New Ability Every Ten Days: Becoming a Vampire Made Me Too OP

After they had completely dealt with the incident at the Perfect Lifeform factory, Yu Xian quietly returned to school and took his seat. The periods in the afternoon were basically all self-study ones, so he didn’t have to spare his attention elsewhere.

He closed his eyes and carefully sensed the changes in his body. At the Perfect Lifeform factory, although Yu Lie and Xiao Cheng had been present alongside him and it had been very safe, he had never let his guard down. Because of that, he had not carefully checked the exact condition of his body. Now, he was free to perform a full self-diagnosis.

First were Silver Blood and Ultimate Source Blood. Although Ultimate Source Blood was transformed from Silver Blood through the Perfect Lifeform heart, the two remained completely distinct.

So, two kinds of blood were now running in his blood vessels. They were like two rivers of different colors flowing side by side. Yu Xian tried to merge them, but no matter how tightly they tangled, the moment he stopped controlling them, they would separate again.

In addition, the total amount of blood in his body remained unchanged. The more blood he transformed into Ultimate Source Blood, the less Silver Blood he had. Moreover, newly generated blood was not Silver Blood, but only ordinary vampire blood.

As for ordinary vampire blood, Yu Xian tested it and found that he could not convert it into Ultimate Source Blood through the Perfect Lifeform Heart. Therefore, he first had to consume silver and convert more of his ordinary vampire blood into Silver Blood. Only then could he transform that Silver Blood into Ultimate Source Blood.

Originally, he had planned to capture a large number of creatures and control them through Ultimate Source Blood. But after learning the conditions required to produce Ultimate Source Blood, he immediately gave up on that idea. Silver was just too expensive.

No, that won’t do! I consumed nearly three-tenths of my total Silver Blood to subdue all those Perfect Lifeforms earlier. I have to get Qilin to reimburse me.

Yu Xian took out his phone and sent Xiao Cheng a message. He described how he produced the Ultimate Source Blood while also applying for reimbursement for the silver he had expended.

Xiao Cheng was sitting in a conference room at Qilin’s headquarters. When he saw Yu Xian’s message, a smile appeared on his face. He looked at the others. ”We were just worrying over what reward to give Little Fish. And now... the answer has arrived.”

He turned his phone around and showed the message to Yu Lie. Yu Lie could not help laughing. Since silver was so important to Yu Xian, they could as well reward him with one ton of silver this time, lest Yu Xian be driven back into poverty by his own ability.

Back in the classroom, Yu Xian soon received Xiao Cheng’s reply. When he saw that Qilin had decided to reward him with one ton of silver, he let out a slight breath of relief. With this, he would not have to worry about running out of silver for the time being.

After that, he put away the phone Qilin gave to him, took out the new ordinary phone he had bought, and slacked off.

Although the Perfect Lifeform factory had been destroyed, many follow-up matters still needed to be handled, including tracing the source of its supplies and funding and investigating the background of every member involved. Yu Xian did not need to handle such trivial matters. They could simply be left to the Combat Police unit and the staff at the branch office.

Yu Xian slacked off all the way until school ended. Then he walked home together with Nora, the two of them chatting and laughing along the way. But just as they were about to reach the entrance of Yu Xian’s house, Yu Xian frowned. His steps gradually slowed until he stopped altogether.

Seeing his solemn expression, Nora could not help asking, ”What is it?”

”The distance between Zhang Shou and me has suddenly changed. Something has probably happened.”

He had placed bubbles in the ears of every member of the Wickedness Purging Squad, which allowed him to keep track of their approximate locations at all times. Just now, Zhang Shou’s position had moved to a place extremely far away, even farther than the Supernatural Containment Facility. Yu Xian himself could not tell exactly where that place was. All he knew was that it was very far.

Yu Xian looked at Nora. ”Sorry. I need to go see what happened to Zhang Shou.”

Nora let out an empathetic smile. ”Go on. You know that bodyguards have been shadowing me all along, and truth be told, I am not weak either!”

She proudly raised a fist, as though she truly possessed immense strength.

Yu Xian smiled. ”Then I’ll see you tomorrow!”

Nora waved and nodded. ”Mm. See you tomorrow!”

The two of them smiled at each other. Immediately after, Yu Xian used a spatial bubble to teleport himself to Bluebird’s location. Until he had a clear grasp of the situation, Yu Xian didn’t want to recklessly teleport to Zhang Shou’s side, nor did he dare risk disturbing him. If Zhang Shou lost focus because of his sudden arrival, turning a manageable crisis into a fatal one, Yu Xian would be crushed by guilt.

At Twin West Mountain, Bluebird was searching for Zhang Shou when the bubble in her ear suddenly expanded. She immediately stopped and watched Yu Xian appear inside it.

Yu Xian immediately asked, ”Bluebird, what happened?”

Bluebird transformed back into her human form and perched on a branch. ”I don’t know what happened either. Death Medic’s abilities have a strong suppressive effect on zombies. These past few days, he and I have been splitting up to deal with zombies in Twin West Mountain. His efficiency at killing zombies is even higher than mine. We meet up every noon and evening. Just now, I came to look for him, but I couldn’t find him. Looks like it was a sudden incident.”

Yu Xian murmured under his breath, ”Looks like an unexpected turn of events.”

If Zhang Shou had discovered something, he definitely would have discussed it with Bluebird. Since even Bluebird did not know what had happened, Zhang Shou had definitely been teleported away very suddenly, almost in an instant.

After thinking it over, Yu Xian comforted the anxious Bluebird. ”You don’t need to worry about this. I’ll bring Zhang Shou back. You just keep doing what you were doing.”

He shrank the spatial bubble and returned it to Bluebird. The next moment, he became covered in red light and teleported back to his home.

Little Grifflet and the dragon-like Perfect Lifeform were waiting in the courtyard. He wrapped the two of them in spatial bubbles, then stepped into a bubble himself.

Although he worried that the danger awaiting him could exceed what he was capable of handling, some things simply had to be done, even if it meant walking straight into the lion’s den. Besides, backed by his Dragon Shield and two Dragon-rank pets, he wouldn’t necessarily come to any harm.

He remotely controlled the bubble inside Zhang Shou’s ear and expanded it. Then he teleported himself, Little Grifflet, and the dragon-like Perfect Lifeform to Zhang Shou’s location.

The scenery around him changed. He appeared on a stretch of pitch-black earth. Dense clouds covered the sky, and a heavy aura of death hung in the air.

Zhang Shou was controlling several Healing Touch tentacles to fend off zombies. When he saw Yu Xian appear out of thin air, he immediately shouted in excitement, ”Salted Fish!!”

Hearing the noise, the surrounding zombies became even more agitated and hopped forward with greater intensity. Zhang Shou consumed the Healing Touch tentacles even faster, which forced him to summon more of them.

Yu Xian swept his gaze around and discovered zombies were constantly waking from their slumber beneath the black earth. He landed on the ground and asked, ”Zhang Shou, what is going on?”

Zhang Shou wore a completely clueless look and squealed in a rush, ”I don’t know! At the time, I saw a zombie appear out of thin air, so I hit it with my Healing Touch. Who knew that when the zombie died, the space around it would also warp. By the time I came back to my senses, I was already in this damned place.”

Yu Xian thought it over and said, ”In that case, the zombies in Twin West Mountain were most likely teleported from this place. At the time, the space around that zombie probably hadn’t stabilized yet, and your attack caused an even greater spatial disturbance. That’s why you got pulled here.”

The chance of running into a zombie ”spawning point” was already extremely low, and Zhang Shou had just so happened to trigger a spatial disturbance on top of that. There was truly no one else with luck like that.
