Divine Level Witch Doctor

After leaving the bar, Zhao Yuan and the others went straight back to the hotel.

It couldn’t be helped; they were carrying too many things to do anything else conveniently.

The moment they entered the hotel room and closed the door, Zhao Yuan immediately placed the stone carving and the sphere into his Storage Ring. To him, the Storage Ring Space was the safest place to keep his treasures, far more secure than any safe.

After putting their things away, Liu Zhu, Lin Xue, and the others gathered one by one in Zhao Yuan’s room.

Yang Zi glanced around the room, but seeing no sign of the stone carving or the sphere, she couldn’t help but ask, ”Xiaoyuanzi, where are those two treasures you bought? Where did you put them?”

”I called a courier to ship them back to Rongcheng City,” Zhao Yuan said, casually making up an excuse. He couldn’t very well tell them the treasures were inside the Jade Ring on his hand, could he? They would be scared to death!

”A courier? But those are treasures worth millions! Aren’t you afraid they’ll get swapped or damaged on the way?” Yang Zi asked, her face full of worry and nervousness.

”I got insurance. If there’s a problem, they’ll have to compensate me,” Zhao Yuan replied, then quickly changed the subject. ”Come on, help me hold down the White Cat. I need to give it an emetic.”

Zhao Yuan had already tried giving the White Cat the medicine, but the usually obedient and well-behaved little creature was completely uncooperative when it came to taking it. No matter how he tried to coax or threaten it, the cat simply wouldn’t open its mouth.

Left with no choice, Zhao Yuan had to resort to force.

Liu Zhu, Wang Rongfeng, and Wu Yan all pitched in to help. Some held its paws, another pinned down its body, and one was specifically in charge of holding the White Cat’s head still to keep it from thrashing about.

”Oh, Xiaobai, Xiaobai, you sure bullied us enough when we were training. Now, it’s finally our turn to get some revenge!” Wu Yan said with a sinister grin, looking as sleazy as could be, just like a villain from a movie.

Wang Rongfeng laughed too. ”Heh heh, it’s no use struggling now! I bet you really want to beat us up, don’t you? Too bad you’re pinned down tight. There’s no way you can hit us now!”

Liu Zhu, in a classic ’better you than me’ moment, chuckled and said, ”What are you glaring at us for? Forcing you to take medicine was Third Brother’s idea. Every debt has its debtor. If you want revenge, go find him. Don’t blame us.”

Zhao Yuan shot Liu Zhu the middle finger. He pinched the White Cat’s mouth open with his left hand and stuffed a suitable amount of the emetic inside with his right. Then he covered its mouth and nose, trying to force it to swallow the medicine.

The White Cat struggled for a moment to no avail and could only surrender. Its throat bobbed twice noticeably.

”It swallowed! It swallowed!” Lin Xue, who had a keen eye, hurriedly pointed out.

Only then did Zhao Yuan let go, and Liu Zhu and the other two relaxed their grip.

The White Cat took a deep breath, suddenly broke free from their grasp, and with a sharp opening of its mouth, spat out the emetic it had just been forced to take. Wu Yan couldn’t dodge in time and got a face full of it, nearly dying from disgust.

”Fuck, it didn’t swallow the medicine!”

”It was just pretending to trick us.”

”Xiaobai is too smart, isn’t it? It’s practically become a spirit! Aren’t spirits not allowed to form after the founding of the nation?”

Exclaiming in shock and trading complaints, the group scrambled to catch the White Cat again. But having been fooled once, how could it let itself be caught so easily? Relying on its agile movements and swift speed, it dodged and weaved around the room, leaving all eight of them panting for breath without managing to catch it.

Zhao Yuan was utterly shocked.

He had even used his Jade Ring Step to try and catch the White Cat, but it was still no use. He hadn’t managed to grab even a single hair!

’Isn’t this cat’s speed just insane?’

Just as Zhao Yuan was hesitating, wondering if he should use a Shrinking Earth Talisman, the White Cat suddenly leaped into his hands of its own accord.

Seeing this, Liu Zhu, Wang Rongfeng, and Wu Yan were overjoyed. They closed in from three different directions, cackling in unison, ”Haha, you must have panicked and run right into the trap! Don’t blame us for what happens next!”

They didn’t notice that Zhao Yuan’s expression had turned a bit strange.

”Third Brother, come on, we’ll help you hold it down! This time we have to make sure it swallows the medicine!” Liu Zhu said. Having been tricked by the cat just now, he found it a little hard to accept, feeling as if his intelligence had been insulted.

Wang Rongfeng and Wu Yan chimed in, ”That’s right! This time we’ll wait until we’re absolutely sure it’s swallowed the medicine in its mouth before we let go. We won’t be careless again!”

As they spoke, the three of them moved to grab the White Cat.

”Wait,” Zhao Yuan stopped them.

”What is it?” The three of them froze, their faces full of confusion.

Zhao Yuan reached out and felt around the White Cat’s stomach. A moment later, his expression strange, he said, ”The Copper Bell is gone.”

”What?”

This time, it wasn’t just Liu Zhu and the guys; the four girls’ mouths also dropped open in astonishment. They all rushed forward and felt the White Cat’s belly, and sure enough, they couldn’t feel the Copper Bell.

Normally, with the Copper Bell inside the White Cat’s stomach, they should have been able to feel something hard with just a light touch.

”What happened? Could it have spat it out?”

”When did it spit it out? While we were chasing it? But we haven’t seen any sign of the Copper Bell in the room.”

”Maybe it spat it out outside? And we just didn’t notice?”

Everyone chattered away, guessing where the Copper Bell could have gone.

An idea struck Zhao Yuan. He activated his Qi Observation Technique and glanced at the White Cat, only to discover with surprise that a ball of Qi was still churning in its stomach.

The Qi was still there, but the Copper Bell was nowhere to be seen.

’What’s going on?’

’Could the White Cat have actually digested the Copper Bell? Is that even possible? What’s in its stomach, concentrated sulfuric acid or just stomach acid?’

Zhao Yuan’s mind was filled with questions, and the White Cat seemed more mysterious than ever.

After racking his brain and coming up with no answers, Zhao Yuan could only give up.

Still, the Copper Bell being gone was ultimately a good thing. At least he no longer had to worry about the White Cat getting sick because of it.

’This little thing can actually eat and absorb a Magical Treasure... Could it be some kind of legendary Spirit Beast?’

The thought suddenly flashed through Zhao Yuan’s mind. But he quickly dismissed it.

’I’m overthinking it. How could there be so many Spirit Beasts in the world? Besides, this little guy was in a pretty sorry state when I found it, it even had a wound on its back. If it were really a Spirit Beast, how could it have fallen on such hard times? It must just be a coincidence.’

With the matter of the White Cat resolved, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. They immediately left the hotel again and went to wander around another antique market.

Seeing that Zhao Yuan had managed to find a treasure worth millions in a single day, Yang Zi and the others were all pumped up, as if they’d been injected with chicken blood. They searched all over the antique market, hoping to score a lucky find of their own. But how could lucky finds be so easy to come by? Besides, none of them knew much about antiques. After a full circuit, all they had to show for it was some idle sightseeing.

Zhao Yuan, on the other hand, spotted a few more Qi-Containing Copper Coins and bought them without hesitation.

After resting for the night, the group took a flight back to Rongcheng City early the next morning.

Just as their car pulled up to the gates of West Hua Medical University, Zhao Yuan and the others were stunned by the sight that greeted them.
