Berserk God of War

“Second Mother, what brings you here?”

Before her stood a gorgeous middle-aged woman—it was none other than her Second Mother, Xiao Mei.

At her words, Xiao Mei’s smile widened slightly, “I heard that Xiao Ning and Xiao Wu scored a big victory this time.

I was so pleased that I decided to come and see for myself.”

She was Xiao Wu’s aunt, so her visit seemed perfectly natural.

Luo Ning smiled and nodded before turning toward Sikong Jing’s room, saying happily, “Xiao Wu and I were just going through the motions.

We truly relied on Young Master Sikong.”

After that compliment, Luo Ning chuckled and said, “Second Mother, I have some things to do; why don’t you chat with cousin Xiao Wu for a while?”

She had agreed to two conditions from Sikong Jing, and one of them had already arrived.

About two hundred experts of around the Dark Realm Third Level had been personally brought by her Second Mother.

However, the Primordial Truth Pill was something she had to procure on her own.

Now, Luo Ning was getting ready to go to a pill pharmacy in Ru Yun Town to pick it up for Sikong Jing.

Xiao Mei smiled faintly, watching as Luo Ning left the courtyard.

But suddenly, her eyes turned icy, and at that moment, Xiao Wu slowly appeared at her side, saying, “Auntie, Thunder Wing Trading House is almost here.”

“Good, surround that surnamed Sikong!”

“Xiao Wu, whether we, aunt and nephew, can hold our heads high in the Luoshui Jade Line depends on today.”

Xiao Mei had of course not come to Ru Yun Town just for a casual visit, nor simply to bring two hundred Dark Realm Third Level experts.

She was acting on a message from Xiao Wu, preparing to execute Lei Dong’s plan together.

Xiao Wu’s eyes shone with a cold light as he immediately began giving orders, leading people toward the outside of Sikong Jing’s room.

At this time, Sikong Jing was still cultivating.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped open, sensing an intense murderous intent surrounding his room.

The next instant, Xiao Wu’s voice rang out, “Sikong Jing, come out.”

Frowning, Sikong Jing slowly got to his feet and stepped out of the room.

Before him stood two to three hundred experts around the level of the Three Layers of Darkness, with Xiao Wu in their midst.

Beside him was a gorgeous woman whom Sikong Jing did not recognize.

But clearly, their intentions were malignant!

Meanwhile, Old Zhang and Ah Hu, who Luo Ning had arranged to stay in the room next door, also came out with puzzled expressions, only to be shocked by the scene before them.

What was going on?

At that moment, Xiao Mei spoke in a delicate tone, “So, you’re Sikong Jing, you…

have quite some nerve!”

With the last words, she raised her voice sharply.

“The whole Luoshui Jade Line believes it was you who killed Qian Yubao, winning the wager for us, but it was these two generals from Yunye City who did the deed.

Thunder Wing Trading House has already found the evidence.”

“It’s you who have besmirched the reputation of Luoshui Jade in Yunzhou.”

“Now, I must kill you and these two generals to give an explanation to Thunder Wing Trading House and our partners.”

Xiao Mei’s voice rang out sternly, her once attractive face now contorted into an expression that bordered on ferocity, completely devoid of any beauty.

This trumped-up charge coming from Xiao Mei’s lips seemed as if it were the absolute truth.

The faces of Old Zhang and Ah Hu changed abruptly.

Ah Hu, known for his fiery temper, suddenly leaped forward, shouting loudly, “Bullshit, you dare to slander us, you shameless woman?”

Damn, Sikong Jing had already proven his strength last night, and Lei Dong had suffered greatly.

Yet unexpectedly, the Luoshui Jade Line suddenly launched an attack, trying once again to trap him and Old Zhang in an unjust situation.

Although confused by the sudden turn of events, Ah Hu was extremely angry.

At that moment, Xiao Wu took a deliberate step forward and scoffed, “Dirty water?

We were all present when Qian Yubao was slain, nearly a hundred of us.

