AftertasteLin Yuan thought he had stumbled upon a stroke of luck; after he went all in on NVIDIA stock, the next day, NVIDIA’s stock price surged by nearly 9 points.

He was overjoyed, thinking he had hit the jackpot, because 9 points on 270 million was an immense fortune.

But in reality, he was still too young.

In the following days, NVIDIA’s stock price entered a volatile phase.

Musk kindly reminded Lin Yuan from his personal experience, ”You don’t need to look at stocks now. Delete all trading software from your computers, phones, and your life completely, then go travel. When you return from your vacation, just sell the stocks and wait to collect the money.

At this time, those scoundrels are accumulating shares by exploiting panic. They will use volatility to scare investors, then forcefully pull the price up at the right moment.

Also, I’ll give you a little insider tip... Our public funds have quietly entered the market, you know...”

Although Lin Yuan didn’t actually uninstall the trading software, he was just a spectator; he didn’t care about profit or loss.

The subsequent developments were indeed as Musk had said: NVIDIA’s stock price dropped to just over 110 at most, and then several strong surges began.

Soon, the direction of news reports changed.

They began to emphasize: DS training also uses NVIDIA GPUs; after DS open-sourced, there were more players in the AI field, and the demand for GPUs actually increased...

Such statements dominated the front pages of major media outlets. In short, they emphasized two points.

First, DS cannot do without NVIDIA’s GPU computing cards;

Second, the open-sourcing of DS, in the long run, will not only not harm NVIDIA but will actually benefit it;

As a result, NVIDIA’s stock price soared continuously, recovering to around 140.

Lin Yuan looked at his stocks, with a market value of about 350 million on paper, and fell into thought, ’Where on earth did all this money come from?’

Money naturally couldn’t appear out of thin air. Besides Lin Yuan’s 100 million principal, the additional 250 million naturally came from various funds pouring into the American stock market from around the world.

It could be a country’s pension fund, or a country’s medical insurance fund, or even the entire savings of certain countries.

So, what exactly is the American stock market?

Isn’t it just a sieve?

Money from all over the world flows in, and then a little bit always gets sieved out.

On a broader level, in the days that followed, the Paris Artificial Intelligence Summit was successfully held.

In Europa, the birthplace of modern human technological civilization, major countries around the world began to discuss how to properly utilize AI.

The ”Declaration on the Development of Inclusive, Sustainable Artificial Intelligence for the Benefit of Humanity and the Earth” was grandly launched, and humanity, for once, reached a temporary consensus on the application of AI.

This might be the lingering impact of DS-R1’s open-sourcing.

Such declarations are bound to be given grand and high-sounding titles, but in fact, those with discerning eyes know that the true name of this declaration should be: ”We finally have the qualifications to play with AI too.”

Therefore, many countries did not have the opportunity before, but the open-sourcing of DS-R1 gave them hope.

So, in Europa’s increasingly declining state today, and with Europa having made no achievements in AI, the World AI Summit is still being held in Europa. What does this mean? It means the ambitions of Europa’s old money have risen.

’America, you won’t let us play, huh? We’ll play by ourselves. Damn it, your ancestors were just impoverished nobodies who came from our neck of the woods, what are you bragging about?’

When various predators in a jungle can temporarily reach a consensus, it must be because a large piece of meat has appeared in the jungle.

And this large piece of meat right now is the future global AI market.

This piece of meat was originally regarded by America as something within its grasp. It originally wanted to guard this meat in its arms and then decide entirely by itself who could eat some scraps and who was only fit to drink two sips of broth.

No matter how close the allies, when America drops this large piece of meat, no one can resist coming to take a few bites.

What’s more, America’s so-called allies were originally rife with internal conflicts.

So, what’s special about this declaration? Actually, nothing much. If you had to say, it’s that America didn’t sign it.

Damn it, this piece of meat was dropped by it. It can’t possibly sign a declaration about how to divide the meat it dropped, can it?

As America’s former parent, and now its most loyal son, the UK also didn’t sign.

Besides that, America’s brothers, cousins, aunts, concubines, and neighbors all signed.

The Interstellar Gate Plan, in fact, fell through even before all its startup funds were raised.

Of course, this plan will likely continue, but it will only be an empty shell.

Lin Yuan looked at his enormous sum of 350 million, and he had a feeling of being in a different world.

”How am I going to spend it?” This became his real problem.

Lin Yuan’s previous ambition was that whenever he ate at Shaxian Snacks after getting money, he could always add a clay pot soup to his set meal.

Later, this expectation turned into having an iPhone in one hand and a Huawei in the other.

But faced with countless zeros before him, he really didn’t know how to spend it.

Let alone spending the money, just counting all of it would take a lot of time.

Lin Yuan actually calculated how long it would take to count 350 million.

If calculated in 100-yuan denominations, and he could count 3 banknotes per second, 350 million is a total of 3.5 million banknotes, which would require about 1.2 million seconds.

1.2 million seconds is approximately equal to 300 hours, meaning it would take about 13 days of non-stop counting.

”Oh my god, what a sin!”

Lin Yuan instantly felt as if Wang Duoyu had possessed him.

”How about I invest in dreams?”

Lin Yuan quickly thought again that Musk had previously promised him a reward of a billion. He had asked for 100 million for stock trading before, so there were still 900 million left.

Damn it, this made things even harder for Lin Yuan.

He specifically spent several days thinking about how to use this money.

Give everyone in the country a one-yuan red packet? Lin Yuan had considered it. Although one yuan was useless to an individual, Lin Yuan enjoyed the feeling of showing off.

But he wouldn’t be foolish enough to actually do it.

After much deliberation, he decided to take this money from AI and use it for AI. He wanted to promote the popularization of AI, making AI as accessible as air and water.

So, Lin Yuan’s final decision was: to establish an AI Equal Rights Organization.

This was also his decision after consulting Zhang Yan, because such a philosophy aligned with Longguo’s current mainstream values, as well as his own values.

Lin Yuan’s ideal became: to use AI to smash the old world order to pieces.

Of course, this was only an ideal, something he kept hidden in his heart and dared not speak aloud.

In Zhang Yan’s words, ”Before you smash the old world to pieces, I guarantee you won’t be able to leave this door. Who knows, a steel plate might fall from a satellite in the sky and just happen to smash you to death.”

How could Lin Yuan not understand her implied meaning? ”I’m just saying. Things, you know, have to be taken one step at a time. I’ll just start it off, okay? I’ll sow the seeds, isn’t that enough?”

Lin Yuan informed Musk of this plan, and he also approved.

Musk suggested that Lin Yuan could promote this project with Tesla, but Lin Yuan quickly refused.

Musk, well, it’s hard to tell if he’s good or evil. One can discuss strategies with him, but one must be cautious when cooperating with him. Damn it, Lin Yuan didn’t want to get too involved with him.

”How about you provide me with some funds? In return, if you can’t make it there, you can come to us. How about it?”

”Come on, Lin, I always have a private jet on standby. Since you don’t want to cooperate with me, then I’ll fund you with some channels. I believe you won’t be short on money.”

”Uh... how about you still fund me with money? Channels... what channels? Are they very valuable?”

”Trust me, the channels I give you are worth more than a billion dollars.”
