New Ability Every Ten Days: Becoming a Vampire Made Me Too OP

The next morning, after breakfast, Yu Xian sent his aunt to the entrance of her company in Zenith City. Then, he teleported himself back to the front of his house.

Just then, Nora walked over from around the corner. Her long hair flowed like golden waves beneath the morning sun. On top of that, with a beauty that even her school uniform could not diminish, she looked like a fairy descended to the mortal world. Probably no one would ever imagine she was a vampire unless they already knew.

The moment Nora saw Yu Xian, who was several meters away, she could no longer hold back the smile on her face. She quickened her steps and approached him with a grin. ”Good morning, Big Salted Fish!”

Yu Xian turned around and slowly walked forward side by side with her, smiling. ”Morning to you too, Dazed Goose.”

Nora did not mind Yu Xian calling her that. Instead, she was a little bothered that she had not seen him the previous day. ”By the way, you didn’t come to school again yesterday. Were you busy with Qilin?”

Yu Xian smiled. ”No. Not at all, but a lot of things happened yesterday. Also, I have a family member now!”

Nora panicked. ”Family member? What happened? Don’t tell me you have a kid?”

Yu Xian turned to her, exasperated. Then he launched into the story about his aunt. Chatting idly along the way, the two gradually made their way toward the school.

When they arrived at the school gate, they saw Zhang Shou being the same as usual, lying on the ground in an ”orz” posture, an unwilling expression on his face. Nora threw him a curious glance. Yu Xian puffed out his chest, raised his head at a forty-five-degree angle, and walked past him with a smile. Zhang Shou was so angry that he pounded the ground.

Since Yu Xian had not kept it from him, Zhang Shou knew that his friend monitored the city through Super Smell. The previous day, Zhang Shou had bought a large amount of perfume and sprayed it over himself. Then, he wrapped himself in a layer of mud before spraying on another large amount of perfume. At a little past five, he had gotten up and run over to lie in ambush outside Yu Xian’s house.

In the end, all those layers of disguise had failed to fool Yu Xian. Yu Xian first sent Zhang Shou tumbling through a river to wash him clean, then dried him with a burst of hot wind before teleporting him to school.

Zhang Shou stood up and looked at Yu Xian and Nora. ”I refuse to believe you can keep doing this!”

The sight of those two, a handsome boy and a beautiful girl, looking like a match made in heaven, was too dazzling, too blinding, and far too painful for a brother’s heart. He was happy for Yu Xian, but damn, did it hurt. Zhang Shou swore to himself that he would succeed in third-wheeling them at least once. Otherwise, he would never feel at peace.

The first period was self-study. Yu Xian sat in his seat, browsing on his phone. He had already stored everything he was supposed to learn, as well as everything he was not to, inside his Super Brain. Getting full marks would be effortless for him. He had only come to school to relax.

After he awakened Super Heart, his Super Brain had become even stronger. He arranged a large number of ultra-small bubbles around himself and Nora. These bubbles continuously teleported fresh air to them, forming a protective layer around them. Now, they no longer had to fear their classmates farting.

As for Eternal Purity, she was a woman of her words. As long as Yu Xian did not take the initiative to speak to her, she was like an accessory, always following him. On top of that, she made no sound at all when she walked. Sometimes, when he was not paying attention, he would even overlook her existence.

So, he now had two living beings attached to him: Little Dummy, who always flew above his head, and Eternal Purity. In fact, whenever someone met him, they first glanced at him, and then at Little Dummy above his head. It was just that, out of politeness, most people would not ask what the thing above his head was.

Of course, if he ran into a bratty kid, that was a different story. Some time ago, he was buying snacks when a bratty kid asked him about it. Yu Xian had said, ”Big Brother’s head is a little dizzy, so little birds are circling above it.”

He had no idea whether the bratty kid believed him. However, after walking away, Yu Xian had used his Super Smell to spy on that kid and noticed that the kid rammed his head into a table. Presumably, the brat wanted a bird of his own too.

Zhang Shou, who was also slacking off, whispered, ”Salted Fish, look at Qilin’s bulletin. You’re in the news again.”

Yu Xian put aside the phone he used for entertainment, then took out the Qilin-issued one. On the Qilin app was a bulletin titled ”The Namo Race Disaster: Salted Fish Cracks Major Case.”

He had no intention of clicking the bulletin at all. He only felt that the words ”Salted Fish” seemed somewhat out of place among all the other words. I’ve gotten used to it, sure, but I really do want to change my codename.

Yu Xian lay on the desk and swiped the screen. Then he saw another piece of news from the previous day. Qilin’s response had been fast again. After his bubble clone submitted its report, Yu Lie had issued an order to conduct a large-scale investigation of all wealthy individuals and their family members in every city across the country.