Do you think we’d slander you?

We’re not blind.”

As soon as those words were spoken, close to a hundred experts from the Luoshui Jade Line walked out, smirking.

“That’s right, you were the ones who killed Qian Yubao.”

“We all witnessed it with our own eyes.

While you did help us, you’ve also caused Luoshui Jade Line to lose face and become the laughingstock of others.”

“Luoshui Jade Line lost fair and square, there was no need for cheating.”

One after another they spoke, all directly under Xiao Wu, having colluded on their story in advance.

Old Zhang and Ah Hu were so furious their faces turned a bright red, and they roared repeatedly.

Although Sikong Jing’s face remained calm, a fierce fire ignited in his eyes, and he spoke in a low voice, “Luoshui Jade Line dares to go back on its word and bite back at me?

Very good, very good… Where is Luo Ning?”

Sikong Jing’s gaze swept across the crowd, his murderous intent climbing higher and higher.

He was truly angry, for his deal with Luo Ning was merely a transaction.

After the transaction was completed, there should’ve been no further connection between them, but now the Luoshui Jade Line was trying to kill him, and it was clear they had colluded with the Thunder Wing Trading House, casting him into a position of both dishonesty and disloyalty.

This reminded Sikong Jing of the time before he was banished.

He had quelled the chaos of the Seven Countries and returned home with unmatched achievements, only to be met with swords aimed at his throat.

How similar the situations seemed.

“What are you doing?”

Just then, a shrill scream came from outside the courtyard, Luo Ning had returned after fetching the Primordial Truth Pill.

Seeing the scene before her, she was stunned.

Upon seeing her, Xiao Wu immediately rushed over and exclaimed, “Cousin, it’s a disaster!

The Thunder Wing Trading House found out about the two Yunye City soldiers who helped us kill Qian Yubao, and they are going to spread the news all over Yunzhou.”

Xiao Wu’s expression was exaggerated, as if to convey the gravity of the situation.

However, Luo Ning was shocked and incredulously exclaimed, “Cousin, what nonsense are you spouting?

It was Young Master Sikong who killed Qian Yubao.”

What was all this about?

At that moment, Xiao Mei gracefully approached and said, “Xiao Ning, there’s no need to pretend anymore.

Truly, the Thunder Wing Trading House is aware, and now only by killing these three people here will they agree not to publicize this shameful incident.”

Luo Ning was completely flabbergasted, shaking her head vigorously, “Second mother, you are talking nonsense too.”

But, what greeted her were the continuous cold sneers from Xiao Mei and Xiao Wu, as if to say what could she do even if they were spouting nonsense?

“Hahaha…”

At that moment, a sinister laugh erupted alongside the sound of approaching footsteps; Lei Dong led the people from the Thunder Wing Trading House as they appeared outside the courtyard.

The injured Lei Dong was seated on a bamboo chair, carried in by two strong men.

By his side were his uncle Lei Dinghai and several other General-grade Thunder surnamed experts from the Human Realm, all smirking continuously.

After entering, Lei Dong sneered, “Luo Ning, there’s no point in arguing anymore.

Even your second mother and cousin are saying the Generals killed Qian Yubao, so why the act?”

With those words, Xiao Wu slowly approached Lei Dong, bent forward and fawned, “Young Master Lei, sorry for the trouble.”

At that moment, Luo Ning finally understood.

She looked at Xiao Mei and Xiao Wu with disbelief, trembling as she said, “You dare to collude with the Thunder Wing Trading House, have you gone mad?”

Luo Ning now fully realized that her second mother and Xiao Wu had done it deliberately, they had been bought by the Thunder Wing Trading House.

Together they colluded to make everyone insist that Qian Yubao was killed by the two Generals, to insist that Luoshui Jade Line had cheated during the duel, with Xiao Wu and Xiao Mei testifying to that effect.

If Sikong Jing and the two Generals were killed, the matter would be set in stone.

Even if she herself survived, she would have no grounds for argument.
