Musk’s helplessness 1One of life’s greatest pains is watching your cherished dreams shatter before your eyes.

Even more painful than that is being forced to personally end your own dreams.

Musk certainly didn’t want to bring down the new AI forces represented by NVIDIA; after all, half of his energy was invested there.

AI and rockets are the two cornerstones supporting Musk’s tech empire. Neither can be missing. Rockets represent muscle, and AI represents wisdom.

This is true not only for Musk personally but also for Eagle Country. With the return of manufacturing hopeless, the financial industry unchecked, and the middle class roaring with anger, what industry can continue to provide an endless supply of ammunition for the empire?

Only the technology industry remains.

Therefore, for Eagle Country today, the high-tech stronghold represented by AI cannot be lost. If even this high ground is lost, then it might as well cut off the Pacific in advance and hide in the Americas, closing the door to itself.

Everyone with a higher education can see this clearly, but the strangeness of the human collective is that mistakes an individual wouldn’t make become irreparable major problems when a whole group is involved.

It’s like, an individual would absolutely never eat excrement, but a group often does things that are akin to eating excrement.

The current collective excrement-eating spectacle is that the major financial institutions in Eagle Country are actually leading the shorting of their own representative tech companies. This forces Musk to follow suit, because he knows those people’s habits too well; if he acts too late, there won’t even be any scraps left.

And if that money ends up in his hands, at least it can still be used in the AI and rocket fields.

Musk could only mock himself, calling this operation ”salvage suicide.”

It means knowing that doing this is undermining the empire’s foundation, but being unable to stop a large group of people from doing it, so you have to join them, hoping to salvage a little from their hands. And to salvage more, you have to be even more ruthless than them.

What is this? This is a plot even House of Cards couldn’t film.

The only thing Musk could do was to aggressively drive down NVIDIA’s stock as much as possible, completely disrupting the entire market. He absolutely could not let those bloodthirsty jackals feel that someone wanted to save the market, because that would make them even more frantic.

He had to present an image of everyone joining in, eager to devour NVIDIA alive, so that the pack of jackals would panic. Because they would worry about whether they had escaped at the lowest point; when shorting, the goal is to buy back the stock at the lowest point.

Everyone crashes it together, leaving the development of events to objective economic laws. Because NVIDIA’s value is truly there; no matter how much a group of people crashes it, NVIDIA’s stock price won’t truly collapse, and someone will always lose their nerve.

This is completely uncontrolled market self-behavior. When public trust cannot provide consensus, only the most primitive value factors can provide a bottom.

Fortunately, NVIDIA’s GPUs are unparalleled. With its leading and powerful product strength, NVIDIA’s stock price will eventually stop falling at a price the market considers reasonable.

But what if the company facing this situation wasn’t NVIDIA, but a company that was already a massive bubble? So, that’s how a collapse happens.

Unregulated market behavior gradually accumulates risk, and then collapses at a certain point. So, there’s no such thing as an economic crisis; it’s purely the self-indulgence of a group of so-called smart people.

The next day after the market opened, as Musk expected, a DS-R1 version was indeed hyped up, and then the stocks of domestic AI companies, represented by NVIDIA, began to collapse.

The performance of DS-R1 seemed to have been discovered overnight, and major media outlets around the world suddenly began to report on it. For a time, many people on this planet seemed to wake up from a dream, raising their confused eyes, not understanding what confusing behavior was happening before them again.

Musk made a big profit by shorting based on intelligence provided by the FBI, but he couldn’t be happy at all.

This wasn’t the first time he encountered such a situation, and he knew it wouldn’t be the last.

His memory couldn’t help but wander, and he recalled those sleepless nights six years ago.

At that time, Musk faced the most difficult period of his life; rumors of his personal bankruptcy were rampant. And in fact, he was indeed on the verge of collapse at that time, because Tesla was facing a production crisis, and he was quickly running out of money.

It’s almost laughable to say that Tesla almost went under not because its products weren’t recognized, nor because users were unwilling to pay for illusory emotional value, but because of insufficient production capacity.

Talking about insufficient production capacity in the 21st century is simply a joke, because it’s like having money but not earning it.

But that’s how Tesla was at the time. The Gigafactory 1 in Nevada started construction in 2014 and began production in 2016, but after three years, production capacity still couldn’t be ramped up.

Domestic manufacturing was declining, skilled workers were hard to find and extremely expensive, and they were constantly causing trouble. The batteries produced in Japan were also one by one, and they just wouldn’t upgrade their battery technology, stubbornly clinging to hydrogen fuel cells and dreaming of hydrogen energy cars. As a result, for a time, Tesla was ridiculed as: a toy car assembled from a pile of batteries.

To be honest, Tesla at that time was indeed assembled from a pile of cylindrical batteries.

Under the friendly care of local environmental organizations and various human rights organizations, the production capacity of Tesla’s first Gigafactory never increased. And the supply chains of allies were also terrible, expensive but of poor quality.

Finally, Musk couldn’t stand it anymore. He defied all opposition and went to Dragon Country, directly throwing himself into the embrace of the industrial maniac.

Then, in one year, a brand new Gigafactory was completed, and the first M3 rolled off the production line.

One year, it only took one year, from a barren wasteland to cars rolling off the production line.

What could you say if you were Musk?

”Do you think I wanted to build factories in Dragon Country? I wanted to take you to the skies, but you just watched me die!”

”You only want raises and don’t think about who will pay you when the factory goes bankrupt? Is the treatment I give you bad?”

”Expanding a factory requires battling a bunch of organizations. This is clearly a win-win situation, can’t you be less unsightly in your greed?”

.

.

The most exaggerated thing was that Wall Street, knowing Tesla was troubled by production capacity issues, not only didn’t invest money to solve the problem but instead thought of shorting Tesla’s stock.

This perfectly aligns with the logic of capital appreciation, because investing in manufacturing is a heavy asset that generates money too slowly; shorting and harvesting is much faster.

So, news that Tesla’s production capacity was failing and Musk was on the verge of ruin became rampant. In the eyes of those bloodthirsty jackals, there was no right or wrong, only making money. If shorting Tesla could make money, they would short and badmouth it; if going long on Tesla could make money, they would go long and praise it.

With the completion of the Gigafactory in Dragon Country, Tesla’s stock price also began to soar at the end of 2019.

You have to admire the foresight of those jackals; they had already ambushed and gone long on Tesla stock at the end of 2019 when this Gigafactory started construction, because they were very clear about Dragon Country’s industrial strength.

They were also badmouthing and going long at the same time.

All the truth lies in the dusty archives of the past.

And that familiar scene was now happening before Musk’s eyes again.