Although they did not find any Namoan, they discovered several wealthy individuals being controlled by supernatural abilities. The people running this were already behind bars, awaiting trials.

In the future, investigations like this would probably become routine. As for the wealthy people who had firmly opposed such investigations in the past, they probably would not dare to object anymore. After all, no one wanted to become someone else’s puppet.

Yu Xian slacked off all the way until the afternoon.

Then the literature teacher walked in with a stack of test papers, and many students who had long since lost all interest in studying wailed inwardly. Yu Xian was an exception. He had no fear of exams at all. After receiving the test paper, he used a hand-shaped bubble to hold his pen and quickly wrote down the answers. And in just five minutes after receiving the paper, he handed it in.

After that, he remembered he had accumulated another large pile of equipment, so he checked it inside his desk drawer. Most of this equipment had come from members of the Rising Tide Society, while some had been seized from individuals controlled by the Namo Race. He planned to keep the equipment he needed and donate the rest to Qilin for free.

The main reason was that he had obtained a large amount of gold on the Red Planet, so he really was not short on money now. Because of that, he could not be bothered to sell them.

Most members of the Rising Tide Society used blades, while some used swords. These weapons were generally not of high grade. Most were at only Bee rank, while a small number of higher-quality ones could reach Sparrow rank.

Yu Xian took out a spatial ring and placed these weapons inside it. When he reached the Grand Earthbound Megalith Mountain-Crushing Blade left behind by Hong Zheng, a thought came to mind. The containment object No. 033 in the Supernatural Containment Facility—the Grand Blazing Inferno Heaven-Incinerating Blade, which he had wanted before—seemed to follow the same naming convention as the Grand Earthbound Megalith Blade.

Could these two be connected somehow? Or could they even be part of a set?

He turned toward Eternal Purity. ”Auntie, have you ever heard of the Grand Earthbound Megalith Mountain-Crushing Blade and the Grand Blazing Inferno Heaven-Incinerating Blade?”

She immediately answered, ”The Grand Earthbound Megalith Mountain-Crushing Blade in your hand is merely a fake among fakes. The two blades you mentioned are both legendary divine blades. As far as I know, there are ten such divine blades in total, but I know the names of only five of them.”

”Which five?”

”The Grand Blazing Inferno Heaven-Incinerating Blade, the Grand Earthbound Megalith Mountain-Crushing Blade, the Grand Torrential Deluge Ocean-Surging Blade, the Grand Glacial Frostflower Arctic-Chill Blade, and the Grand Thunderous Cataclysm Lightning-Striking Blade. The prefix ’Grand’ implies that these ten divine blades can be unleashed to their full potential only by someone who has reached the Almighty rank. Unfortunately, even Impermanence has never seen an authentic divine blade. It seems only fakes exist throughout the myriad worlds.”

Yu Xian subconsciously gulped. A weapon whose true power can only be unleashed by someone in the Almighty rank. Just how powerful would that be?

Unfortunately, the Grand Earthbound Megalith Mountain-Crushing Blade in his hand was clearly only a fake. He had appraised it just now, and this blade was only at Dragon rank. Obviously, it could not be genuine. However, even as a fake, this blade was very powerful. If used by an expert in blade techniques, it would show astonishing might.

Yu Xian took out a piece of cloth and carefully wiped the blade, cleaning off all the bloodstains and dust on it. The reason he cherished it was entirely that it had been Hong Zheng’s blade.

Compared to its power, Yu Xian placed a far higher premium on its sentimental value. As long as he saw it, he would forever remember the Rising Tide Society, Hong Zheng, Cui Xianzhen, and every single person who had sacrificed their life.

After the period ended, the students were wailing in misery. Clearly, they had not done well on the exam. All of them were lying on their desks to rest.

Nora turned around and asked quietly, ”Big Salted Fish, can you go somewhere with me after school?”

Without waiting for Yu Xian to answer, she quietly explained the matter. It turned out that she could not buy better defensive equipment from legitimate shops, so recently, she had been offering a heavy reward for it online.

The previous day, someone had contacted her about it. However, she was worried that the other party could have bad intentions, so she wanted Yu Xian to go with her.

Nora had bodyguards, and the other party was most likely only after money, so nothing would probably happen. Still, Yu Xian immediately agreed to accompany her. He also wanted to buy some defensive equipment for Su Zhuo.

In addition, the spatial rings he had on him were all on the larger side, and every one of them was a man’s ring. He also wanted to buy a spatial ring that a woman could wear for Su Zhuo.

After school ended, students left in groups of twos or threes. Yu Xian and Nora followed the flow of people out of the school gate and headed toward the location they had agreed on with the other party.
