keep a set for self-defense, this weapon can kill alien invaders.”

Xu Xin left a whole set for Li Wenxi.

”Uh... I don’t even know how to use it.” Li Wenxi looked somewhat clueless at the weapon in her hand, ”Seems like it’s easy to have an accidental discharge...”

... It is indeed a bit dangerous.

Xu Xin looked toward Xu Ying.

She was also turning over the weapon in her hand.

Even at this moment, the muzzle was pointed in Xu Xin’s direction.

”Hey, don’t point the gun at people!”

Xu Xin’s forehead immediately broke out in a sweat.

”Oh... how do you use this thing?” Xu Ying was also somewhat puzzled, ”Do you just press the button on one end?”

She aimed the muzzle at an alien invader’s corpse and then pressed the button directly!

”Zing—!”

A laser about the thickness of a pencil shot out, piercing a hole in the body of the alien invader on the ground!

The alien invaders’ bodies don’t actually have strong defense capabilities, so this kind of damage can also be done with human weapons that Xu Xin and the others have.

But the difference is that the hole pierced through the alien invader isn’t the entirety of the damage.

The hole that penetrated the alien invader’s body was actually burning!

This small hole was filled with red-yellow sparks!

And these sparks spread instantly.

Within less than three seconds, the alien invader’s body turned into black ash.

Scattered across the ground.

”Wow...” Li Wenxi’s eyes widened, ”Turn to ash instantly? So powerful?”

”...Is this the weapon that can directly kill alien invaders?” Xu Ying looked at the weapon in her hand, self-reflecting, ”It’s really amazing to handle this for the first time.”.

”If it’s against living ones, it might not be as powerful.”

Xu Xin reminded them.

”Living alien invaders have very strong self-healing abilities, probably not like this alien invader corpse turning into ash in a few seconds.”

”Yeah, but it will definitely leave wounds on the alien invaders that are hard to heal.”

Xu Ying put away the weapon and said: ”The rate at which these wounds worsen will be faster than the alien invaders’ healing speed, which means if they don’t receive treatment after getting injured, their condition will get worse continually, so even just getting shot once will be very unpleasant for them.”

”Oh, so... it’s kind of like how it feels for humans when they get shot.” Li Wenxi realized.

Indeed.

After getting shot, the wound doesn’t heal, and without medical treatment, it deteriorates, just like humans might die from excessive bleeding if they don’t quickly treat a gunshot wound.

The civil war between alien invaders is clearly just as gruesome.

No wonder the monsters previously mentioned that the civil war on their home planet left less than one percent of their population.

With this kind of weapon, it would be too easy for them to kill their fellows.

Moreover, this type of weapon likely only exists here.

Perhaps because of such a powerful weapon, the alien invaders’ leader can suppress those who try to revolt.

But...

Why did these alien invader soldiers, possessing such weapons, die here en masse?

Judging by the situation here, these spiky metal monuments should be the dormant chambers of these alien invader soldiers.

When something unfavorable occurs, these alien invaders resting in the dormant chambers would take up weapons and collectively emerge from these chambers to fight in the most optimal physical and mental condition.

That’s why they are positioned so close to the giant ship’s entrance.

It makes it convenient to guard the giant ship and to launch attacks from within it.

But now, these guys have mysteriously all died...

Moreover, they’ve been inside this giant ship for a while, doing so much...

Triggering alarms, making seven alien invaders fall unconscious, stealing their access cards, blocking the entrance to this area.

Now they’re opening the dormant chambers and looting the weapons inside.

Yet, the interior of the giant ship has remained extremely calm, and nothing has happened.

This is really strange...

”Do you think... the alien invaders inside this giant ship are almost all dead?” Li Wenxi speculated quietly, ”That’s why they didn’t respond to all the commotion we made.”

”If that’s the case, all the better.”

Xu Ying wasn’t particularly concerned about this.

She was a bit excited now.

Now that they have obtained the alien invaders’ standard light weapons, there should also be more powerful weapons, right?

If they could really get them...

She walked over to the control panel: ”We just pressed the green button before, there are still two we haven’t pressed.”

Xu Xin and Li Wenxi also walked over.

”The red button, feels like there shouldn’t be much danger. Let’s press it directly.”

Red, to the alien invaders, is the most normal color.
