New Ability Every Ten Days: Becoming a Vampire Made Me Too OP

The massive red greatsword violently clashed against the giant serpent’s fangs, unleashing a deafening explosion.

The Supreme Martial Zombie King had instinctively raised its greatsword and blocked the giant serpent. Flames gradually flickered to life in its empty pupils. It opened its mouth and let out a roar, then swung the greatsword with both hands, sending the giant serpent flying backward. The creature crashed into the ground several thousand meters away.

Not far behind it, Yu Xian let out a breath of relief. Just as he had predicted, the Supreme Martial Zombie King was able to match the giant serpent stride for stride. Though, in that clash, the giant serpent had underestimated its opponent. At that moment, it had merely been chasing and hunting Yu Xian and Zhang Shou, rather than fighting.

The giant serpent flipped itself back up and stared at the Supreme Martial Zombie King. It opened its bloody maw and let out an intimidating roar. But the zombie showed no intention of moving aside. With greatsword in hand, it remained motionless.

The next second, the real battle began. The giant serpent shot out curving beams of light through all of its eyes. The beams gathered above its head, forming a long horn. Then it rammed straight toward the Supreme Martial Zombie King.

A deafening boom rang out. The giant serpent’s attack hurled away the Supreme Martial Zombie King, and the zombie vanished beyond the horizon like a meteor.

Fortunately, by then, Yu Xian and Zhang Shou had already teleported tens of thousands of meters away. The shockwaves from the battle did not harm them.

From a great distance, Yu Xian cast Appraisal on the giant serpent. The giant serpent’s attributes panel instantly appeared in his mind. When he went through it, his eyes widened.

Summary

- An evil god accidentally trapped in a dead world.

It isn’t a zombie! This giant serpent is actually just like us, a living creature that accidentally tumbled into this world!

Yu Xian suddenly understood why the giant serpent had been relentlessly chasing them down. This world lacked food, and not everyone could feed on light the way he could.

Moreover, even he would not last long in this world without Little Dummy constantly radiating light and heat above his head. The light in this world was simply too strange. It was dim, as if it were dead, and when it shone on the body, it carried no warmth at all.

Yu Xian could maintain his current state only thanks to the light emitted by Little Dummy. It was also why he was confident he would not starve to death.

The battle in the distance had not ended. The Supreme Martial Zombie King, which had been blasted away like a meteor, returned the very next second, also like a meteor. It appeared before the giant serpent and forced the creature back with a swing of its greatsword. The two sides relentlessly attacked each other, fire and sword-light crashing violently.

The shockwaves from their battle shattered everything around them. Spiderweb-like cracks appeared in the ground and spread madly. Many zombies buried underground were blasted apart before they even had the chance to crawl out.

Zhang Shou trembled. ”I’m just a tiny little bee. Is this fight really something I’m allowed to witness?”

Yu Xian laughed. ”Should I send you back first?”

He quickly replied, ”No, don’t. Let me watch a little longer. If things turn bad, then teleport me out.”

Yu Xian thought for a moment, then controlled the bubble to keep retreating. Mainly, he felt they were still too close right now. It was not safe enough.

In the distance, the Supreme Martial Zombie King and the giant serpent were beating each other down in a frenzy. Although the Supreme Martial Zombie King was two minor ranks below the giant serpent, its defense was truly strong. The giant serpent’s attacks could barely harm it. Instead, the Supreme Martial Zombie King’s greatsword had cracked quite a few of the giant serpent’s scales.

Again and again, the giant serpent used its massive body and tremendous strength to ram into the Supreme Martial Zombie King or swat it flying. But every time, the Supreme Martial Zombie King would adjust its angle at the first possible moment and rush back again, launching an even more violent assault.

Finally, after more than ten minutes, green flames erupted from the giant serpent’s eyes, and it instantly ignited. If before, it had looked like nothing but a disgusting monster, then at this moment, it finally revealed the divine might of a Fire God.

Within the roaring flames, its form resembled both a dragon and a serpent. Countless eyes opened within the fire, each unleashing green flame. From a distance, they resembled two dragon whiskers that constantly shifted in shape.

When the giant serpent entered its Fire God form, everything within ten thousand meters began to freeze over, while its body temperature rose rapidly. Swinging a claw formed from flames, the giant serpent sent the Supreme Martial Zombie King flying with a single blow. A huge charred mark appeared on the zombie’s chest, spreading at a pace visible to the naked eye.

Although the Supreme Martial Zombie King’s Boundless Yin-Yang could reverse elemental attacks, the zombie was clearly lower in rank than the giant serpent. As a result, the giant serpent was able to counter the ability and render it ineffective. No ability was absolute; an ability’s effectiveness was always relative.

The Supreme Martial Zombie King crashed into the ground, and the earth instantly collapsed, forming a huge crater. The shockwave blew away all the soil and zombie fragments in the surroundings. It even scattered the dark clouds in the sky.

As the thick dark clouds scattered, a crimson, chaotic, disorderly vortex of a starry sky appeared before Yu Xian and Zhang Shou. The sky looked as if it were formed from countless overlapping layers of red energy and rock.

The dead world appeared completely out of place against that disorderly red starry sky. It was as though two worlds had collided, and both had shattered like eggshells.

Zhang Shou looked up. ”An Abyssal Rift... This is way too huge.”

Yu Xian’s eyes widened. ”No, that isn’t an Abyssal Rift. That is the Abyss... This world has fallen into the Abyss. In the end, it will probably be fully assimilated by the Abyss and become part of it.”

He suddenly realized that this world was actually like a battered, broken ship, drifting within the Abyss. Perhaps the death of this world was not caused by the expansion of corpse miasma alone. Perhaps the invasion of the Abyss had also played a role in it. The two forces acting together had caused all living creatures in this world to die out.

On the ground, the Supreme Martial Zombie King rose from the huge crater. It let out a low roar and charged at the giant serpent again, raising the greatsword in its hand and slashing toward the serpent’s head.

But the giant serpent was even faster in its Fire God form. Countless flames gathered into a sword, and in the blink of an eye, it severed the Supreme Martial Zombie King’s sword-wielding hand.

The terrifying sword of fire continued stretching for hundreds of thousands of meters, forcibly carving a chasm into the earth that no ordinary person could cross. The sight was too magnificent, too shocking. Yu Xian and Zhang Shou both stared at the scene, their mouths wide open, their hearts filled with lingering fear.

If the giant serpent had used its full power against them from the start, they would have had absolutely no way to survive. Fortunately, two little shrimps like them clearly were not worth the giant serpent revealing its Fire God form.
