Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1477 - 927: Taking Over the Wuxiang Sect

The city gates swung open, and three thousand Yujing Guard marched into the city, their steps in perfect unison as they took over the city’s defenses and public order.

Chu Lingxiao actually very much wanted to ask about these soldiers in front of her, but unfortunately she wasn’t familiar with Song Dashan, so she felt embarrassed to ask too much.

”Elder Chu, why don’t we find a place to have some tea? There are still many things I would like to consult you about!”

Song Dashan said to Chu Lingxiao.

”All right, let’s go to the Three Saints Tower in the city!” Chu Lingxiao said.

”Three Saints Tower?” Song Dashan asked in puzzlement.

”The Three Saints Tower is a tall tower the Wuxiang Sect built a thousand years ago for three great virtuous monks. These days, the Three Saints Tower serves as the government office that runs the city!” Chu Lingxiao explained.

Song Dashan suddenly understood. The two walked side by side into the city, the tall Cloud Tiger Cub following behind Song Dashan, seeming very curious as it looked at everything within the city.

Chu Lingxiao also looked the Cloud Tiger Cub over with some curiosity.

”This Cloud Tiger Cub doesn’t seem ordinary!”

A simple, honest smile appeared on Song Dashan’s face. ”Da Hu has already begun cultivating. It might not be long before it becomes a demon beast.”

”A demon beast!” Chu Lingxiao was even more shocked. ”Does the Yang family have many demon beasts?”

”Uh, this... forgive me, I’m not at liberty to say!” Song Dashan replied.

At present there was only one demon beast in the Spirit Source Land, the Green Wolf King, but there were now many Mutant Beasts in the Spirit Source Land cultivating the Taichu Transformation Skill.

The Gale Grey Wolf, the Golden Feathered Fire Crow, the Cloud Tiger Cub, the Red Cloud Horse and so on—various Mutant Beasts, under the guidance of the Beast Hall, were all cultivating the Taichu Transformation Skill.

These days the Beast Hall’s main task was to teach these Mutant Beasts the basic knowledge of cultivation, select the ones with relatively higher intelligence, and then further guide them in cultivation.

The Beast Hall’s demon beast training classes had already opened seven or eight cohorts by now.

However, becoming a demon beast was not easy. Without a tilt of resources in their favor, a Mutant Beast could only rely on its own bloodline and talent if it wanted to become a demon beast.

Song Dashan’s Cloud Tiger Cub seemed to have pretty good aptitude. Its intelligence was relatively high; it understood humans and was good at learning. Although it had not yet become a demon beast, it had already entered the introductory stage of cultivating the Taichu Transformation Skill.

Hearing this, Chu Lingxiao did not ask further, and instead started introducing the situation in the city to Song Dashan.

”After the incident with the Wuxiang Sect, Wuxiang City fell into chaos. Although we’ve been trying our best to maintain order, due to lack of manpower, there are many areas where we fall short!”

”If you want to restore the old order of the Wuxiang Sect, you may have to put in quite a bit of effort!”

”There are many Martial Arts Families in the city. Most of these Martial Arts Families have all kinds of ties with the Wuxiang Sect. The fall of the Wuxiang Sect has greatly affected them, and they may still have some feelings of gratitude toward the Wuxiang Sect!”

”There may be quite a few who want to rebuild the Wuxiang Sect!”

Chu Lingxiao said this and looked at Song Dashan.

Song Dashan wasn’t stupid. How could he not understand what she meant?

Since they wanted to rebuild the Wuxiang Sect, naturally they would want to take back everything that had belonged to the Wuxiang Sect.

But now the Yang family had taken over everything of the Wuxiang Sect, so these people who wanted to rebuild the Wuxiang Sect would inevitably treat the Yang family as an enemy.

”I will act with caution!” Song Dashan said.

As the two were speaking, a sudden clamor rang out not far away.

”Wuxiang City belongs only to the Wuxiang Sect, drive them out of the city!”

”Drive them out of the city!”

”Kill! Kill them!”

...

On a street not far away, several dozen Martial Artists suddenly launched an attack on a squad of soldiers who had just entered the city to maintain order.

The street, which had been quiet, instantly became chaotic.

”I forgot to tell you, there are still many Disciples of the Wuxiang Sect in the city. They may be hostile to you!” Chu Lingxiao said with a frown.

The Yang family was not the Xuanqing Sect. The Xuanqing Sect enjoyed immense prestige in the Sea of Spirit. When the Wuxiang Sect suffered its calamity and the Xuanqing Sect took over Wuxiang City, although it would make the Disciples of the Wuxiang Sect feel dissatisfied, it would not provoke attacks from them.

But it was different for the Yang family. The Yang family’s prestige was not yet enough to overawe these remnants of the Wuxiang Sect.

Moreover, the Yang family had previously only been a Family, while the Wuxiang Sect, as one of the three great sects, naturally looked down on a Family like the Yang family.

”It’s a minor matter. Elder Chu, please wait a moment!”

Song Dashan leaped onto the Cloud Tiger Cub and flew straight into the sky.

He looked down over the city and saw that quite a few disturbances had arisen within it.

In fact, at this time most of the commoners in the city were honestly staying inside their homes, not daring to go out. Those who dared to come out were mostly people with some status and position.

”Pass on my military order: Sealing the entire city! Whoever dares create chaos is to be killed on the spot!”

His booming voice rolled over Wuxiang City like thunder, a vast aura spreading out and covering the sky above the city.

”Sealing the entire city!”

”Whoever dares create chaos is to be killed on the spot!”

”Kill!”

The soldiers shouted, and at once cries of killing rose on all sides, the turmoil in the city growing even more severe.

”They’re going to kill us, fight them!”

”Kill!”

The Wuxiang Sect remnants also seemed to grow enraged. They poured into the streets and clashed in bloody combat with the Yujing Guard soldiers.

In an instant, the whole of Wuxiang City seemed to have turned into a battlefield of slaughter. More and more fights broke out, and the situation became increasingly chaotic.

Seeing this, Chu Lingxiao hurried to fly to Song Dashan’s side and said, ”Guest Elder Song, isn’t this a bit too much?”

Many of these people were Disciples of the Wuxiang Sect, and the three great sects were originally like branches from the same trunk. After the Wuxiang Sect was destroyed, no matter what, the Xuanqing Sect ought to look after the remaining Disciples of the Wuxiang Sect.

Gazing down below, Song Dashan said in an even tone, ”The Family Head has given the order: where there is chaos, there must be a great slaughter.”
