Berserk God of War

91: Chapter 091: Defeated by Own Hands, Yuwen Guan 91: Chapter 091: Defeated by Own Hands, Yuwen Guan Was it the Emperor of Great Shang, Yang Tianmo, and the Ninth Princess, Yan Ruyu, who had noticed that I had recovered my Dantian and meridians and wanted to cripple me again?

Or perhaps, did they want to capture me and take me back?

Sikong Jing’s heart turned ice-cold.

It was not the arrival of the Shadow Sect that frightened him, nor was it the fear of death, but the fear of having to leave Su Yuexi, to leave this home.

At this moment, a black-clad Shadow Sect expert revealed a disdainful smirk and casually replied, “Sikong Jing, it seems your position before exile was not low, given you recognize us as people from the Shadow Sect.”

Sikong Jing was stunned, they actually did not know his identity before exile.

Then, a second Shadow Sect expert arrogantly chuckled, “We are neither here to kill you, nor to capture you— we only want your right hand’s palm.”

Sikong Jing raised an eyebrow slightly, puzzled, he asked, “You were sent here just to take my palm?”

What were Yang Tianmo and his daughter up to?

Was crippling his Dantian and meridians not enough, and now they wanted to torment him bit by bit?

Today it’s the palm, will it be the sole of the foot tomorrow?

But with their malicious nature, such actions were not beyond them.

“Yes, the Shadow Sect’s orders are to cut off your right hand’s palm and take it back to the Imperial City with the utmost urgency.”

“The Shadow Sect also left a message for you, this is being done because your right hand once held the hand of someone you shouldn’t have.”

The second Shadow Sect expert explained with a smile on his face.

Upon hearing this, Sikong Jing stood rigidly on the bridge, then he laughed, unable to hold back a bout of raucous laughter, “I see, Yan Ruyu is truly vicious and ruthless.

She must have found a new love, and this is to show him, right?”

“Haha, I too find it filthy, and I very much wish to cut off her hand as well.”

He once made mountains-and-seas vows with Yan Ruyu, strolling through the Imperial City hand in hand.

Back then, amid the bustling crowd, Yan Ruyu whispered in his ear about wanting to hold hands like this for a lifetime, never letting go.

Yet now, she wants to take his palm just because he had once held her hand.

Recalling all that had transpired, Sikong Jing felt a surge of disgust.

He laughed loudly, oblivious to his surroundings, laughing at his mistake in judging her character, laughing at Yan Ruyu’s heart being as venomous as a viper’s.

Sikong Jing simply wanted to laugh wildly.

“Sikong Jing, no matter what your previous identity was, you have addressed the Ninth Young Master by name for the second time now.”

“We fear we may have to tear your mouth apart.”

As their words ended, the two Shadow Sect experts dashed out, flanking Sikong Jing from front and back.

“My identity, surely as members of the Shadow Sect, you should know what it is?” Sikong Jing suppressed his laughter, asking coldly.

There were not many in the Shadow Sect, and most of them knew who he was.

“Why should we need to know?”

“In the eyes of the Shadow Sect, aside from the Great Merchant Invincible God General, the side-by-side prince, the master of the Shadow Sect Yuwen Guan, the Emperor, and the Ninth Princess, no one is beyond our reach to kill, no one beyond our grasp to take!”

When the name “Yuwen Guan” was mentioned, a look of reverence appeared in the eyes of the two Shadow Sect experts, their gaze filled with fanaticism.

Sikong Jing’s entire body shuddered, staring intently at them, “You say the Invincible God General is called Yuwen Guan?”

These titles they spoke of belonged to him, the ones he had earned through battle, yet now, in the words of the two from the Shadow Sect, all these distinctions had become… Yuwen Guan’s.

Yuwen Guan, the scion of the Great Merchant’s premier noble Yuwen Family, was once proclaimed the number one talent of Great Shang.

Yet, he had been defeated by Sikong Jing three times.

