Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

He completed all the questions as usual in less than an hour and handed in the paper early.

Leaving the academic building, he initially intended to find Lu Zhining and finish up the unfinished business from the morning.

But then he thought she might not be in the right state for that kind of thing, plus Liu Fang might also be in the dormitory, so he gave up on the idea.

Getting into the car, he thought for a moment, then took out his phone and called Yuan Mei.

”Hello...”

Zhang Jingdong noticed she seemed a bit nervous and immediately laughed: ”Are you unsure how to address me now?”

”... Yeah.”

”It’s actually very simple. When there are people around, you can call me Boss Zhang or Jingdong. When there’s no one, you must call me hubby. Say it now and let me hear.”

”You’re... you’re so bossy!”

”Do you like me being this bossy?”

”I won’t tell you.”

”You won’t tell me? I’ll give you three seconds, quickly call me hubby. Otherwise, I’ll enforce the family rules!”

”Family rules? Do you think you’re some ancient lord?”

Zhang Jingdong began the countdown directly: ”Three...”

”What are you doing? Where are you now? What if someone hears...”

”Two...”

Seeing that he was being unreasonable, Yuan Mei had no choice but to say: ”... Okay, hubby, is that alright?”

”What? What did you call me just now?”

”You obviously heard it!”

”What did I hear? Just now, your tone seemed like you were calling someone with the surname Gong, not calling your own hubby!”

”Tsk... Alright, listen closely now... Hubby.”

”This time, it sounded like you’re addressing an ancient emperor’s attendant, too formal! Make it a bit sweeter!”

”... Hubby.”

”That was much better this time, now elevate it a bit with this approach.”

”Hubby!”

”Haha, if you had done this earlier, it would have been done. This one’s a full score! Where are you now?”

”I’m upstairs, are you coming over?”

”On the way, at most 20 minutes... I’m hungry!”

”I’ll go make you a meal now.”

”Just eating won’t fill me up.”

”... What else do you want to eat?”

”What do you think?”

”Not here.”

”I know that, and haven’t we already agreed that tonight we’ll have our wedding night at your place? But I’ve been to your shop many times, yet I’ve never been to the top floor. How about you take me there for a look later?”

”... Okay.”

”Then it’s settled, see you later.”

After hanging up, Zhang Jingdong restarted the car, skillfully operated it, and soon left West University.

About twenty minutes later, the black Land Rover slowly parked at the entrance of Yuan Family Cuisine.

Zhang Jingdong got out of the car and went directly into the courtyard.

When he arrived at the main building, the look the assistant gave him was noticeably more welcoming than yesterday.

”Boss Zhang, President Yuan instructed earlier, please come with me.”

Zhang Jingdong originally thought she would take him to yesterday’s private room, but she eventually led him to a resting room on the third floor.

This room wasn’t very big, only about 20 square meters in total.

There was a bed, a table, and a guzheng placed by the window.

Although the guzheng in the private room he visited before was already very valuable, the one before him now was clearly even more precious.

Moreover, he knew this guzheng should be for Yuan Mei’s personal use.

Because he could smell her fragrance from it.

He stood at the guzheng stand, gazed far out of the window.

Just after 5 PM, the sunlight began to soften, spreading across the pavilion and towers in the courtyard, making one feel as if immersed in the ancient times.

Zhang Jingdong admired the scenery for quite some time and then quietly sat down, casually playing ”Lotus”.

About five minutes later, the door quietly opened, and Yuan Mei personally pushed the food cart in.

Zhang Jingdong played a small section before finally stopping.

Yuan Mei clapped and praised: ”Indeed, only you can truly match this instrument.”

Laughing, Zhang Jingdong stood up and approached: ”It should be the two of us together that truly match this instrument, because if it didn’t have your fragrance, I definitely wouldn’t have played so effortlessly just now.”

”So let’s play a few songs together after we finish the meal.”

Yuan Mei instantly looked overjoyed: ”Okay!”

”Hurry, have your meal!”

Zhang Jingdong turned his head to look at the food cart, seeing five dishes and a soup placed on top.

There was steamed pork with plums, stir-fried meat with chili, sautéed shrimp, Eight Treasure Tofu, steamed bass, and a beef bone soup.

Although none of them were top-tier delicacies, the aroma alone overwhelmed Zhang Jingdong.

Thus, he picked up the bowl and chopsticks, entering eater mode directly.

Ten minutes later, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Boss Yuan, there are two things to completely conquer a man: one is to make him delicious food, and the other is to do that with him.”

”Now I officially declare, in terms of the first point, you’ve totally conquered me!”

Yuan Mei blinked her pretty eyes: ”Have I... not conquered you in that aspect yet?”

Zhang Jingdong truthfully said: ”Boss Yuan, if your cooking skills are 100 out of 100, then your skills in that aspect are at most 11 out of 100 now.”

”Only 11? You... you’ve given too few points!”

”Speaking honestly, given your food, I’ve already generously scored!”

”Then... what am I lacking?”

”The key is two things, one is courage and the other is initiative.”

”I... am I not proactive enough? This morning, I was already on the hotel balcony with you...”

”But it was I who brought you there, not you who took the initiative to ask.”

”Humph... your standards are too high!”

”It’s necessary since only strict teachers produce outstanding students.”

Yuan Mei hesitated for a few seconds, then said: ”Accompany me in playing the guzheng first. If you can help my guzheng skills improve, then I... I’ll definitely keep improving in that aspect too.”

”Are you serious?”

”... Absolutely serious.”
