Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Liu Zihan pursed her lips, ”How about... once every two weeks? A month is too long, I’m afraid I can’t resist.”

Huo Chengcheng: ”I think it’s best if we can come once a week. If Boss Zhang is busy, we can come by ourselves. After all, Boss Yuan is already one of our sisters now!”

”As long as we maintain a good relationship with Boss Yuan, we’ll definitely be able to enjoy her cooking often.”

Bai Shan glanced at Zhang Jingdong, seeing his smile deepen, she said, ”I agree, so we should come once a week. It’ll also be a good chance to learn piano, chess, calligraphy, and painting from Boss Yuan.”

”Boss, is that okay?”

Zhang Jingdong chuckled, ”I’d love it. The better you get along, the happier I am.”

Seeing Zhang Jingdong agree, Bai Shan and the others instantly had even sweeter smiles on their faces.

Zhang Jingdong stood up and said, ”Alright, since you enjoy Boss Yuan’s dishes so much, let’s go meet her properly now.”

Bai Shan and the others stood up as soon as they heard this.

Then they all went behind the screen.

Yuan Mei stopped playing the instrument and looked at Zhang Jingdong with anticipation.

”Zhang... oh no, Jingdong, do you think my piano skills have improved?”

Zhang Jingdong teased, ”Do you want the truth or a lie?”

Yuan Mei’s heart tightened: ”…The truth.”

”The truth is... your piano skills haven’t improved at all... but have improved greatly!”

He deliberately paused in the middle.

As expected, Yuan Mei fell for it.

After hearing the first half, Yuan Mei looked dejected, but after hearing the second half, she was a bit incredulous.

”Do you...do you really think I’ve improved?”

Zhang Jingdong nodded sincerely, ”Actually, when playing music reaches a certain level, technique becomes less important. What’s crucial is opening up your heart completely and expressing your emotions freely.”

”After all, every musical instrument is just a tool for the performer to express emotion.”

”The more naturally and freely we express our emotions, the more beautiful and moving our music will be.”

Yuan Mei carefully contemplated Zhang Jingdong’s words, then nodded thoughtfully.

”I understand. Your level is indeed higher, I need to keep learning from you!”

Bai Shan and the others, upon hearing Zhang Jingdong’s insights, also felt they were profound and full of wisdom.

Seeing Yuan Mei so convinced, their admiration for Zhang Jingdong increased even more.

Zhang Jingdong said, ”Alright then, today I won’t teach you music, I’ll teach you painting.”

”Since there are four beautiful ladies here, I’ll paint a ’Four Beauties’ portrait for you to admire.”

Yuan Mei, upon seeing Zhang Jingdong ready to showcase his talent again, was immediately excited.

”Great, I’m eager for it!”

Zhang Jingdong gestured towards the tea table, ”You can sit there and drink tea, relax as you wish, try not to be too stiff with your expressions, just be comfortable.”

Yuan Mei swiftly prepared the paper and brushes for Zhang Jingdong, then joined Bai Shan and the others at the tea table.

Zhang Jingdong prepared a bit, then said, ”Just chat freely, I’ll capture your essence.”

With that, he began painting.

Huo Chengcheng couldn’t help but marvel again, ”Boss Yuan, your food is just so delicious! In all my years, I’ve never had anything as tasty!”

Yuan Mei gave a gentle smile, ”Thank you, as long as you like it.”

Liu Zihan continued, ”Boss Yuan, did you learn your skills on your own, or did you have a mentor?”

Yuan Mei replied truthfully, ”Early on, I studied under a master chef of Huaiyang cuisine for two years, focusing on techniques and timing. Later, I researched extensively on my own and developed my style.”

”I see, I have to say again, your food is extremely, extremely delicious!”

”Thank you.”

Bai Shan asked, ”Boss Yuan, I’m curious when you started learning piano, chess, calligraphy, and painting?”

Yuan Mei thought carefully and replied, ”I believe it was when I was five. At first, I was interested in painting, then piano, and finally, I developed an interest in calligraphy and chess.”

Bai Shan marveled, slightly dejected, ”It really must be child’s play, achieving such high proficiency is truly remarkable!”

Though Yuan Mei seemed aloof, it didn’t mean her emotional intelligence was lacking.

To be precise, she could be indifferent to those she wasn’t interested in, but her emotional intelligence was significantly higher when interacting with those she cared about.

Given Bai Shan’s high regard in Zhang Jingdong’s view, Yuan Mei naturally found her interesting.

Yuan Mei immediately sensed Bai Shan’s desire to learn piano, chess, calligraphy, and painting to further win Zhang Jingdong’s favor.

She said, ”Although it sounds difficult, it’s never too late to learn. Many people start in their twenties, thirties, even forties, and some achieve high proficiency.”

”Besides, we have Boss Zhang. With his guidance, we’ll progress very quickly.”

”I was the same. Although I learned for many years, after turning 20, I felt stagnant in all aspects and didn’t know why.”

”During that time, I visited many experts and took numerous suggestions, but couldn’t make any significant breakthroughs.”