Defeated and trampled underfoot, forever stripped of the title of prodigy, forever overshadowed by Sikong Jing.

And now, he had boldly usurped all of Sikong Jing’s hard-earned honors and glory.

“Of course, it is General Yuwen Guan.

The Yuwen Divine General was not well known before, only after quelling the Seven Countries’ uprising did he truly proclaim his title.

He is the greatest contributor to the Great Shang Dynasty.”

“Yuwen Guan is indeed the greatest general throughout the ages of Great Shang!”

The two Shadow Sect experts excitedly said, their eyes brimmed with reverence, seeming to speak of a peerless sovereign.

“Ha, hahaha…”

Suddenly, Sikong Jing burst into another long laugh, his veins throbbing as he exclaimed, “He, Yuwen Guan, is worthy to quell the rebellion of the Seven Countries?”

Clang!

The two Shadow Sect experts abruptly drew their swords, the first one speaking bitterly, “Sikong Jing, you are the first in Great Shang to dare insult the Invincible God General.

If it weren’t for the orders from above that we can’t kill you yet, you would certainly be dead by now.”

The second one continued, “Now, we will take your palms.”

Having said that, the two approached like shadows, soaring in to sever Sikong Jing’s right hand.

Clang!

Suddenly, Sikong Jing grasped one of their swords, uttering coldly, “Human Realm Peak, when did the Shadow Sect start recruiting those of such strength?”

“You are far too weak!”

As the words fell, Sikong Jing’s True Qi flowed down the blade into the hands of the Shadow Sect expert, snatching the sword and slashing backward.

With an outcry, the second who had come from behind was heavily repelled.

“Only those beyond the Transcendent Realm may enter the Shadow Sect; that was the rule I set.

How long has it been that it’s already been breached?”

Sikong Jing stared at the Shadow Sect expert before him, his voice full of chilling menace.

After he took up the post of head of the Shadow Sect, he had decreed that the sect should focus on quality, not quantity, yet these two before him were merely at Human Realm Peak.

“Your rules, what are you to set them?”

“Kill!”

The remaining Shadow Sect expert who didn’t lose his sword let out an angry shout, the sword radiance was like a shadow, thunderously slashing forward.

“The Shadow Sect’s Shadow Killing Blade transforms into myriad forms, ghostly and demonic, yet you have only learned the barest surface,” Sikong Jing lightly rebuked as he turned and delivered a blow, with countless sword shadows lunging at the expert, releasing a ghostly wail.

Puff puff puff…

All that greeted the Shadow Sect expert was the sound of sword shadows piercing through.

Blood splattered, as if scores of slashes had gashed his body, he remained standing on the bridge for a few moments before finally collapsing.

Sikong Jing, holding the sword, turned to face the Shadow Sect expert from whom he had taken the blade.

The latter’s eyes reflected immense fear as he tremulously asked, “How do you know the Shadow Killing Blade, who were you before?”

More than just knowing the Shadow Killing Blade, this person was merely at Dark Realm Eighth Level, yet he had killed his own comrade.

This was too terrifying!

“Who am I?

I am someone who has already lost all titles and honours, but I am still called Sikong Jing.”

Sikong Jing cried out once more, and with a slash, blood spurted from the second Shadow Sect expert’s neck, his pupils constricting.

“The most powerful strike of the Shadow Killing Blade, the Ghost Shadow Blood Blade… Isn’t that something only the head of the Shadow Sect can cultivate?”

With these words left behind, the second Shadow Sect expert fell and died, with profound confusion in his eyes.

Sikong Jing shut his eyes tightly, dropping the sword as his body trembled violently.

Boom!

All of a sudden, the sound of thunder rolled across the sky, as if protesting the injustice against Sikong Jing.

The torrential rain fell heavily, like peas hitting the ground.

Alone, Sikong Jing listened to the sound of the river, the thunder, and the rain, weeping like sorrow itself.

His heart was ice cold!
