”It’s those damn counterfeiters,” Fang Yi said, grinding his teeth. ”The Soul-Stabilizing Incense, Vitality Pills, and Beauty Pills are so popular they’ve attracted a swarm of them. With help from the drug administration and the police, we’ve busted a few of their operations, but there are still so many more we don’t know about. All kinds of fake Soul-Stabilizing Incense, Vitality Pills, and Beauty Pills are still showing up on the market, causing huge damage and disruption to the brand we’ve just started to build!”

Zhao Yuan nodded.

’Fang Yi is right,’ he thought. ’The Soul-Stabilizing Incense, Vitality Pills, and Beauty Pills are just getting started. If we let the counterfeits run rampant, it’ll be a devastating blow to the brand!’

’We have to take fighting these fakes seriously.’

Zhao Yuan pondered for a moment. It was difficult for Fang Yi and his people to investigate the counterfeit operations, but for him, it wasn’t a problem at all. With the Tracking Technique, there was nothing and no one in the world he couldn’t find.

”Little Brother Zhao, I’m going to make a trip to the drug administration and the police department to see if they have any new leads. Once you’ve mixed the medicine, have Old Zheng take you back to school,” Fang Yi said, turning to leave.

”Wait,” Zhao Yuan called out to him.

”Is there something else?” Fang Yi asked.

Zhao Yuan answered evasively, ”Don’t be in such a hurry to leave. I’ll have something for you after I’m done mixing the medicine.”

Fang Yi was taken aback. ”What is it? Can’t you give it to me now?”

”I said wait, so wait.” Zhao Yuan waved his hand dismissively and, without another word, strode into the workshop and closed the door.

Fang Yi hesitated for a moment but ultimately decided to do as Zhao Yuan said. He went to the adjacent office building to sit and wait for him to finish with the medicine.

Having done this once before, he was much faster at preparing the medicine this time.

After preparing the ingredients for the Soul-Stabilizing Incense, Beauty Pill, and Vitality Pills and grinding them all into a powder with the machine, Zhao Yuan stored the remaining herbs in his Storage Ring. He then took out a pen and paper, activated the Tracking Technique, and began searching for the locations where the counterfeit products were being made.

As expected, the Tracking Technique did not disappoint. One by one, the addresses of the counterfeit operations appeared on the paper.

”Done.”

When the pen finally stopped moving, Zhao Yuan looked at the several pages full of addresses and nodded in satisfaction. He was about to put the pen away when he suddenly had another idea.

’Since I already have the Tracking Technique active, I might as well check on the location of that other Spiritual Pearl.’

Zhao Yuan immediately set to work and quickly got a result. The paper now read: ”Currently enshrined in Lingyin Temple, west of West Lake.”

”In Lingyin Temple? And it’s being enshrined?” Zhao Yuan’s brow furrowed slightly.

He knew of Lingyin Temple. It was a thousand-year-old monastery, and it was said that the high monk of the Southern Song Dynasty, Jigong, had once lived and cultivated there.

He just never imagined the other Spiritual Pearl would be in a holy site of the Buddhist Sect. Not only that, but it was being enshrined. This meant the treasure hidden beneath the Copper Armor had definitely been discovered, and was probably even being treated as a Buddhist Supreme Treasure! Otherwise, it wouldn’t be handled this way.

A look of regret crossed Zhao Yuan’s face. He sighed, ”What a shame. I was planning to find some time to get my hands on that Spiritual Pearl, but now it looks like there’s no chance.”

’The treasure is being enshrined by Lingyin Temple,’ he thought. ’I can’t just go steal it, can I? If I did that, I’d become the public enemy of the entire Buddhist Sect!’

’I wonder what kind of treasure is gestating inside that Spiritual Pearl? If I ever get a chance to go to West Lake, I’ll have to visit Lingyin Temple to see it,’ Zhao Yuan mused. ’Even if I can’t have the treasure, I can at least take a look, right?’

Putting away the pen and paper, Zhao Yuan pushed open the workshop door and walked out.

Seeing this from the office building, Fang Yi hurried over to him and asked, ”Is the medicine all prepared?”

”It’s done.” Zhao Yuan nodded. ”You prepared way too many herbs this time, didn’t you? It nearly killed me.”

Fang Yi scratched his head, embarrassed. ”I couldn’t help it. The factory is running on a three-shift system now. The people take breaks, but the machines don’t. We’re producing Soul-Stabilizing Incense, Beauty Pills, and Vitality Pills twenty-four hours a day, so the demand for raw materials is massive. I can’t trouble you to come over and mix a batch every single day, can I? So I had to ask you to prepare a larger quantity at once.”

Then he asked, ”Didn’t you say you had something for me? What is it?”

”This.” Zhao Yuan handed him the papers.

Fang Yi took them and glanced over them. He saw they were covered in addresses, all incredibly detailed, down to the specific street, complex, building, and unit number. He was puzzled and asked curiously, ”What is this?”

Zhao Yuan replied, ”The addresses of the counterfeit operations. They’re all here.”

Fang Yi’s jaw dropped, his face a mask of disbelief. ”For real? Where did you get this? And in such detail?”

Zhao Yuan said, ”I had someone get them for me. I can’t disclose the specifics, but I can guarantee these addresses are one hundred percent real. Just follow the list, and I promise you’ll find an operation at every single one.”

Fang Yi had many questions, but since Zhao Yuan wasn’t talking, he didn’t press the issue. After dropping Zhao Yuan back at the school, he thought about it and decided to go scope out one of the addresses on the list first.

When he arrived at the location, Fang Yi didn’t rush to knock on the door. Instead, he hid nearby and waited. Before long, he saw a few people arrive and knock on the door of the suspected operation. He quickly peeked inside, and though it was only for a brief moment, he got a clear view of the situation.

There was a large, filthy table, with several people standing around it, rolling Medicine Pills and incense by hand. Who knows what materials they were using, but instead of a refreshing, subtle fragrance, the place reeked of a foul odor.

”It really is a counterfeit operation!”

Fang Yi felt like his heart was about to leap out of his chest.

”The address Little Brother Zhao gave me is real! This is incredible! Absolutely incredible!”

He was ecstatic. There were dozens of addresses on these pages. If they were all counterfeit operations, taking them all down at once would deal a massive blow to the counterfeiters’ momentum and serve as a powerful deterrent to anyone else with illicit ideas, making them think twice before trying something similar.

Fang Yi immediately went to the police department and the drug administration. Both agencies took the matter very seriously, immediately dispatching personnel to form a joint enforcement team. They simultaneously raided the dozens of addresses, catching all the counterfeiters in one fell swoop!

Meanwhile, Zhao Yuan returned to his dorm room only to find his three roommates weren’t there. Puzzled, he took out his phone, dialed Liu Zhu’s number, and asked, ”Boss, where are you guys?”

Liu Zhu replied, ”We’re out buying a birthday present for Lin Xue. Third Brother, have you gotten a gift yet?”

A birthday present?

Zhao Yuan froze, then it suddenly hit him. Tomorrow was Saturday, Lin Xue’s birthday. He couldn’t possibly show up to her party empty-handed, could he?

’But what would be a good birthday gift?’

After hanging up, Zhao Yuan began to ponder. A moment later, an idea struck him. He hailed a taxi to Cheng Yunlong’s Shufang Studio, intending to make a gift for Lin Xue with his own hands.
